Jolly Toy Scout For A Day, Cleaning The Toys For Jollibee’s Maaga ang Pasko

Do you know what happens to toys donated for Jollibee’s Maaga Ang Pasko by kind-hearted people like you? To be honest Kwento Ni Toto doesn’t really know what happens after placing those toys inside the Jollibee Maaga Ang Pasko box. We thought it goes straight to children this Christmas but we were wrong because just recently, Jollibee invited media and bloggers to cover and participate in the clean-up phase of the campaign and co-presenting is the official detergent partner, Breeze. Gathering all the toy donations nationwide for Jollibee’s 20th Maaga Ang Pasko sure is a very tedious activity and much more is the sorting and cleaning of the gathered toys, Kwento Ni Toto got a taste of that. Becoming a Jolly Toy Scout for a day.

As start of the kick off, Jollibee and Breeze did the series of special Laba Days which was held in Mandaluyong. The two brands also tapped celebrity moms Regine Tolentino, Bettina Carlos and Breeze’s Sige Mom Christine Bersola Babao, to lead the army of moms volunteering as Jolly Toy Scouts. Together with bloggers and volunteers from both brands, all worked together as one family to clean and prepare donated gifts. Of course gloves and other cleaning materials are given to volunteers as they help in the cleaning activity.

 Jollibee and Breeze aims to wash and clean more than 500,000 plush toy donations with the Breeze with ActivBleach. With its 1 Laba Guarantee owing to its revolutionary formula, Breeze transforms the old toys to good as new before they are delivered to beneficiaries.

According to Jollibee Vice President for Marketing Harvey Ong, “As Maaga ang Pasko celebrates its 20th year, Jollibee wants to further strengthen its commitment to make Christmas even brighter for more kids and rally more families, led by hardworking moms, to make this happen. We’re happy to partner with a brand whose values are the same as ours.” “With the support of a well-loved brand like Breeze, we are confident that the campaign can grow and expand even more in the years to come,” he added.

Aside from their partnership, Breeze has donated a complete array of cleaning materials and committed to help Jollibee collect more books and toys by placing Maaga ang Pasko boxes in Unilever officers, encouraging employees to donate.

Here’s what Unilever Vice President for Foods and Home Care Benjie Yap said “With its tough-on-stain formula, Breeze also makes it easier for our Maaga ang Pasko clean-up volunteers to remove dirt and stains from toys in just one wash.”
It was amazing though most of the participant volunteers are moms. Truly an experience to remember specially once you see that the toys all are clean already as if they are all new.
