5 Characters of ABAY BABES

10:43:00 PM

Sexy, beautiful and alluring actresses ensembles the casts of ABAY BABES. This is VIVA Films' latest offering to movie goers this September. It's time to feast your eyes as the movie brings together Cristine Reyes, Kylie Verzosa, Nathalie Hart, Meg Imperial, and Roxanne Barcelo, who are all oozing with sexiness and pizzazz. Discover these 5 characters of ABAY Babes.

Along with the visual treat is a story that has a right mix of fun and intrigue to captivate all audiences.

Many years after high school, Emerald, Ruby, Perla, and Goldie (considered the Bicol “It Girls” of their batch) are reunited for the latter’s upcoming wedding. Joining them is Jade, Goldie’s friend from America. Everyone is excited about this get-together, but somehow, Goldie’s friends are finding it hard to believe that she is going to be the first to fulfill their dream of getting married, considering that she is the least attractive among them.

Emerald, Ruby and Perla secretly joke that Goldie might just be making this all up. And when they can’t see any videos or pictures of the groom, Zack, the three start to take their joke seriously. As if their skepticism is not enough, their past issues against one another are also reopened. At a time when friendship and love are supposed to be celebrated, will doubt and rivalry get the better of them?

Playing the role of Emerald is Nathalie Hart who entered showbiz in 2008 through ABS-CBN’s Star Magic. In May 2018, she was the cover of the final print issue of FHM. Emerald has the alias “Bicol Express” because, according to her, she is the hottest among her friends. She works as a commercial model.

Ruby, the class topnotcher back in high school and is now a doctor, is played by Cristine Reyes. She is called “Pili Nuts” because, ultimately, guys would choose her beauty over all others. (Pili is the Tagalog for choose.) Cristine shared in an interview that she enjoyed jamming with the girls between takes. Her last film was a family drama, making this comedy film really fun to do.

Perla, who is called “Mt. Mayon” because of its perfect shape, just like her figure, is played by Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa. She has appeared in the movies “Ang Panday” and “Kasal”, but this is her first leading role. “I have this desire to be really good at something,” Kylie once said in an interview. “I want to be good at acting, not being an artista.”

Goldie, the class clown in the movie, is played by Roxanne Barcelo who is also the funniest one in the cast. Goldie is given the moniker, “Abaca” (fiber, in English), because she is the toughest of them all. In real life, Roxanne has both the toughness and the talents (like singing and hosting) that are necessary to last in the world of show business.

Jade, the videographer who will document the girls’ road trip to the wedding venue, is played by Meg Imperial. A recent IG post of Meg is captioned “Once you become fearless, life becomes limitless.” Indeed, Meg’s career is flourishing because she is open to doing different roles.

ABAY BABES also stars Tom Rodriguez, Marco Gumabao, Mark Bautista, Candy Pangilinan and many more. Directed by Don Cuaresma, the movie will open on September 19 in cinemas nationwide. From VIVA Films.

5 Things to Prepare for an Out of Town Conferences

6:20:00 PM

Getting ready and getting excited, perhaps that's what most people feel whenever there's an out of town activity of the company. For Filipino workers, it is always a chance to get out of the office and leave the papers on the desk. Not only that it’s a getaway from our work routine in the office but it is a chance for you to explore, learn, network and enjoy the company of workers in the same industry. No paper works to hunt you for a while, only learning and development, but of course don’t forget the leisure part.

There are things that should be considered when attending an out of town conferences. This will not only keep you organized bu will let you enjoy the benefits of being out of the office. It will also help you in managing your time, resources and schedule. Time should be allotted on this because out of town conferences are not just a ride away from home but sometimes it is a fly away from home. So, if you forgot something it will only ruined opportunity and your fun time afterwards.

To escape the horror of forgetting things for the conferences here are some things to remember in preparing for an out of town conference.

