Mid of this month, I was able to be invited in a very foreign setting of event in which I may say it's quite interesting. Yup, it's quite interesting because most of the people present were foreign. This is the first time that I'm in a crowd of foreigners.
Anyway, it was October12, 2012, Friday was the initial start of the three day event of the Mabuhay Germany. It was a weekend of a perfect blend of business, culture and fun-filled family activities. The event was organized by German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry or GPCCI in cooperation with the German institutions in the Philippines.
As part of their annual event GPCCI member companies and the German institutions hold their exhibit to showcase products and services which is a trade fair like atmosphere all over Bonifacio High Street. People and passersby can see and discover new released products and fun games in the various exhibitor's tents. The fair is supplemented by symposiums about up-to-date topics, this opportunity gives a surprising insights into the different shapes of the German-Filipino business relationship.
The opening night was filled with German music and German foods are flowing in the whole of Bonifacio High Street plus the number one drink, the beers. I've never tried any German beer brand but this night I was able to gulp a bottle of their beer. With quite interesting taste and some sort of kick. Too bad I was filled with commitment during the weekend I was hoping that I could celebrate more with the German culture.
The trade fair is framed by a great deal of entertainment. Various activities awaits in the main tent which will be located in the center of Bonifacio High Street during the whole weekend: Expect crowd drawing music artists, sports games, movie night, photo competition, singing competition and more!
I'm hoping to experience this once again next year and perhaps meet more brands as well in the Mabuhay Germany.
