Century Tuna Superbods Launches the ‘Superbod Era’ With Purpose and Fitness

8/15/2026 02:33:00 PM

The next chapter of Century Tuna Superbods is here, and this time, it is about more than having a fit body.

As the competition marks its 20th year, Century Tuna Superbods has entered what it calls the #SuperbodEra, putting the spotlight not only on fitness and healthy living but also on the personal stories, struggles and advocacies of its finalists.

The launch event brought the Top 40 Superbod finalists to center stage as they prepare for the final leg of the competition. But instead of simply showing off their physiques, the finalists shared something more personal, their journeys toward wellness and the causes they believe in.

Century Tuna Brand Ambassador and Superbod Anne Curtis joined the finalists during the event and reflected on how the competition has evolved through the years.

"Having been with Century Tuna for so many years, I've had a front-row seat to how this brand and this platform have grown," said Century Tuna Brand Ambassador Anne Curtis. "What makes Superbods so special is how it brings real human stories to the center stage. Seeing these finalists step up with heart and genuine passion for their health advocacies is truly inspiring for everyone.”

Beyond the physique

This year's campaign looks beyond what people see on stage.

The finalists come from different professions, stages in life, abilities and personal backgrounds. Each carries a different story of overcoming challenges and finding ways to pursue a healthier life.

Their advocacies range from accessible nutrition and mental wellness to physical training, showing that being a Superbod is not simply about having a well-conditioned body.

Since their callback, the finalists have gone through activities, workshops and wellness challenges designed to prepare them for more than the competition itself. They are being positioned as examples of how health and wellness can become part of everyday life.

During the launch, the finalists shared their health and wellness advocacies, turning the spotlight toward the causes that matter to them.

For some, it is about making nutritious choices more accessible. For others, it is about mental wellness, discipline and encouraging people to become more active.

Their stories carry one message: fitness may bring someone to the stage, but purpose gives that journey meaning.

A Superbod for every body

Century Pacific Food Inc. Vice President, General Manager, and Group Business Head Carlo Endaya said the 20th anniversary is an opportunity to make Superbods more inclusive and purposeful.

"Now in its 20th year, Century Tuna Superbods has become a platform for every body where purpose takes center stage," said Mr. Carlo Endaya, Vice President, General Manager, and Group Business Head of Century Pacific Food Inc. "We created this space to show that anyone, at any stage of life, can step into their own Superbod Era. Physical fitness gets you on stage, but our finalists are proving that true transformation is about leading by example and empowering every Filipino to take charge of their wellness journey."

And perhaps that is what makes this year's competition different.

Behind every toned physique is a person with a story — someone who has faced challenges, worked through setbacks and found a reason to keep going.

Century Tuna Superbods uses its platform to bring those stories closer to Filipino audiences, hoping that the experiences of the finalists will encourage others to begin their own wellness journeys, no matter where they are starting from.

The road to the finals

With the grand finals approaching, the competition is expected to become even more intense.

The Male and Female Grand Winners will each receive ₱1 million, while the Runners-Up will receive ₱250,000 each.

But before the winners are announced, the finalists still have one important task: to show that being a Superbod is not simply about looking good.

It is about having the discipline to pursue a healthier life, the courage to share one's story and the purpose to inspire others.

The #SuperbodEra has officially begun.

And this time, the story is not just about the bodies on stage. It is about the people behind them.

Century Tuna Superbods finalists bring stories of resilience, purpose and healthy living to the spotlight

7/17/2026 12:02:00 AM

For many of the men and women who stood under the lights during the Century Tuna Superbods Final Callback, reaching the stage was never simply about showcasing toned physiques. Behind every confident stride was a personal story of discipline, setbacks, second chances, and a commitment to inspire healthier lives.

As Century Tuna Superbods celebrates its 20th year, the country's longest-running fitness competition is redefining what it means to be a "Superbod." This year's finalists represent not only physical strength but also resilience, personal transformation, and advocacies that encourage wellness beyond appearance.

From hundreds of hopefuls across the country, only 40 finalists earned a place in the next stage of the competition. Their journeys, however, reveal that the road to becoming a Superbod began long before they stepped onto the runway.

Some contestants returned after falling short in previous editions, refusing to let disappointment define their goals. Others balanced demanding careers while maintaining rigorous training schedules. Several mothers rebuilt their confidence through fitness after childbirth, while fathers embraced healthier lifestyles not only for themselves but also to become better role models for their children.