  1. Be sure that you are fully registered in the conference. This will keep you away from the hassle of missing your name on the conference itself. If there are required documents to bring like the print out of the registration, IDs or passport, make sure to prepare and secure them.
  2. Make sure to book your hotel accommodations ahead of time. Prefer hotels that are nearer to the conference venue. Much better if it is within the venue itself but of course if you or your company is trying to cut expenses it would be better to have the average hotels with almost the same amenities and services.
  3. Budget or pocket money is one of the must have and should also be prepared ahead of time. Out of town means expenses. Even though registration fees, accommodations, and some other expenses are shouldered by your company, still, you need to have your own budget to spend for pasalubong and other souvenir gift items. Make sure to save up before the conference date.
  4. Bring the right amount of clothing and appropriate dress for the conference. You don’t have to exhaust yourself in carrying more luggage. Essentials and personals should be considered. For the ladies it’s your privilege.
  5. Gadgets to capture the moment and for your documentation. It is always great to have photos in every conference that you attended, it’s more of a remembering the experience and jotting down the learning.

All these are just suggestions to prepare you for that out of town conference getaway. Just like this coming October 10 to 12, 2018 the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) will be having its 55th Annual Conference at the ASEAN Convention, Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ), Clarkfield, Pampanga. In case you have not registered yet just head on to www.pmap.org.ph and sign up.

Movie Review: Along With The Gods: The Last 49 Days

10:40:00 PM

"There are no bad people, only bad circumstances" this is perhaps one of the lines that I find interesting in the movie and it is true in my own opinion. People are created good and the only thing that made them bad is the circumstances that are laid to them. They may choose the right decision or the wrong ones, depending on the situation.

"Along With The Gods" is a Korean fantasy action movie that is directed by Kim Yong-hwa based on a webtoon created by Joo Ho-min. Accordingly, the movie "Along With The Gods" is shot as one but was presented in two parts that made the second one a sequel. Just like the movie Lord of the Rings which they filmed the entire trilogy at once and presented it separately. For the "Along With The Gods", The Two Worlds  was the first and the second was the recent The Last 49 Days.

It's really hard to review movies that are in parts because in my case I have not watched the first part which makes me clueless of what was everything is all about. But of course a good movie will always give you a good insight if it is presented beautifully and vividly.

In this film "Along With Gods: The Last 49 Days" revealed an interesting truth about the characters' past. Before they became guardians, they were humans. This delivers an interesting twist in the story.

If they assist 49 souls get their reincarnations in a millennium, the three Afterlife Guardians Gang-lim (HA Jung-woo), Hewonmak (JU Ji-hoon), and Deok-choon (KIM Hyang-gi) were promised to get their own reincarnations by the king of Afterlife, Yeomra (LEE Jung-jae). The 3 Guardians choose Su-hong (KIM Dong-wook) as their candidate, but doubts were cast on their candidate, since he wreaked havoc in the Living World by turning into a vengeful spirit.

In exchange for Su-hong’s fair trial, Yeomra tasks the 3 guardians to ascend an old man from the Living World who has surpassed his allotted lifespan. While on the mission, they encountered a rogue god known as Household God (Don LEE) who was protecting the old man and his grandson from the Afterlife Guardians.

Eventually, Hewonmak and Deok-choon discover that the Household God was the Afterlife Guardian who ascended the two of them a millennium ago. To get back their memories of their previous lives, they begin helping the Household God. Can they handle what they will discover from their previous lives? And how will it affect Su-hong’s trial?

According to Director KIM Yong-hwa, in The Two Worlds, they focused into building a believable world in order to focus more on character building and the relationships between them in THE LAST 49 DAYS. Another thing to look forward to in the movie is its CG effects and amazing production designs that make the worlds in the movie look more real.

It is indeed look real and with the effects and CGIs I find it realistic.

Of course it is really hard to watch and read the translations but it was, still manageable to see right thru the movie.

I really enjoyed the movie!

Watch the Korean fantasy film that is set to make another blockbuster history! ALONG WITH THE GODS: THE LAST 49 DAYS will open in theaters nationwide on September 5. From VIVA International Pictures & MVP Entertainment.
