Seeing quite a number of celebrities in one momentous event is very rare but for this specific event in the entertainment industry, from the local and international scene, forty-four (44) names will gather together for the grandest gala of celebrities.... look-alikes. Yup! You read it right! It's the grandest gala of celebrity look-alikes or “Kalokalikes” that will compete for the crown as they level up with the semi-finals called “Kalokalike Level Up” which will happen in ABS-CBN's noontime trending show “It's Showtime” beginning this Monday, May 20.
This celebrity look-alikes waved and smiled like the real ones last Saturday as they walk down the red carpet lane to Dolphy theater. The forty-four (44) celebrity look-alikes were presented to the media. Most of these look-alike were already having their own gig and were already a celebrity because of the segment “Kalokalike” in “It's Showtime”.
Watch as these celebrity wannabes unleash their wild personality and charisma for the “Kalokalike Level Up,” the look-alike contest's semi-finals round that will be held over the course of two weeks starting from May 20 until May 31. Each day, a group of Kalokalike will battle it out to try to get a coveted spot in the grand finals that will be held on June 1.
Veterans in the industry will judge and scrutinize whether each of the 44 participants are truly Kalokalikes as there could only be one will emerge as the Ultimate Kalokalike who will bring home Php300,000.00. While the first runner-up and second runner-up will receive Php200,000.00 and Php100,000.00, respectively.
The “Kalokalike” segment of “It's Showtime” has been widely talked about since it was launched last January this year because of its sensational contestants which is truly kalokalike of the real ones like Coco Martin, Kim Chiu, Joey De Leon, and Daniel Padilla. The “Kalokalike” has also been a regular trending topic on social networking sites when it comes on in the program.
“Kalokalike Level Up” is just one among the many surprises and new segments of “It's Showtime,” the country's number one trending noontime show.
