Tagalized Bollywood Shows on Zee Sine on SKY

We, Filipinos, and Indians are not so different when it comes to culture. From colorful decorations up to family values. Just like us Pinoys they too have close family ties. CBN Asia Celebrates 25th Anniversary at the Big Dome "All for the ONE" with Different Christian Celebrities

It's very rare that the Christian community gathers together and celebrate for the glory of God. This coming October 1, 2019, Tuesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum at exactly 6:00 PM the whole Christian community will rejoice as CBN Asia celebrates its 25th Anniversary with a worship concert dubbed as "All for the ONE". Take note that almost every Christian Celebrities will be there to give their talent. Probably this is the very first time that Christian Celebrities are gathered in one concert to rejoice together with the other Christ believers.


CBN Asia, the producer of The 700 Club Asia and Superbook, will have the celebration with the concert "All for the ONE". Joining the concert on a night of celebrating God's faithfulness are some of the country's top-performing artists such as Ogie Alcasis, Christian Bautista, RJ dela Fuente, Moira Dela Torre, Dulce, Jason Marvin, Jaya, Manoeuvres Ignite, Acel Van Ommen, Papuri Artists, Timmy Pavino, Aicelle Santos, Erik Santos, GeraldSantos, Superbook hosts, Playshop Kids, Upper Room Worship, Gary Valenciano, and Janina Vela.

A Japanese Kwento (Story) Movie Entitled ATHLETE : The Standards of Society in Order To Love Freely

It's another film from one of my fave country when it comes to discipline, robotics, and anime, Japan. So, this is my kwento (story) today, our coverage of the press conference of the movie ATHLETE, which was held at Botejyu in Robinsons Galleria. Present during the media conference were Joe Nakamura who is a Japanese actor known for Bond of Justice: Kizuna and more; Yohdi Kondo who is also a Japanese actor and a YouTuber; and Maria Theresa Gow "Gowchan" who is, by the way, a Filipino Japanese actress and singer known for some OST from Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla and more.

So let us delve not too deep into some of the details about the movie but as according to what I have heard and understood during the press conference. This is a timely movie when we, here in the Philippines are having issues with gender, LBTQ+ issues, the right to be understood, the fight for equality, and the need to be respected. So this is not your usual movie of love and romance but a more complicated form of love that is not the usual scene.

The movie "Athlete" tells about the story of two lost souls who, in the midst of solitude, find peace and comfort in a relationship that most people would consider forbidden. This is not a tale about infidelity or the "right love at the wrong time" but it's a more complex and complicated kind of story that will certainly give you a different perspective about love.


A former swimming athlete who drowns himself after losing his life and loved ones just by a decision from his wife for a divorce. Hopeless and broken, he meets Yutaka, a handsome young man who has big dreams in spite of doing odd jobs.

Being drown from the situation, a deep friendship develops between them and eventually, no matter how much they fight it, Kohei and Yutaka develop more of a romantic feeling towards each other. As their love and affection grow, so do their struggles in making their relationship work for they both fear that their respective families will be put into scandalized by their unconventional setup.

The story wish to convey that the freedom to choose and the courage to accept yourself is a gift. And the movie "Athlete" bravely shows us how to unwrap that gift. It is a movie that honestly reveals what most people would find difficult or terrifying.


The movie stars Joe Nakamura and Japanese actor and singer, Yohdi Kondo. From VIVA International Pictures and MVP Entertainment, "Athlete" will be in cinemas September 25, 2019, exclusively in Robinsons Movieworld.



Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and her son Nate’s New Pinaka-sweet Jollibee Commercial Together, A Must-watch

Mother and son sure enjoy this commercial shoot together. Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid deeply treasures the relationship she has with her son Nate. The mother-son duo’s sweet connection is put front and center in their newest TV commercial for Jollibee.

It is their second commercial together for Jolly Spaghetti, features Regine and Nate’s pinaka-sweet moments as they spend quality time together bonding over the best-tasting (most delicious) Jolly Spaghetti.


 
Their mother-and-son relationship is full of intimate and loving moments, such as those we see in the video. “He's very sweet,” Regine says of Nate. “He really is malambing ever since. He’s always spending time with me, and our favorite bonding moment is watching TV together. He loves that, and he always wants me to watch what he’s watching.”

