Loss of Great Actors in the Movie Industry, Local and International

"What's with the month of January?" This is what I have read in one of my social media accounts. It is a vague statement but you'll definitely know what it means because of the photos above it and of course the news around the world wide web and what's more interesting to know is that it's not only on local news but in international news as well. It seems that January is a month of great losses for the movie industry as most of its great actors passed away and met their creator.


One recent loss for the Filipino movie industry is the very well known and well loved actor who have started from scratch and shared the limelight of being a star to other deserving actors and actresses, German Moreno or commonly known as Kuya Germs. He passed away last January 8, 2016 at the age of 83.

While on the other side of the globe, the recent one was perhaps well known for his portrayal of Professor Severus Snape, one of the characters in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter, Alan Rickman.  Passed away last January 14, 2016.

The world of film wouldn't be as it is now without these fine actors who've shed their talents and make the stars of the movie industry shine brightly. They are all be missed, their mortal bodies might have gone to the ground but their spirit lives on through the movies they have made. Rest in peace.