Fitness also became a shared family pursuit for some participants. A father and daughter competed side by side, while another family featured a mother joining the competition alongside her two sons, illustrating how healthy habits can strengthen family relationships across generations.

The competition also welcomed individuals from diverse backgrounds, including fitness coaches hoping to extend their influence beyond the gym, celebrities pursuing personal fitness goals outside the entertainment industry, and older participants proving that age does not limit one's ability to embrace an active lifestyle.

For the first time, transgender men also joined the competition, reflecting the broader representation that Century Tuna Superbods has embraced in its latest edition.

Throughout the callback event, contestants were challenged not only to demonstrate physical fitness but also to explain the advocacies that motivate their wellness journeys. During the question-and-answer segment, many spoke about promoting healthier lifestyles, encouraging body confidence, supporting mental wellness, inspiring parents to prioritize self-care, and proving that consistency and discipline can transform lives regardless of age, profession, or background.

The shift highlights how fitness has evolved from being measured solely by physical appearance to becoming a platform for purpose and community influence.

"Every edition, the Superbods competition evolves, but our core mission remains unchanged—to inspire Filipinos to unlock the healthiest, most vibrant versions of themselves," said Carlo Endaya, vice president, general manager and group business head of Century Pacific Food Inc.

"As we stepped into the 'Superbod Era,' we celebrate health as a powerful life stage where passion, dedication, and holistic wellness came together. The incredible energy and stories we witnessed at the Callback prove that the modern Filipino is ready to claim their own healthy era, and we are excited to see our new finalists inspire the nation," Endaya added.

The finalists were evaluated by a panel composed of Century Pacific Food Inc. executives, actress and fitness advocate Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and Century Tuna Superbods grand winners Jules Aquino and Christelle Abello. Aside from their physique and stage presence, contestants were assessed on their communication skills and the advocacies they champion.

Advancing to the finals in the male division are Aaron Maniego, Ameer Ahid, Herschel Verne Sanchez, MJ Ordillano, Arvin Corpuz, Jay Gonzaga, Austin Dizon Cabatana, Nunoy van den Burgh, Jaco Benin, Paul John Galang, Christopher Ian El Jouni, Joselito Florendo, Prince De Guzman, Rafael Cruz Tan, Ken Batino, Dominic Camozzi, Kim Panique, RC Kashyap, Ricardo De Jesus, and Lorenzo Isip.

The female finalists are Alana Maris Montemayor, Janica Reloxe, Maan Marquez, Aleiah Torres, Jarly Verceles, Jasmine Rovelle Paguio, Anna Valencia Lakrini, Ashley Cayuca, Chucel Njigha, Ronalyn Lalimo, Jilliane Robillos, Rovin Mizuse, Diane Querrer, Donnabelle Erno, Kristen Bea H. Chua, Thalia Joaquin, Vienne Luna, Gee Canlas, Lou Yanong, and Gia Gonzales.

Twenty years after its launch, Century Tuna Superbods continues to evolve alongside the changing definition of health and fitness in the Philippines. While sculpted physiques remain part of the competition, this year's finalists demonstrate that becoming a Superbod is equally about perseverance, purpose, and using one's personal story to encourage others to pursue healthier and more meaningful lives.

The Superbod Era Is No Longer Just for the Stage, It's a Lifestyle Anyone Can Live

7/02/2026 12:09:00 AM

From the Runway to the Running Path: Century Tuna's Superbod Era Is Now for Every Filipino

There was a time when hearing the word "Superbod" instantly brought to mind celebrities, fitness competitions, and men and women confidently walking on stage with physiques many of us could only admire. For years, it was a title associated with discipline, determination, and the courage to transform oneself.

But after joining the recent Century Tuna Superbod Life Community Run (of which I wasn't able to run), I realized that the meaning of being a Superbod has grown into something much bigger.

This time, it wasn't about who had the best body or who crossed the finish line first. It was about seeing ordinary Filipinos, from first-time runners to seasoned fitness enthusiasts, sharing the same road, encouraging one another, and proving that living a healthier lifestyle begins with simply showing up.

That, perhaps, is the real "Superbod Era."

More Than a Run, It Was a Community in Motion

The community run served as the official kickoff of Century Tuna's newest initiative, the Superbod Life Community, held in partnership with Megaworld. The event gathered fitness enthusiasts, families, beginners, and longtime runners in one place, creating an atmosphere that felt more like a celebration than a competition.