Regine shares that they still spend a lot of time together even though Nate is already going to school. “When he doesn't have school, we'll just be in bed together,” she says. “He'll be tinkering with his iPad, then we'll watch TV, then we'll buy Jolly Spaghetti and eat.”



This personal side of Regine and Nate is true to life. She shares that long before they did this commercial, they went to a Jollibee and did something like what they did in the ad. “We went to Jollibee, Nate ordered Jolly Spaghetti for us, we ate and took pictures,” she recounted. “It’s the exact scenario.”

Taga-Alog Continues with Its Campaign For Ilog Pasig with a Songwriting for Advocacy

An eye-opener and an immediate call not only to save Ilog Pasig but to save the world, PhilPop, Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA), and National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) have teamed up for this two-day Mini Bootcamp of Taga-Alog, which includes a songwriting workshop that aims to promote Ilog Pasig as a center of cultural narrative and heritage, as well as raise awareness for the rehabilitation efforts of the river through a creative advocacy in music.


This is perhaps one of the clearest languages not only to one's ears but also to the innermost, deep inside the heart. Being part of the observer of the Mini Bootcamp it is a privilege to learn from three of the best songwriters in the country, Noel Cabangon, Trina Belamide, and Jungee Marcelo. I have not only learned the construction of music but also learned some of the processes on how to create and come up with inspiring and moving songs.  Of course, there is also the learnings about the current stage of our environment based on the talks from DENR and Maynilad reps.



So, how did the songwriting went? Well, as mentioned it is advocacy and it is led by the three acclaimed and award-winning songwriters/ professionals in the music industry, Noel Cabangon, Trina Belamide, and Jungee Marcelo. The Mini Bootcamp is joined by upcoming composers and songwriters who have shown immense promise in writing the next big anthem for the environment.

After the success of TampisAwit last year, PETA and NCCA have expanded the mentorship program for budding songwriters and composers by tapping PhilPop to come up with a more comprehensive syllabus that put emphasis on Songwriting for Advocacy.


During the camp activities, coaches gave some short talks about song composition in which participants were very much attentive, as I am also. Right after they were given some activities to test creativity. Then it was followed by a short presentation.

"This time, we're not only imparting techniques to improve their craft," that's according to Taga-Alog Mini Bootcamp 2019 Chairman Noel Cabangon. He also added, "It is also our responsibility to prepare them in the real world, and help them pitch advocacy concepts that are geared toward creative ways to build awareness on various environmental causes. As musicians, we are more than just entertainers; we can change the world with our art."




The two-day songwriting workshop and competition culminated with the performance of the top 5 finalists and the announcement of the top 3songs. The first winner was given a grant for the official recording and promotions during the entire Taga-Alog campaign for 2019.

Tunog Transcom Tayo Year 2 Rocks The Night Away with Music and Talents

One of the big companies running in the Philippines, Transcom Worldwide Philippines, raves their more than 2,000 employees to a night of good Pinoy music. Transcom Worldwide Philippines’ Manila sites gathered at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig City last September 14, 2019 to celebrate camaraderie and togetherness in the second year of the company’s MusicFest dubbed as Tunog Transcom Tayo.


It's a night of more than the booze but of talent and the love for music. These number of employees sung and enjoyed the night. It's not always working, so for this time, it's about having their night off from work and of course the cause.



The event was graced by live performances from various well-loved Filipino musicians and bands such as Ebe Dancel, Mayonnaise, Chiquerella, Sponge Cola, Where’s Ramona, This Band, Ben&Ben, and Aegis.


"As we've been transforming our business in recent years, creating a positive culture where our folks can express themselves has been and continues to be a key focus. Tunog Transcom Tayo, our annual MusicFest, is just one building block in the foundation that is Transcom Tayo and sits alongside our annual CSR activities, our support for the LGBTQ community and our HIV & AIDS awareness campaign in conjunction with The Red Whistle,” said Mark Lyndsell, Transcom’s CEO for the Global English Region.





This is also the second year that a Karaoke-inspired singing contest which Transcom coworkers participate in was incorporated in the music event.



"Our awesome multi-talented coworkers are placed at the heart of Tunog Transcom Tayo and have been auditioning for months as part of our very own Viral Voice competition. Filipinos are known across the globe for their musicality and singing abilities and this is no exception here at Transcom where our finalists will be showing off their talent alongside bands such as Sponge Cola, Ben&Ben, and Aegis,” Lyndsell further shared.
