LEE DONG WOOK, YOO IN-NA, SET TO “TOUCH YOUR HEART” ON ABS-CBN

1:21:00 PM

Is redemption possible for a celebrity who was mired in a huge scandal that many thought to be a career-ender?

Yoo In-Na and Lee Dong Wook are set to make hearts flutter when their widely-successful romantic-comedy drama “Touch Your Heart” premieres on ABS-CBN this Monday (November 25), replacing “100 Days My Prince” in the Kapamilya Gold timeslot.

Celine Oh (In-Na) is an actress who has fallen from grace after getting caught up in a scandal. She’s trying to get her career back on track and wants to take on a writer’s challenge of interning at a law office to play her part perfectly. Here, she will meet Daryl Kwon (Dong Wook), one of the top lawyers in the firm she has to intern in, and will be his personal secretary.

Daryl is the complete opposite of Celine in that he lives privately and dislikes company unless necessary. However, as the story proceeds, she starts developing feelings for Celine and will have to juggle having to be romantically-linked to a celebrity and all its troubles.

What will happen to Celine and Daryl as their romance blooms alongside their work as boss and secretary?

Meanwhile, “100 Days My Prince” is near its end as Lee Yool, played by EXO star D.O, sets to right the wrongs started by his father and promises to marry Yoon Yi-Seo, played by Nam Ji-Hyun, properly this time and not as the amnesiac Na Won-Deuk they found in the forest.

Will the crown prince be able to back up his promise?

Catch the premiere of one of South Korea’s romance-comedy hits this year, “Touch Your Heart,” as it opens on Monday (November 25), replacing “100 Days My Prince,” which will air its finale this Friday (November 22) after “Sandugo.”

LG’s Home Solutions Brings the Future to your Home

3:51:00 PM

Smart appliances have been in the market for a couple of years now, but have they truly lived up to their name? While TVs, speakers, refrigerators, and other home appliances offer a slew of connectivity options, they have to bring something new to the table, otherwise, it’s just more of the same. LG Philippines wants to let their products do the talking.

LG’s vision of a truly smart home is powered by its proprietary ThinQ AI technology. “LG ThinQ uses knowledge drawn from data analytics and machine learning algorithms to understand the user’s patterns and preferences,” said Inkwun Heo, Managing Director for LG Philippines. “As it adapts and learns from the user’s behavior, LG ThinQ products will ultimately evolve to anticipate the user’s needs and deliver heightened performance.”

All of LG’s newest products have been engineered with the future in mind. Each one is powered by the AI ThinQ technology so that the difference home appliances can communicate with each other to actually offer an indispensable and genuinely helpful system. Artificial Intelligence, however, is but just one feature.

To showcase how the new smart devices seamlessly blend with everyday life, LG commissioned new brand ambassadors who come from different backgrounds, proving without a doubt how these appliances are made for everyone.

Steph Zubiri-Crespi, a long time LG loyalist, boasts how the Twin Wash saves her precious time by being able to do two loads simultaneously. She recounted an instance where the “pause” and “add item” function was a lifesaver. Cristalle Belo-Pitt on the other hand, absolutely adores the LG Instaview Door-in-Door refrigerator. Simply knock twice on the sleek glass panel to illuminate the contents inside without opening the door, reducing cold air loss to help keep food fresher longer. Its modern French door design is an entertainer’s delight with storage options such as the Extra Space compartment for your small or loose items, and a retractable shelf for your taller and oddly-shaped items.

Marco Gumabao raves about the LG Black Two Door Top Freezer he’s been using as it offers a blend of timeless style with the latest innovations, maximum storage space, advanced digital temperature controls, and exclusive LG technology. While Benj Alves on the other hand, is nostalgic about using the LG Black Turbo Wash 3D as he was used to do everything all by himself, laundry included back when he lived in Guam.