Adding energy to that afternoon were Atasha Muhlach and Emilio Daez, who didn't just greet participants from the sidelines (even though bouncers are on guard), they joined the run themselves. Their presence reminded everyone that staying active isn't about being famous; it's about making time for your health and inspiring others to do the same.

Also present were several former Century Tuna Superbods winners and participants like Inka Magnaye whom we manage to have a photo with. Seeing them mingle with everyday runners highlighted how the campaign has evolved over the past two decades. While the competition continues to recognize outstanding fitness ambassadors, today's message is much simpler: anyone can begin their own fitness journey.

Twenty Years Later, the Meaning of "Superbod" Has Changed

As Century Tuna celebrates the 20th anniversary of its iconic Superbods campaign, the brand is expanding its mission beyond the stage.

Instead of focusing solely on physical transformation, Century Tuna now encourages Filipinos to confidently embrace their own "Superbod Era", which is a healthier, more active lifestyle that welcomes everyone, regardless of age, experience, or fitness level.

That vision has already inspired thousands.

The launch of the first Superbod Era Strava Challenge attracted more than 58,000 Filipinos, showing that many people are eager to become part of a community that motivates rather than intimidates. It also proved that fitness doesn't have to be a lonely journey. Sometimes, all people need is a supportive group that cheers every small victory.

A Fitness Community That Keeps Things Simple

One thing I appreciated about the Superbod Life Community is that it doesn't expect people to become fitness experts overnight.

Whether you're taking your very first walk around the neighborhood or getting back into exercise after a long break, the community welcomes everyone without pressure.
Z
Its approach revolves around three simple ideas:

  • Move Super encourages members to stay active through practical workouts, expert Q&A sessions, fitness tips, and community meetups.
  • Fuel Super focuses on realistic nutrition, offering easy meal ideas, healthier snack alternatives, and preparation tips that fit even the busiest schedules.
  • Finally, Live Super reminds members that lasting wellness comes from consistent everyday habits rather than chasing perfection.

It's a refreshing reminder that becoming healthier doesn't always require dramatic changes. Sometimes, it starts with one walk, one healthier meal, or one decision to keep going.

Everyone Deserves a Place to Start

Century Tuna believes many Filipinos hesitate to begin their fitness journey simply because they think it is too difficult or only meant for a select few.

Mr. Carlo Endaya, Vice President, General Manager, and Group Business Head of Century Pacific Food Inc., shared the inspiration behind creating the community.

"We realized that many people, especially beginners, hesitate to start their fitness journeys because they often feel like getting into fitness is complicated—like it is something only a few can access and pull off," Endaya said.

He explained that the community was designed to change that perception.

"The Superbod Life community was built to change that perspective. It is a safe space where members can learn and be inspired by peers going on the same journey and from experts who can guide them toward their health goals. At Century Tuna, we truly believe that everyone has the potential to reach their 'Superbod Era'—they just need the right place to start."

For Atasha Muhlach, what makes the movement meaningful is that inspiration comes not only from celebrities but also from ordinary people who continue to show up despite the challenges.

"This community is exactly what Filipinos need in their fitness journey, and I am blessed to be part of something this big," she said.

She added:

"What makes Superbod Life so special is that inspiration doesn't just come from brand ambassadors like us, but from the real-world stories, shared struggles, and genuine experiences of the everyday people you'll meet in the community."

Fueling Every Step of the Journey

A healthy lifestyle doesn't stop after a workout.

Century Tuna also emphasized the importance of proper nutrition by introducing the Century Tuna Super Bowl, a ready-to-eat tuna-and-rice meal packed with protein, Vitamin B3, and Omega-3 DHA for people with busy schedules.

For Emilio Daez, it's a practical option for active individuals.

"I finally have a nutritious meal I can take anywhere to my runs or gym sessions," Daez shared.

He added,

"With the Century Tuna Super Bowl, it's a ready-to-eat meal option that perfectly fits an on-the-go professional schedule. Bonus treat for many Filipinos is that you get all of this for only P29 per can."

The Superbod Journey Continues

Century Tuna also announced the official on-ground casting call for Superbods 2026, giving aspiring fitness ambassadors another opportunity to represent the brand.

But after spending the morning with runners from different walks of life, one thing became clear: the real success of the Superbod movement is no longer measured by perfectly sculpted bodies or championship titles.

