Vote Solidly, Vote VIGAN for the New 7 Wonders Cities

If you have been aware, the last time that the New Seven Wonders of the World searched for seven new wonders in nature category the Philippines very own Puerto Princesa Underground River in Palawan made it to the top. With the prestige of the Puerto Princesa Underground River, tourist arrivals went high up and the province of Palawan became one of the top global destinations.

This time another part of the country is on the list of the top 28 of the New Seven Wonders of the World cities category and that city is VIGAN. Yes one of the cities in the north has made it and is now competing with the other twenty seven (27) cities in the world. Out of One Thousand Two Hundred (1,200) cities in the world, the City of Vigan emerged as the lone nominee of the Philippines. We’re making another mark in the world history and with this Kwento Ni Toto plea to support the call to place Vigan on the list of the New 7 Wonders Cities.

Vigan is a small city in the north in the province of Ilocos Sur, Philippines. It is the capital city which is located on the Western coast of the island of Luzon, facing the West Philippine Sea. The city maybe small but it is rich in culture and living heritage. The Vigan Ancestral Houses is the living proof. It already withstands the test of time and it was in 1999 when UNESCO inscribed the city as a World Heritage Site. It is one of the few preserved Hispanic towns in the Philippines where its structures remained intact, even the cobblestone streets and architectures.

 Aside from the architectural designs and structures, Vigan is also well known for their yummy and delicious foods like the Vigan Longganisa and the Bagnet which is great to much up for vegetables.  There were also other products that would definitely entice your palate like the Mikilunggay Noodles, the Vigan Chocolate or the tablea, Masa Podrida, and the Chichacorn.
