NE-YO's Sophomore Single “FOREVER NOW”

It's been quite some time that I wasn't able to share something from the music scene and as for this year we will try to make some few changes and schedules with our postings.  We will be having a regular music schedule and it will be called the Monday Jam.  So everything with regards to music will be published in our Monday Jam.  This is just a tease so there will be more to come.

For now we have our Ne-Yo's Sophomore Single entitled "Forever Now".  Read more details about it below.

A new chapter in pop music history has been written, as multi-platinum, three-time Grammy Award-winning Motown Records artist NE-YO captured the #1 spot on the UK national chart with “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)”. Now his music continues to reign supreme as NE-YO launches his sophomore single “FOREVER NOW” culled from his new album, R.E.D. (Realizing Every Dream)

With 90,000 units on its first week on the UK sales, the carrier track “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)”, NE-YO’s overall 5th #1 UK single, marks his first #1 UK hit as a Motown artist, since his move from Def Jam to Motown in January. It also marks NE-YO’s biggest #1 UK sales week and is Motown’s first #1 UK hit in 20 years, since Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road” in 1992.

The success of “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)” is underscored by the fact that NE-YO is not only an artist on the newly revitalized Motown Records, but also serves as the label’s Senior Vice President of A&R. In that post, he works closely alongside Barry Weiss, Chairman and CEO of Universal Republic and Island Def Jam Motown, and Ethiopia Habtemariam, Senior Vice President of Motown Records.

R.E.D. is NE-YO’s first album for Motown after seven hugely successful years and four RIAA gold and platinum albums as a core member of IDJ since 2005. NE-YO has seen over 8 million albums and 23 million singles sold worldwide. In the U.S., his first three albums are all nearing RIAA double platinum for sales in excess of 2 million copies each; and he has amassed five platinum and one RIAA gold single. NE-YO’s arrival at Motown in 2012 caps an incredible run at sister label Def Jam, where his first three studio albums all debuted at #1 Soundscan and were all certified RIAA platinum: In My Own Words (2006), Because Of You (Grammy Award®-winning Best Contemporary R&B Album for 2007), and Year Of The Gentleman (2008). Year Of The Gentleman spun off a trio of RIAA platinum hits: “Closer” (#1 U.S. Dance, #1 UK), “Miss Independent” (#1 U.S. R&B, #1 UK R&B), and “Mad” (#5 U.S. R&B, #3 UK R&B). “Miss Independent” went on to win Grammy Awards® for Best R&B Song (songwriters award) and Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.

NE-YO’s brand new album “R.E.D.” is out now in CDs exclusively under MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines), available at Astroplus and Odyssey Music & Video. His new single "Forever Now" will soon dominate our local radio and MYX Hit Charts. The song was recently released as the second international single and fourth overall single from the album. The song was written by Shaffer Smith, Allen Arthur, Clayton Reilly, Keith Justice, Mikkel S. Eriksen, Tor E. Hermansen, Paul Baumer, Maarten Hoogstraten and produced by StarGate, Bingo Players, Phatboiz. Meanwhile, NE-YO’s first single “Let Me Love You (Until You Love Yourself)” is still available for digital download at iTunes and
