Start of the weekend and I'm making my way to one of my unusual route after college, Robinsons Magnolia. I was invited to witness the opening of the store and try this newest craze in town, the sponge cake. The store that is going to open in this side of the metro is the traditional homemade egg sponge cake brand, Ah Mah, which begun in Malaysia. Later on it reached Singapore and became the biggest brand fueling the cake craze in the country. From there it expanded to China, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, and now here in the Philippines.
So what does "Ah Mah" means? Well, it is a term for grandmother in different Chinese dialects.
Now that these "Ah Mah" brand of sponge cake is here in the Philippines, it will surely bring the delight to every Filipino and we will highly get five different variants to enjoy: the Original, Cheese, Chocolate, Ube, and Pandan. All are definitely flavorful and for the Ube it is the only flavor that is custom-made specifically for the Philippine market using the high quality local ube halaya which is a must-try!
Ah Mah got a special treat to all her customers and to entice them to keep coming back. All customers who will purchase until August will be welcomed into the Ah Mah Cake Club. All members will get a card with exclusive benefits to feel the love of Ah Mah like a surprise gift when they purchase their third sponge cake and a FREE Original Flavored Egg Sponge Cake after their 10th cake purchase.
