Last Wednesday, May 1, 2013, as numbers of rallyist march down in protest for higher compensation etc. for Malacanang, thousands of job seekers on the other hand troop down to different SM City malls all over the country not to rally and do demonstrations but to look for jobs that best fit for them. Yup, SM Supermalls together with the Department of Labor held their annual Job Fair for the convenience of job seekers.

Ever since I started my mall hopping activities, SM City San Lazaro became one of the malls that I always try to visit. Not just that this place brings childhood memories but gives me a sense of getting acquainted over and over again with this part of Manila. My father and I used to roam around this side of the city so it's like coming back to lost memories.

Right in the far side of the Metro Manila, the SM City San Lazaro Mall caters to most of the people and students in this area and their recent 3 Day Sale made it clear that this part of city sure does have plenty of people.


The 3 Day Sale started last Friday, September 28 where perhaps people have already started with their list of things to buy.   And as for me, I did my searching together with some of the bloggers and before that we were treated with a small festivity of food which I will be writing down on a different post because its really gastronomic.  For now I'll be talking about the sale and what happened to the sale yesterday.


As usual the people prefer to do their malling in the afternoon.  That's  the time when people crowded the mall.   It's really amazing looking at people doing their hunt and doing their per boutique hunt.


So what's the major things that happened during the 3 Day Sale?  Well, first of course there are lots of discounts and sales from different stores, second there was a dice game that shoppers can play and get a chance to win some prizes, third there were also some treats for the shoppers who craves for some foodies with their crave and save, and also there were drum and beat presentation right in front of the entrance to get the attention of passersby.

They’ve also instigate this event to have it just in time for the celebration of the Father’s Day as well and since the whole weekend will fall on a pay day. This will give shoppers more time to create their list of things to buy and more time to hunt the best discounts and sales inside the mall.

Sale or not sale people can sure find good buys at SM City San Lazaro or any SM City Malls, more specifically during sales and big discount events like this Manila Day Sale. Helping shoppers with the budget and hopefully extending it beyond its capacity.

The SM City San Lazaro is recognized as SM’s community mall located in the not so northern part of Manila. It is once known as the famous San Lazaro Race Track.

SM City San Lazaro’s establishments who participated in the said sale have created a small extension or kiosk, either in hallways or right just in front of their stores. This is to let Mall-goers notice that certain establishments are on sale.

Each stalls and stores displays their creativity with their set up and design concept for the sale. Their main goal is to attract the attention of shoppers and let their urge decide to buy something from them.

Shopping does not stop with clothing apparel and accessories, foods also joins in with a treat. Strolling around and hunting for great buys is really tiring. So SM City San Lazaro’s Food Court is here to quench that hunger and thirst.


So here are the satisfying food that we indulge in.

It is a small kiosk in the food court, quite new but offers something familiar and fast food for family and friends to enjoy. A delightful French fries flavored with sour cream, barbecue and cheese. It’s great for fast munching. Visit FRIENDS FRIES!




An old pinoy snack recreated with a new concept of fast, easy, and tasty food, the binatog has now joined the bandwagon of food carts. Being famous with the kids, the owner and co-owner Boy Abunda, a renowned TV Personality, experiments on this heavy tasty street food. SM City San Lazaro takes pride for having the first outlet of BOY BINATOG stationed at their food court.

This boiled, sticky corn kernels mixed with grated coconut meat and flavored with either milk or cheese can be a good snack to go. I remembered having it with just the grated coconut meat and sprinkled with salt. They will be having other outlets so better look for it soon.



I’m not sure if it is really the right and according to an online translation the literal English term for PAO is “to run” but if it is analyzed more with how the term PAO used on famous Chinese dishes it simply express fast food. Not sure if the owner is a Chinese but if you’re craving for something fast oriental, MY PAO can be added on your list.
