Reflecting on her long journey in the industry, Padilla couldn't help but feel nostalgic while performing at the Dolphy Theater, named after her late partner, comedy legend Dolphy. “It brings back so many memories. Performing here feels like he’s still watching over me,” she shared, her voice tinged with emotion.
Excited to perform tracks from her latest album, Padilla revealed that fans can expect familiar hits with fresh arrangements. “You will hear a lot of my hit songs. Para maging kakaiba siya, may mga rearrangements na mangyayari. I’m also introducing to my audience the new sound,” she shared.
The new album features eight tracks, including previously released songs such as 'Pag Tinadhana, Kabiyak, and Never Be Alone. The latter, a special Mother’s Day release, is a heartfelt collaboration with her daughter, Zia Quizon. The song touches on a mother’s feelings of nostalgia for the days when her children were young while appreciating the strong bond they share as adults.
“I wanted something that talks about empty nesting because that’s what I am going through right now,” Padilla, a mainstay on ASAP, explained.
Other songs from the album include Hinihiling, Memoryado, Bakit Ba, Ingat Ka, Mahal Kita, and a remix of 'Pag Tinadhana.
Padilla’s Through The Years concert will also feature special guests, including Erik Santos, Karylle, Zia, and Gary Valenciano.
The 'Pag Tinadhana album will be available on various streaming platforms this Friday (May 16). For more information, follow Star Music on Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
