For those fans of Marvin Agustin and of course those who loved the foods on his restaurants, here's something that would make you proud of him. Famed not only in the entertainment industry, now in the food industry as well. Here's the details of him being named as Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

When restaurateur Marvin Agustin was included in the list of the 17 finalists for Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year awards, the actor-turned- entrepreneur never imagined that he will bag one of the five awards during the recently-concluded Awards Banquet held at the Makati Shangrila Hotel.

“I really did not expect that I’d bring home an award,” says Marvin. “I am with such distinguished roster of respected people in the industry, people whom I really look up to, so I really didn’t think that I will bring home an award.”

Marvin admitted that he thought, out of the 14 finalists, only one will be declared winner. This is the reason why Marvin never really expected to win.

Unknown to Marvin, however, a Young Entrepreneur of the Year award will be given and luckily, the actor-entrepreneur got the distinction.

Marvin was joined by his mom during the said ceremonies.

He adds that his mom was more excited than him.

Marvin shared that a night before the banquet his mom, while reading the Bible, was asking for a sign if her son will win the recognition. Then, she chanced on a passage implying that since she has not wished for quite a while, the desires of her heart will be given to her.

So Marvin’s mom Teresa told him that he might win during the day of the event.

“I am really blessed that my mother supports everything that I do and she is super proud of my achievements,” shares Marvin. “She will always be my inspiration.”

Asked to differentiate receiving acting awards from the Young EOY commendation, Marvin quips, “when you win acting awards, it is inspiring because peers approve of your work. But here in the EOY, it is inspiring because of what it symbolizes – the recognition of the hard work you’ve put in to make your employees and their families survive.”

Marvin noted how National Bookstore founder Socorro Ramos approached him and said, “You have a beautiful story. Keep inspiring the youth.”

This recognition, according to Marvin, simply proves that with hard work, dedication, and determination, dreams really do come true.

For Jason Fernandez, leaving Rivermaya is one of the most difficult decisions he has made in his lifetime. The said step tested not only his faith, but also his courage to continue his passion for music. Luckily, he has supportive friends and colleagues to encourage him to continue doing what he is destined to do – sing, make music and entertain.

Jason’s new album Panimula is an emotional, musical testimony to his challenging, yet fulfilling journey as a musician.

When asked what the public can expect from the album, Jason quips that its sound will show his musical influences, including his former band Rivermaya.

“It is undeniable that Rivermaya and its music made me evolve not just as a musician, but also as a human being. The group has taught me a lot, and this album will prove that,” says Jason. “I will forever be grateful to Rivermaya for the opportunity and the lessons that they have imparted to me.”

The album contains songs about hope, lost love, life, and inspirations.

The album’s first single, the anthemic Maria challenges the listeners to rethink their ways and further highlights the versatility of Jason’s vocals.

Panimula also includes a collaboration between Jason and Pop-rock Princess Yeng Constantino in the sweeping ballad Panaginip.

The Thai heartthrob will be in Manila beginning Monday, October 29 until the first day of showing of their movie on October 31 just to personally promote it.  Aside from the grand premier night on Tuesday, October 30 at SM Megamall, Mario and Erich will also grace various ABS-CBN shows to promote their film.

This movie is directed by Rory B. Quintos and it tells the story of a Thai superstar Marcus Hanson which was played by Mario, who finds the magic of love in the Philippines, where he meets the heartbroken pastry baker named Joey Hermosa which was played by Erich.  It's quite disturbing with one of their scene.  If you want to know just watch it.

It's very common in a Pinoy setting of love story that a couple ends up in a happy ending.  The guy saves the girl from the bad guy, a slight action happens, the girl kisses the guy and poof it ends up with a great beautiful background with both of them happy kissing together.  But for this specific Pinoy love story, Walang Hanggan, the director perhaps made some quite few changes from the monotony of love story, they made it tragic enough to make a mark for the teleserye industry.   I could say that they've done it and I think they have marked everyone's heart with their heart felt ending because the entire country err the entire Filipino nation were morning together with the character of Dawn Zulueta (Emily) and Richard Gomez (Marco) with the death of Coco Martin and Julia Montes' character Daniel and Katerina.

Mid of this month, I was able to be invited in a very foreign setting of event in which I may say it's quite interesting. Yup, it's quite interesting because most of the people present were foreign. This is the first time that I'm in a crowd of foreigners.

Anyway, it was October12, 2012, Friday was the initial start of the three day event of the Mabuhay Germany. It was a weekend of a perfect blend of business, culture and fun-filled family activities.
