TV 5's Beki Boxer Airs Tonight

There's going to be a great competition of teleseryes these days.  Kwento Ni Toto shares one inspiring teleserye from TV5, the Beki Boxer.  Attended to this Beki Boxer Blog Conference was my ever reliable correspondent Justin, who happens to be a beki as well.  He enjoyed the conference and of course he as one was inspired by this teleserye and shares that it's a good teleserye that inspires other beki to push through with what they want to do.  The Beki Boxer airs tonight at 7 PM at the Kapatid Network TV5.

Oops this is not Alwyn Uytingco but
Kwento Ni Toto correspondent, Justin

Playing the title role is versatile Kapatid actor Alwyn Uytingco, who gets the biggest break in his career with this action-packed but heart warming comedy series.  According to Alwyn, the gay role started in the movie Tanging Ina then it followed with some series of gay roles.  According to Alwyn portraying as gay act as a guy is hard, "Mahirap ang pag portray ko dito as a Gay, I need to pretend to be a man but deep inside I am a Gay, while on my other gay role, I am just a Gay", Alwyn said.
The story of Rocky Ponciano (Alwyn Uytingco) is about a young man who is naturally gifted with boxing prowess.  When Rocky's father Max (Christian Vasquez), a former boxing champion, lost his crucial fight that eventually doomed his career and tainted his reputation for life, it has become Rocky's ultimate goal to become a world-class boxer to bring back the lost glory of his family. However, Rocky is not your ordinary boxer. While his killer punches can knock down any opponent, he knows deep inside his heart that the king of the ring...is a queen.

Joining Alwyn to give life to Beki Boxer’s endearing characters are Christian Vasquez as Max, his boxing champion-father; Candy Pangilinan as Consuelo, a loving wife and mother to Rocky and Max; Cholo Barreto as Elorde, Rocky’s homophobic brother. John Regala as the antagonist Coach Dalmacio; Claire Hartell as Venus, Kristel Moreno as Jessa, Danita Paner as Chloe and

Onyok Velasco as Ninong Onyok; his godfather/boxing coach

Joross Gamboa as Madonna, his gay friend/confidant

Vin Abrenica as Atong, Rocky’s co-boxer / love interest.

Beki Boxer premieres today, March 31, 7PM, replacing Let's Ask Pilipinas on TV5.