It's measured by every person who decides to wake up a little earlier for a jog, choose healthier meals, or simply take better care of themselves.

The Superbod stage may still be there, but the movement has found a much bigger audience beyond it.

And perhaps that's what makes this new chapter special.

In today's Superbod Era, you don't have to be a celebrity, an athlete, or a competition winner to live like a Superbod.

You simply have to take that first step.

Century Tuna’s “Saving Our Seas” Rallies 8,000+ Volunteers Nationwide

9/30/2025 05:56:00 AM

Century Tuna, the country’s top tuna brand, is rolling out the third year of its award-winning “Saving Our Seas” campaign with a stronger push for marine conservation. In 2025, the initiative will expand to six sites nationwide, highlighting efforts to promote a plastic circular economy and protect the country’s coastal ecosystems.

Representatives from Century Pacific Food Inc. (CPFI), HOPE, brand partners, and volunteers join forces for the “Saving Our Seas” International Coastal Cleanup Day activity in Anilao, Batangas, one of six cleanup sites held nationwide.

The campaign gained fresh momentum during the fan meet of brand ambassador Park Seo Joon, where Filipino fans supported the cause by donating plastic bottles. Building on that response, Century Tuna is taking the program nationwide, encouraging community involvement, volunteerism and wider participation in safeguarding the seas and marine life.

To celebrate this year’s International Coastal Cleanup Day, Century Tuna revitalized their campaign initiatives with a more ambitious goal.

Volunteers and divers are working together to safeguard marine life and preserve the oceans.

Started as a single coastal cleanup in Batangas in 2023, it quickly grew into a nationwide movement. This year, the campaign expanded its reach, organizing and supporting coastal cleanup drives across Manila, Batangas, Subic, Davao, Zamboanga, and General Santos City. To cap it off, the campaign attracted over 8,200 volunteers, a significant jump from last year’s 205 volunteers. The volunteers came from various groups such as the local government units, Porto Novo, The Asri, and Pier Uno group of divers, the Philippine Marine Corps, Century Tuna Superbods, employees of Century Pacific Food Inc. (CPFI), and like-minded friends.

Volunteers from Manila, General Santos City, Davao, Batangas, and Zamboanga have united under Century Tuna’s 'Saving Our Seas' campaign.

“Our product comes from the sea, and without healthy oceans, we have nothing,” said Mr. Carlo Endaya, Century Pacific Food Inc.’s Vice President and General Manager of the Branded Tuna Division. “This isn’t just about a one-day cleanup, but about raising awareness and creating something sustainable through Aling Tindera and the plastic circular economy. Each piece of plastic collected can be transformed into livelihood opportunities, while keeping it out of the ocean,” he added.

Mr. Carlo Endaya, Vice President and General Manager of the Branded Tuna Division, CPFI, delivers his message of gratitude and commitment to marine preservation.

The campaign targets a 33% increase in plastic collection this year, powered by Century Tuna’s strength in partnerships. From its roots with HOPE’s Aling Tindera waste-to-cash program, the initiative has expanded to more like-minded organizations and individuals, reinforcing its commitment to the plastic circular economy and marine conservation.

“We are truly thankful because Century Tuna is one of HOPE’s biggest sponsors here. Their support is a huge help to our agri-fishery sector and to the livelihood of our communities. With 29 sites across Mabini, from resorts to local communities, this partnership creates a real impact for our people,” said Ms. Caroline Beloso, Friends of HOPE Inc.’s Field Coordinator in Mabini, Batangas.

In Mabini, Batangas, HOPE’s Aling Tindera representatives came together to clear plastic waste from the coast.

Century Tuna also took part in new partner initiatives, including joining the cleanup activities of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Department of Public Services of the City of Manila, and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA). The campaign also partnered with other brands such as Shakey’s, Vita Coco, Beach Hut, and Peri-Peri to further strengthen the initiative.

CPFI hands over trash bins to fisherfolk in Mabini, Batangas as a symbol of their commitment to protecting marine ecosystems and helping save our seas.

All these combined efforts resulted in collecting 1,386 kilograms of plastic waste, a significant growth from last year’s 357 kilograms of plastic waste.

In just three years, Saving Our Seas has collected over 100 metric tons of waste, growing from one site to six and becoming a nationwide movement. More than a cleanup, this is about building community, creating livelihoods, and working together for a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future. With everyone’s commitment, we are confident this will be our most impactful International Coastal Cleanup yet,” shared Mr. Ray Guinoo, Century Pacific Food Inc.’s Assistant Vice President and Marketing Director for Local Tuna Operations.

