Most of the displayed artworks were created by different artists in various forms of medias. There were paintings on scrolls, of which the paper used is called rice paper. Also displayed are paintings on fans and lanterns. Another were the porcelain plates, which was glazed and baked in order to preserve the original color of the paints. All of the artworks displayed were mostly showcasing themes about nature, flowers, mountains, plants and animals.
The displayed exhibit were colorful and vibrant that no passersby will not make a second look at it. These are works of art that reaches through the inner self of an onlooker. Giving a piece of mystery on every image and stroke of a brush. To artist, their masterpiece is the reflection of themselves and every painting that are displayed provides a mystery and a story behind its creation. And that's what the Chan Lim Family of Artists and Students did last January 29. Not their usual practice but the artists stayed with their artworks for the first time to explain and give bits of stories behind every brush strokes. One of the siblings, Dr. Alex Chan Lim lead the walk tour of the exhibit.
