A good start and some few learnings along the curve as Go For Gold Philippines, a sports corporate social responsibility (CSR) project of Powerball Marketing and Logistics Corporation, the licensee of PCSO for Scratch It, made an attempt to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the Most Number of People Dribbling Basketball Simultaneously.

Covering the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds with enthusiastic people who joined the attempt last July 21, 2019. There are approximately 5000 people joined in the biggest event of the year. We may not break the record but for the Philippines, this is a record to beat. But of course this is just the start of the attempt.

The day isn't just about basketballs but of course some few performances from our fave celebrities to entertain participants of the attempt. Scratch It ambassadors and Indak lead stars Nadine Lustre and Sam Concepcion, together with the whole Indak Pinas crew, Karencitta, John Roa, This Band, ALLMO$T, PNP-PCADG, and Square One gave all-out performances for the huge crowd.

All the participants came home with a kit, containing special freebies, such as an exclusive basketball, official jersey, Go For Gold bag and Scratch It card. The event is brought to you by Go For Gold PH, Scratch It, and SM Mall of Asia.

Jane De Leon Replaces Liza Soberano For the Darna Role

12:13:00 AM

It was over a year ago when we posted about the next actress that will play the Darna role, that was Liza Soberano.  Due to certain circumstances that transpired during the span of time that Liza was doing the preparation and the shooting of the Darna movie, Liza announced her withdrawal from the movie. This was after the severe finger injury that she had.

With that a new race to pick and select the right actress for the role. There are some of have auditioned for it. Some made it comedic like Alex Gonzaga and some where pretty well prepared for the audition like Julia Barretto. There were also recommendations from the netizens like Nadine Lustre, Kathryn Bernardo, and more.

In the end there could be only one and just today it was announced who will be the replacement of Liza as Darna.

As I was browsing from the line up of suggested actresses to fit the role, this pretty lady is out of the list. Not even a clue that she will be picked to be the next to play the Darna role. So, who it was? Well it's Jane De Leon. Who she is? Well, if you've followed the TV Series Halik you'll eventually recognize her as the hot tempered sister of Lino (Jericho Rosales character) when it comes to Jade. Also, Jane has been part of the Girltrends which regularly performs in It's Showtime.

So, what do you think, will she be one of the best fit for the Darna role? Well, let us see and watch!

Nadine Lustre and Sam Concepcion Groove Their Hips With the Dance Movie "INDAK"

7:02:00 AM

INDAK is another Filipino term for dance or rather the right term for groove and perhaps another part of the entertainment industry where Pinoys do excel. Though not as widely recognized in singing, Filipinos also hit the beat when it comes to dancing. Probably, all programs aren't complete without a dance number.

Two of these generation's grooviest actors, the Multimedia Princess, Nadine Lustre fresh from her back to back win as best actress in Famas and Gawad Urian, and Total Performer, Sam Concepcion will bring the beat on the big screen in the most epic Dance Movie of the Year, INDAK.

The movie INDAK tells the story about a simple island girl named Jen which is played by Nadine Lustre, who loves dancing, but never showed her true talent to anyone. Not until a video of her dancing went viral online and Vin portrayed by Sam Concepcion, leader of Indak Pinas invites her to come to Manila and join them. Not confident with her own talent, Jen hesitated to accept Vin’s invitation at first. But Vin finally convinces Jen when he mentioned that their group is going to compete at the World Dance Championship in South Korea, and that her presence in the group will have a great impact.

In Manila, Vin helps out Jen in improving her dancing, as well as adjusting living in the city. The two not only find their groove, but also slowly fall for each other. With the rest of the crew, they must work together to bring out their best performance. But with struggles, dilemmas and past issues getting in the way, can they bring out a performance that will wow the whole world?

Aside from the amazing choreography, INDAK also features great soundtracks like SUMAYAW SA INDAK by Nadine Lustre featuring Pio Balbuena and Shehyee, Sam Concepcion’s soulful version of IKOT-IKOT and Janine Teñoso’s heart-wrenching version of HINDI TAYO PWEDE. Directed by the number one concert director, Paul Alexei Basinillo, INDAK was shot in the beautiful island of Bantayan in Cebu, and scenic South Korea, making the whole movie a feast for the senses.

Dance to the beat of your dreams as INDAK hits cinemas nationwide on August 7.
