The Princess on Chickie Boy's Birthday Party at Max's Restaurant

12:34:00 PM

A few weeks ago, me and my youngest son was able to treat ourselves a little getaway from our usual gala (tour). Of course only a local city and mall tour. This is a father and son getaway. Our feet led us to the very first branch in Scout Tuazon of one of the well known restaurant in the country that serves fried chicken. I’m sure you know the tagline “sarap to the bones,” - Max's Restaurant, established in 1945.

We were invited to one of its occasions, particularly Chickie Boy's birthday party. In case you don't have any idea who Chickie boy is, he is the feathery friend of every kid in every birthday occasions Max's Restaurant. Most precisely the mascot. Yes, their mascot Chickie celebrated its birthday party where bloggers were invited.

The program is intended for the kids, for mommies and for the daddies. Since my kid is with me, well, he was able to experience the birthday party that Max’s Restaurant offers. It was Chickie Boy’s World of Fun, there were games and activities that my son really enjoyed, like the “Make and Get Crowned" where he himself designed his own crown, of course with the help of daddy. The “Visit the Princess Palace” where Gelo liked the Princess very much and he keep on taking pictures with her. I think most of the photos that we have are with the princess. The “Dart the Balloon", “Shoot the Ball”, and “Hit the Blocks” are some of the activities where Gelo won some prizes.

The party is filled with dances, clowns and fun. It was one of our most fun, exciting and enjoying day together.

"Daddy can I have a birthday like that," asked by my little one. I'm sure he asked because he wanted to have that princess at his birthday party. Witty little one.

Max's Restaurant give both fun and meaningful celebrations with their amenities offered.

• Three (3) hours use of venue
• Mascot appearance
• Use of party banner
• Party room decor
• Party host
• Party kit
• Giveaways
• Game prizes
• Birthday themed cake

*Amenities may vary on Party Package

So, will I throw a party for my little Gelo on his 7th birthday? Perhaps if that princess will still be playing princess.

Coco Martin and His #SarapNgSuccess Story with Max's Restaurant

1:21:00 PM
It always feels great to look back to where you came from and to what you have been through.  The hurdles and mazes of life that made you strong in facing life, those times that you almost give up and the hardships that you endure just to came out successful.  That's what makes success an important event to celebrate.

I remember my life as a student before.  How I tighten my belt just to cope up with the expenses and projects in school.  I remember budgeting Php50 a day going to school.  Dividing it for lunch, AM and PM snacks, and jeepney fare from Quezon City to Sta. Mesa.  It was indeed a struggle but I was able to made it and graduated from college.  It's not that much of a story but it was my life back in college.

That story is not much compared to the inspiring story of Coco Martin on how a simple waiter of Max's Restaurant become a well-known celebrity and the best of it is the endorser of the establishment where he once worked with.  From being a waiter at Max's Restaurant in 2000-2001 and now Coco Martin is one of the most respected actors in the country.

If you haven't seen the Max's TV commercial Kwento Ni Toto invites you to watch it here and take a peek into the TV commercial that depict Coco's journey to success. If you have any #SarapNgSuccess story and pictures depicting your own story, you can share it by completing the sentence "Successful ang araw ko dahil __________."

"Successful ang araw ko dahil nandyan ang pamilya ko na sumusuporta sa 'kin" (My day is successful because my family are there to support me.)

A Cycle of Missed Moments

8:29:00 AM

It’s Monday, another start of the week. Though my body urges me to go back to bed my mind is telling me to wake up or I’ll be late for work. That’s what I feel every Monday whenever I get up and prepare for work. My morning starts around quarter or few minutes before 5 am, preparing myself and getting ready to go to work. I leave the house at around quarter to six.

Before moving out of the house I make sure to have a last peek of the kids. It is a little keepsake for the whole week that I’ll not be around with them. I would be missing them for some time and it breaks my heart leaving the kids and my wife. They are Daddyless for the week but I have to because it’s for them.
