PJMA's MADWORLD 2024 a Phenomenal Success

The largest national convention for business and marketing students, MADWORLD 2024: Experience in Motion of the Philippine Junior Marketing Association (PJMA), was a phenomenal success, witnessed by thousands of Marketistas all over the Philippines last May 30, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.


 

About MADWORLD 2024: Experience in Motion

Experiential marketing continues to echo in the campaigns of top-performing brand storytellers nowadays, where advertising deviates from just mere static presentations and logo placements, but also champions on striving to build a community that is entertained, enabling them to be part of advocacies that drive meaningful change, and evoking feelings that taps the market resonating from within.

Opening the convention of the year with his insights on how to immerse in the moment was Mr. Jos Ortega, Chairman and CEO of Havas Ortega.

 

“Create a meaningful difference to brands, to businesses and to the lives of speakers,” Ortega shared.

While it could be argued that marketing and advertising are all about generating long-term sales and brand loyalty, MADWORLD redefines this concept every year by immersing aspiring marketers in the value of brand storytelling that fosters a harmonious community.




 

Every convention of the year talks about different marketing trends that emerge, and the motion this year was all about experiential marketing led by the insights of Havas Ortega, Spotify Philippines, L’Oreal Philippines, and Maya Philippines.

 



As the federation re-opens the world of marketing and advertising topics at PJMA’s annual flagship event, it has immersed emerging marketers in an unforgettable motion, a voyage towards unwavering brand loyalty and marketing mastery to guide them into achieving effective consumer relationship building that sets the stage for new exciting trends to unfold.

Speaker Highlights

For Chief Digital Officer of Havas Ortega, Ms. Shayne Madamba, she expressed how, “Entertainment is the feeling of being asked, consulted. It is about being alive, and being in it.”

Her talk delved enlightened on "Enthralling Entertainment," decoding how brands connect in the digital sphere.



Spotify Philippines joins the motion with their Senior Client Partner, Ms. Kit Ramos-Disini, by sharing how to tap the market within to leverage the power of marketing with emotions to make marketing campaigns resonate with the consumer.

“Advertising goes a long way. You need to add value to your brand to be more relatable to your customers,”Ms. Kit Ramos-Disini shared. uncovered "Tapping the Market Within," leveraging internal resources for effective market engagement.

Meanwhile, the coliseum also beared witness to a discussion on the beauty that moves the world with L’Oreal Philippines’ Country Managing Director, Ms. Yannick Raynaud, on the forefront of speaking about the importance of long-term partnerships and connections that drive meaningful change.

“You can be the way of empowerment in the digital age. Share stories through your campaign to empower everyone because you can combine meaningful content and business at the end of the day,” Raynaud stated. Mr. Pepe Torres articulated "Integrating Through Entertainment," as a means of transforming minds into loyal consumers. “It’s hard to maintain people’s attention in 15 seconds. Brands must be entertaining. To be entertaining, you need to be different,” Torres mentions.

 

Celebrity and Influencer Panel Discussion

Ms. Dayniel Garcia, Head of Influencer Marketing of SWAY by HAVAS RED also immersed Marketistas in the much-awaited panel discussion from Mr. Patt Soyao, Chief Strategy Officer of Shoppertainment Live, Inc., and fan-favorite, Actor and Restaurateur, Mr. Marvin Augustin of Secret Kitchen & COCHI A Feast of Filipino Flavors.

Attendees experienced the motion of the industry with the entertaining success stories behind these personalities. Gifts were handed out and many enjoyed the company of their guest appearance.

 

Kenaniah on the MADWORLD Stage

The motion wouldn’t be complete without Rising OPM Singer-Songwriter serenading the Smart Araneta Coliseum with his song, “Bahala Na” and many more. In an insider interview with him, he stated, “Thank you, Marketistas for having me! I look forward to more events with all of you.”

Looking Ahead

PJMA Executive Vice President, Mr. Franco Gabriele Delatina closes the event by expressing his sentiments on behalf of the 37th National Executive Board.

“The connections we've made, the knowledge we've shared, and the experiences we've had are invaluable assets that will drive us forward,” Delatina adds.


 
Let the motion of today’s generation not stop this MADWORLD, but a movement that continues to empower advocacies and tell stories of communities that foster positive change.

JUAN BIG IDEA NATIONWIDE 2024 Weaving Collective Intelligence

Last March 23, 2024, Philippine Junior Marketing Association unveiled a colorful tapestry of marketing advancement with this year’s Juan Big Idea Nationwide, woven with the theme “Weaving Collective Intelligence,” at the Monet Grand Ballroom, Novotel Manila, Araneta City, and livestreamed via EventsHub.

Juan Big Idea, also known as JBI, annually serves as a prestigious national-scale student conference dedicated to the federation’s mission to serve its member schools from each of the farthest regions in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao as it hopes that not only students from the National Capital Region (NCR) would benefit from PJMA’s opportunities, but also those from the provinces.




 
This year, young marketers from all over the country gathered for a homecoming, an edition of JBI established as Juan Big Idea Nationwide celebrating the insights of the new decade, with over 706 onsite attendees and 5,996 virtual attendees.

Focused on 2024's theme of collective intelligence, JBI features industry leaders who bridge collaboration with artificial intelligence such as CEO Archie Carrasco of AGC Power Holdings Corporation, discussing the importance of organizations aligning goals and values to drive innovation. COO Orly Ballesteros, CPM-Asia of EX-Link Management and Marketing Services Corporation explores how diverse ideas can lead to new market research opportunities and original concepts. Country Director of GreatWork Global, Ms. AJ Rocero, advocates for a caring culture to enhance a team's diverse skill sets.




 
As the night approaches, the lively event was serenaded with the melodious symphony of fan-favorite, OPM Band, Sugarcane.

Attendees were treated to a variety of career opportunities, enjoying job fair offerings from industry titans like Ellana Mineral Cosmetics, FOPM Property Management, Unilever, FWD Insurance, AGC Power Holdings Corporation, and Virtual Wonders.

PJMA’s Vice President for Chapters, Mr. Xyrill Baltazar links the closing remarks, “No matter where you came from, from what region you are, or what language or dialect you speak, we are one because we are a Juan.”

Cracking the Code of Collective Intelligence at PJMA’s Juan Big Idea Nationwide 2024

Philippine Junior Marketing Association’s Juan Big Idea Nationwide is back on the national scene with the theme, “Weaving Collective Intelligence,” this coming March 23, 2024 at the Monet Grand Ballroom, Novotel Manila, Araneta City, and live streaming via EventsHub.

Annually, Juan Big Idea, also known as JBI, is conducted as an academic-oriented initiative that gathers all business students from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao as the federation strives to empower them towards being updated on the latest practices in the corporate world.
 
This year, PJMA is working with veteran marketing professionals to discuss the latest digital advancements topics ranging from crowdsourcing to analyzing mass amounts of data, transforming threads into trends in algorithms, along with tailoring a positive corporate culture for employees.
