Toto Experience The Basics of Chinese Painting

One of the perks of being a blogger is you get to experience things first hand and I did. Though I'm into painting and done some of my own works, still, the craft of Chinese Painting is different from the Western Style of Painting. I'm not a pro on any but I like what I experienced.

As to what I have learned from one of the students of the Chan Lim Family of Artists and Students the hold of the brush is different from the usual hold of a pen. It is always straight pointing down and if I may recall it correctly two fingers up and two fingers down. And another important thing is that you don't apply another coat of color. What is done is done so better have a good stroke to have a nice image of your painting.

So if you want to know what happens during the session watch this video.

More practice for me and perhaps more learning is needed. Till next first hand experience.
