If you had seen flipping cracker stunts gone viral on Instagram, well then you’ve just witnessed Hansel Crackers’ recently concluded promo contest called the Hansel Cracker Catch or HCC. The contest was created to give exotic and adventurous new way of enjoying your crackers. Kwento Ni Toto did catch the flipping stunts of crackers made by entrants of the promo with Gelli Victor as host of the program together with a unique set up of the venue, dancers flipped and showcased their stunts to onlookers and mall goers.
The event was held at the Activity Center of Market! Market! last October 11, 2014. It was an eventful Saturday with a puzzled look from people going by that area. Nobody knows what’s going to happen and that’s the suspense of it. It’s a mystery for mall goers which intrigue them to wait and catch what’s going to happen.
After a flipping exhibition of dancers, it was time to recognize the finalist of the Hansel Cracker Catch and later on hail the top winner of the contest. Judge with one requirement and three (3) criteria, first is Use of Product which is their ticket to enter the contest, second was the Creativity with 40%, third was the Originality with 40% as well, and lastly was Difficulty with 20%. Among the 15-sec videos submitted one did rise above all with their creativity and originality, Kariz Anne Dumangsang won the Grand Prize with her #CrackerCatchin entry “Rube Goldberg Machine.”
The promo did run from September 10 to September 30, 2014. Different styles, different ways and different gimmicks were made for that adventurous flipping fun way of sharing a pack of Hansel Crackers. If you want to try and create one of yours you might want to check out the video below. Who knows they might have another round of this contest next year so better get practicing.
