From North To South, Timezone Brings the Fun to SM Southmall and SM North The Block

9:28:00 AM

From North to South, there's always a place for you to enjoy, relax, unwind, and have fun. For me, as a Gen X who have witnessed and enjoyed the fun in arcades, it has always been my sanctuary. A place where I'm happy at!

For arcade goers in the North and the South, will definitely find their inner kid, as Timezone Philippines continues its legacy of fun and excitement with the opening of its latest venues at SM Southmall in Las Piñas and at The Block in SM North EDSA, Quezon City. For nearly three decades since 1998, Filipinos have associated Timezone with fun activities, exciting rides, and innovative entertainment experiences. This still rings true for many people who have grown up playing at Timezone and have enjoyed great times with family and friends in its numerous venues.

Indeed, the fun never stops as Timezone Philippines opened two more venues, providing denizens of the southern suburbs and residents of the northern urban scene a place to play, party, and relax to their hearts' content.

Got the opportunity to visit Timezone in SM Southmall and experience what they offer during their grand opening.  This is Timezone Philippines’ sixth venue with SM Supermalls. Timezone in SM Southmall, is in a prime position on the third floor of the mall, within close proximity to the cinemas and the Cyberzone for digital gadgets. At Timezone SM Southmall, guests can indulge in a 1,195 square meter playground filled with over 100 games spanning various genres. From the thrilling racing attraction Asphalt 9DX to VR Sailor Quest, there’s something for everyone. As for me, I love the games where I collect tickets for future prizes that I can redeem. Additionally, there is Social Bowling, Slam ‘N’ Jam Ultra, and the iconic Spinzone bumper car attraction, offering a diverse range of entertainment options. The venue also has a spacious party room for hosting gatherings of up to 50 participants. Don’t forget to visit the prize shop, where guests can trade their tickets in for different toys and other fun items! On March 22 until April 5, guests can purchase P500 and receive P1000 Powerload by using the code SOUTHM exclusively on the Timezone Fun App.

Meanwhile, guests on the northern end of the metropolis have a new entertainment option with the opening of Timezone’s seventh SM Supermalls venue - Timezone SM North EDSA The Block, which welcomed guests through its doors in December of last year.

Spanning approximately 900 square meters, Timezone SM North EDSA features popular games and unique attractions like Panther Revolution Photobooth system and NBA Hoops.

With venues across the metro, including SM Aura, SM Mall of Asia, and SM Megamall, as well as a provincial location at SM Rosales in Pangasinan, Timezone continues to be the go-to destination for fun and games. Stay tuned for more exciting developments as the fun never stops with Timezone!

Get to know what's inside the Secret Christmas Garden of SM Southmall

7:36:00 AM

When was the last time I visit SM Southmall during the holidays? Well, that was before the pandemic. What I usually admires with this SM Supermall in the south is their centerpiece. They always incorporate the raindeers in it. As for this year's piece I was lucky enough to find their photos and of course with their press release of activities. So, here's the word about this year's events in SM Southmall.

The holidays are here once again and there’s no better place to celebrate it than right at every Southies’ second home. SM Southmall is known for their larger-than-life, picturesque Christmas centerpieces that are perfect backgrounds to our holiday photos. This year however, SM Southmall unveiled their first ever experiential Christmas centerpiece!

Abundant trees in varying sizes surround the whole display with a pathway leading to and unveiling the mystery of a secret garden. At the heart of the centerpiece is a 35-feet towering Christmas tree adorned with blooms and thousands of sparkling lights with giant elegant reindeers around it. Be transported to a Secret Christmas Garden at the mall’s Food Street Concourse.

There’s a lot more in store!

SM Southmall wants to bring back the joy of shoppers through fun and ‘southtacular’ activities you may safely enjoy (even with your kids)! Here are four ways you can fully enjoy Christmas with SM Southmall:

The South Pole Express. Another first for the mall is their Christmas drive-thru experience with immersive displays and interactive moments that families can enjoy in the safety and comfort of their cars. Let us all aboard The South Pole Express starting December 1st!

South Yuletide Markets. The Christmas bazaar will have a display of different knickknacks and gifts you can take home to the family. The South Yuletide Markets are there for the holidays so check them out at the Event Center and South Yard (near Door 4).

Santa’s Here! The pandemic cannot stop Santa Claus from visiting SM Southmall. He will be at the Door 4 driveway to bring the Christmas cheer to as many Southies as possible! Drive thru with your kids on December 24 – 25 and say hi!

The Big South Sale is also something to look forward to on November 19 – 21. Up to 70% off on festive finds! Check out some last-minute Christmas gifts for your family without the long wait and shipping fees! Get a chance to drive home in a brand-new MG ZS Compact SUV with every P3,000 single or accumulated receipts from any SM Southmall store.

Spread the spirit of giving this Christmas and purchase a pair of Bears of Joy. Customers get to keep one bear and the other one will be donated to the kids of SOS Children’s Villages. Just drop by the Bears of Joy booth at the Food Street Concourse and purchase a pair for only P250 until December 25.

Christmas may be celebrated differently this year but its spirit is still the same! Stay up-to-date on all the holiday fun and events happening down South! Visit @smsouthmall on Facebook and Instagram for more information. #SeeYouDownSouth

The Tale of the Winter Forest, SM Southmall's Christmas Piece

5:09:00 AM

One of the most awaited season for us Filipinos is Christmas. It is believed that we, Filipinos, celebrate Christmas the longest and to attest to that some people decorates their houses as early as September. As soon as the cold breeze of the northern winds is felt at our tropical country or at the beginning of the "BER" months. But whatever date we start to celebrate Christmas is the season for everyone to be merry and one of the places that brings joy is the mall. For sure everyone gets merrier whenever they see Christmas designs and decorations at the mall.
