Tiger Leaf Spring, Best Value for Money

8:32:00 AM

Engineered to deliver maximum strength and durability, RAIPMC's OEM-quality Tiger leaf springs offer the best value for money

Press Release
MANILA, Philippines—XX March 2012—Out with the old, in with the new—at least when it comes to replacement auto parts.

That's the expert advice given by Michael Gonzalez, General Manager of Roberts Automotive and Industrial Parts Manufacturing Corporation (RAIPMC). Recognizing the tendency of car owners to opt for surplus items whenever a part needs replacing, he is quick to caution that “cheap and used” do not often deliver the same bottomline value as “brand new.”

"The savings that one supposedly makes by buying surplus products may all be illusory," Gonzalez asserts. "There is nothing practical about a second-hand auto part of unknown origin, with no warranty, and with no indication of how much is left of the product life cycle."

To help steer car owners into making genuinely value-driven decisions, Roberts AIPMC is thus working continuously to supply a diverse range of high-quality and cost-effective automotive products. This includes the company's Tiger leaf springs brand, which was launched in 1994 and has since been established as the only locally manufactured leaf spring trusted by original equipment manufacturers (OEM) like Mitsubishi Motors Philippines, Toyota Motors, Isuzu Philippines Corporation, Columbian Motors, Nissan/Universal Motors Corporation (manufacturer and distributor of Nissan light utility vehicles), and Pilipinas Hino.

But Tiger isn't just for the big industry names, Gonzalez points out. It's also for individual vehicle owners who may sometimes express reluctance at spending a little extra on a brand new replacement part, but won't hesitate to seize every opportunity to get the best possible value for their money.

Tiger represents one such opportunity. Unlike surplus or substandard leaf springs (or molye in Tagalog)—which may sag, break, or crack under heavy duty and extreme driving conditions—Tiger leaf springs are engineered to deliver maximum strength and durability, while helping spread passenger or cargo load more widely and effectively over the vehicle's chassis. All this, then, contributes to enhanced steering stability, better handling, and improved passenger comfort.

According to Gonzalez, the immediate positive impact that a new Tiger leaf spring assembly makes on a vehicle's suspension system is what sets the brand apart from the competition. He adds, "Our company always strives to meet international manufacturing standards, and it's good to know that our efforts translate directly into a better, smoother road experience for our clients."

RAIPMC's product catalog for Tiger includes conventional and parabolic types, and covers all kinds of automotive applications—for cars, buses, shuttles, jeepneys, tricycles, cargo trucks, tankers, mixers, delivery vans, pickups, utility vehicles, and more. By following an ISO 9001:2008-certified quality management system, and by subjecting each Tiger to a series of extensive load, hardness, and durability tests, the company is consistently able to develop OEM-quality leaf springs at a rate of approximately 600 tons per month.

Of course, at RAIPMC's 1,300-sqm. manufacturing plant in Cabuyao Laguna, quality tops quantity at all times. It is this example that Gonzales hopes more car owners will soon follow. "When it comes to leaf springs, or some other priority component of the car," he says, "don't go for what's cheaper. Go for what's better." Ducati's Monster 795

8:31:00 AM

I think mos to of us guys have always wanted to have those cool big bikes.  The sleek style, the jagged designs, and the roaring sound of their mufflers.  That's an ideal big bike!

I remember during my teenage days I get to know those motorbike brands and models through the game called Super Tramp which showcase the different types of airplanes, cars, battle tanks, missiles and motorbikes.  That's where I first read about the term "cc".  Not really sure about it but all I know is that the higher the number the greater the speed.  I don't if that game is still played today.

There are different brands of big bikes but there is one brand that is considered luxurious and well known, that is the Ducati.

Ducati is founded in 1962, Ducati has been producing sport-inspired motorcycles since 1946.  Their motorcycles are characterized by "Desmodromic" performance engines, innovative design and avant-garde technology.  Covering several market segments, Ducati's range of motorcycles are divided into model families which include: Diavel, Hypermotard, Monster, Multistrada, Streetfighter and Superbike.  These authentic icons of "made in Italy" are sold over 80 countries around the world, with concentration on the European, North-American and Asia Pacific markets.

Knowing Ducati as silent moving giant, they are introducing one of their model that would target the yuppies market.  They wanted more younger generation to own a Ducati.  Introducing the Monster 795!  This is an 800 cc bike, good speed that is rightfully good to run in an expressway.  The Monster 795 is an addition to the line-up that combines the user friendliness of the 696 with the sport character of the 796.  Delivering 87hp (64 kW), with a dry weight of just 167 kg (368 lb), the stylish new Monster 795 adds the magic of mid-range to the Monster family for our enthusiasts in Asia.

With the Desomodue 796 engine at the heart the machine, a double sided swingarm and revised ergonomics, the Monster 795 perfectly balances lifestyle performance with everyday functionality to enhance the original Monster spirit.

Dressed in Ducati red, with a bright red Trellis frame, the Monster 795 can be further personalized with an additional 10 colour scheme from the innovative Monster Art program, which features the latest collection "Logomania".

So what are the features of the Monster 795?  Here it is...

Ducati has continued to listen to its passionate Monster owners, using their valuable feedbacks for the designs of the new Monster 795.  The riding position has been revised by reducing the 796's height from a full 800mm (31.5inc) to 770mm (30.3in).  The combination of redesigning the seat shape and raising the handlebars by 20mm (0.8in) has improved posture and increased comfort.  With a dry weight of just 167kg (368lb), thanks to the lightweight engine, the new naked inspires confidence, making life simpler in the crowded cities all over Asia.

In pure Monster style, the entire chassis set-up is unified into a sturdy, great handling package by a bright red Trellis frame.  Lightweight, with incredible torsional stiffness, the large diamater tube construction flows into the cast aluminium rear sub-frame matches the matte black rear swingarm.

Twin 320mm semi-floating discs are gripped by radially mounted 4-piston Brembo callipers to provide powerful and progressive front-end braking with rider-friendly "feeling", while the rear is equipped with a 245mm disc and 2-piston calliper, also by Brembo.

The 17" wheels are in the 3 spoke style and produced in lightweight aluminium to keep the unsprung weight  low and handling, braking and acceleration performances high.  They roll on the 120/60 and 160/60 Pirelli Angel ST tyres.

Whew! Quite good features.  For sure even the not-so-bike-enthusiast would understand it clearly.