Ray Guinoo, Director of Marketing at CPFI, thanks volunteers and reaffirms Century Tuna’s commitment to protecting the seas.

The campaign entered its 3rd year with a huge success, amassing a huge number of volunteers and raising its partnership initiatives. The “Saving Our Seas” campaign is a testament to Century Tuna’s strong commitment to becoming the torchbearer of marine protection in the country.

Launched in 2023, Century Tuna’s “Saving Our Seas” campaign aims to put into the spotlight the problems of plastic pollution in marine biodiversity by reinforcing the idea of Plastic Circular Economy through coastal and reef cleanup activities together with an environmental education program in schools.

Youngest Filipino Male to Summit Mount Everest Returns Home with Century Tuna's Support

7/16/2025 11:12:00 PM

Filipino mountaineer and entrepreneur Jeno Panganiban has returned to the country after etching his name into history as the youngest male Filipino to reach the summit of Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world at 8,849 meters above sea level.

Jeno’s successful ascent is more than just a personal victory, it is a story of transformation, perseverance, and national pride. Powered by grit and proper nutrition from his official partner Century Tuna, Jeno’s feat marks a significant milestone nearly two decades after the first Filipino reached Everest’s summit.

Carrying the Nation to the Top of the World

“When we were approaching the summit, I felt proud and emotional,” Panganiban recalled. “We knew the whole country was watching. And when I raised the Philippine flag at the top of the world, I knew this journey wasn’t just mine, it was for every Filipino who dares to dream.”

For Jeno, the moment wasn’t only about the view or the victory. It was about carrying a nation’s hopes, strength, and resilience to one of the most unforgiving places on Earth.

From Office Cubicle to Everest Peak

Before becoming a national pride, Panganiban lived a quiet life as a software engineer, working a 9-to-5 job. But his dreams stretched far beyond fluorescent lights and keyboards. He eventually built his own business distributing healthy produce to restaurants, allowing him the flexibility to train and pursue mountaineering full-time.

Climbing Everest was not a spur-of-the-moment decision, it was a goal years in the making. “I had to give up a lot,” he said. “But chasing the summit meant becoming someone new, someone stronger.”

Training with Tuna: Fueling the Climb

Jeno’s Everest quest was partnered by Century Tuna, a brand he credits for fueling his training and recovery. His go-to snack? Century Tuna Hot and Spicy with saltine crackers—simple, protein-packed, and a small comfort during grueling training days and extreme climbs.

“You have to be comfortable being uncomfortable,” he said. “That’s how we trained every day. We made sure our bodies and minds were ready for the push.”

The "Fit for Any Role" campaign by Century Tuna aligned perfectly with Jeno’s journey, highlighting how physical fitness, mental toughness, and proper nutrition empower individuals to take on life’s biggest challenges.

Surviving Everest’s Wrath

The road to the summit was far from smooth. Panganiban and his team braved freezing temperatures, shifting glaciers like the Khumbu Icefall, unpredictable avalanches, and dangerously low oxygen levels.

“There were moments I questioned everything,” Jeno admitted. “But I reminded myself why I was there. You don’t conquer the mountain—you conquer yourself.”

At the summit, with the Earth stretched out below him and the Philippine flag in hand, the months of training, sacrifice, and near-death risks felt worth it.

Century Tuna Celebrates a Living Testament of Strength Century Pacific Food, Inc. Executive Vice President and COO Greg Banzon lauded Jeno’s achievement, calling him a true symbol of what it means to be fit for any role.

“Jeno is living proof that through dedication, proper nutrition, and strength of will, anyone can reach their own summit,” Banzon said. “He is an inspiration—not just to athletes—but to all Filipinos navigating their own life challenges.”

Inspiring a Nation

Jeno Panganiban’s Everest climb is more than a record-breaking moment. It is a reminder that Filipinos—no matter how young or unassuming, can rise above limits. With courage in the heart and proper fuel in the body, no summit is too high.

“I want people to realize,” Jeno said, “that their summit may not look like Everest. It could be graduating school, starting a business, or overcoming something personal. But whatever it is, you can do it—with focus, belief, and the right preparation.”

His homecoming is a celebration not just of one man’s victory, but of the human spirit's ability to reach unimaginable heights.
