Kuryente Load or KLoad, An Ease for Your Electric Consumption

Prepaid cards are the thing of today, from communication to transportation it makes life more convenient and easier. Now, there’s a new convenient way in having electricity run in our households and this is the first time that I’ve heard about it, though I have been hearing rumors about this concept, I haven’t got a chance to know it more until I saw one of the banners displayed at the Meralco branch where I’m paying our bills. So out of curiosity I asked some personnel of Meralco about it and a bit surprise how this works. This concept is called the KLoad or Kuryente Load and it is a thing that will definitely make a mark in the electricity service business.
It sounds new and something different. Yes it is new and its Meralco’s latest service offering that provides the basic utilities in a simpler means. KLOAD or Kuryente Load is the first ever prepaid electricity service integrated with mobile infrastructure. This KLOAD prepaid electricity system is not to replace the current system but as another option for new homeowners, condo or apartment owners.

In my opinion this would be great for households only whether with less appliances or with more than what they can afford as this will teach users the value of electricity and the discipline of conserving energy. Right now we’re planning to have another meter for the house so we’ll check out the option and perhaps have it on our house as well if it’s already available in our area, unfortunately it is not.

Meralco made this concept available to parts of the metro like Manila, Pasig, San Juan and Caloocan; and also to neighboring provinces like Cavite, Bulacan and Rizal (Cainta, Taytay, Angono, Binangonan). According to Meralco there are about over 8,000 satisfied KLOAD customers are already enjoying the services of this new system.

So how does this Meralco KLOAD works? Well it’s simple, with their intelligent meters specifically designed for KLOAD prepaid electricity users. I think it’s more likely of a payphone when you load your prepaid cards, then it runs its meter when being used.

FEATURES of the MERALCO KLOAD Prepaid Electricity can easily be understood.

  • Subscribers get a FREE Daily Balance Update via SMS. KLoad users also receive Reload confirmations and Low Load reminders. In this case, users don’t have to worry of running out of KLoad.
  • If in any case that KLoad runs out, it got a feature of automatic reconnection within 5 minutes after loading. No reconnection fee or visit the Meralco office needed.
  • KLoad users can load anytime and anywhere through Meralco Business Centers, Bayad Centers, and E-Load retailers such as Sari-Sari Stores, Generika drugstores, Mini Stop outlets and Robinsons Malls.
  • Loads are available in 100, 200, 300, 500 and 1,000 denominations.
  • There’s no bill deposit, no installation fee and no load expiration date, the only thing that users will be paying is their electricity consumptions.

So if you think your areas got this KLoad system already check out the nearest Meralco office and ask for the KLoad system.