LG’s new smart devices are also perfect for families. Dani Barretto-Panlilio loves the Stacking Washer/Dryer Front Load since it makes sure all of her clothes are clean and safe for her newborn baby. “Everything’s really easier with LG. Another thing is thanks to the use of steam, I’m confident that dustmites, bacteria, or allergens will not get to my baby.” LJ Moreno-Alapag has been juggling 3 kids and household duties so the LG Two Door Top Freezer has been a tremendous help. Thanks to the Multi-Air Flow System, superior humidity and temperature levels are maintained, keeping your food fresher, longer. Digital sensors constantly monitor conditions within the refrigerator and strategically-placed vents in every section to help surround your food with cool air no matter where you put it. As far as reliability with Commercial Refs are concerned, funnyman Michael V is all business. To safeguard your investment, all of these refrigerators have a 10-year warranty for its Inverter Linear Compressor and the Smart Inverter Compressor, as well as a 2-year warranty for parts & service courtesy of LG.

Acting as the captain navigating the AI ship is LG’s SmartThinQ App. With the App, you can control all of your electronics and home appliances anytime, anywhere with just a touch of a button. With the widest assortment of wi-fi enabled appliances and one app to manage them all, LG makes managing your smart appliances easy. Thanks to the ThinQ AI technology, the more you use your smart appliances, the smarter they get by remembering usage habits to better anticipate your needs.

What exactly can the App do? For starters, you can do your laundry while you’re stuck in a meeting. SmartThinQ technology lets you start and stop wash cycles remotely, get notifications when your laundry is done and receive helpful reminders about scheduled maintenance. In the peak of summer? Use the LG SmartThinQ app on your smartphone to turn on your air conditioner from anywhere, ensuring you arrive to a cool home.

5 Themed Cafes for that Extra Christmas Get-Together

12:02:00 AM

In just less than a month a lot of people will start to get busy. It's not because of the work but because the season of giving has started already. The time of the year where people enjoy endless festive gatherings and happy reunions with family and friends. Since festivities require a bigger, comfortable and easy access venue, well we did try to locate some interesting hub for you to experience. For this holiday season, we scouted five themed and interesting cafes across the country that will take your Christmas gatherings to another level of cuteness and joy with the convenience of GCash Scan to Pay. Holiday get-togethers, after all, become extra special when spent over good food, good laughs and pleasant memories in a lovely setting.

1. La Petite Parisienne (Le Village E. Rodriguez Sr. Quezon City)
Let your family or friends try a little slice of Paris in the metro by taking them to this wine bar and restaurant, which translates to “little French girl.” The establishment’s main attraction is its wall-to-ceiling wine library, carrying a wide selection of classic and premium French wines. They also serve artisanal cheeses, pastas, and pastries to complement your Parisian dining. If you want to wine al fresco, herd your companions to their Quezon City branch’s rooftop for a more chill and cozy dining experience.

2. Café Xocolat (Katipunan, Quezon City)
The holiday season is the best time to indulge in anything and everything chocolate. Dining here for a simple Christmas reunion with friends or loved-ones will give you an indulging chocolate fix that will keep you warm and cozy throughout the season, thanks also to their comfy and charming interiors. A must-try is their Xocolat pork belly partnered with cacao bagoong sauce and their Chorizo Blanca, a white chocolate-infused pasta dish. Cap the holiday get-together with their popular drink, Taza de Xocolat for a more decadent chocolate experience.

3. Wizardy Cup Café (Lipa City, Batangas)
Pinoy Potterheads don’t need to apparate to the UK or the Universal Studios in Osaka or even to that massive Harry Potter-themed café in Seoul to relive the wizarding world of the Boy Who Lived. Wizardy Cup Café is a similar Muggle-friendly café that opened late 2017 in Lipa City, where you can bring your friends for some magical Christmas date. While not as grand and intricate (and expensive) as its Korean counterpart, customers get the chance to dress up in Hogwarts robe and carry a wand while in the café. The coffeeshop also accepts requests for customized wands. Their menu features whimsical items with spell-sounding names. Of course, there’s the popular wizarding beverage, Butterbeer!

4. Laundrafe and Co Café (Makati City)
If you’re torn between tackling those mountains of laundry and meeting your friends for a holiday get-together, then this café is your win-win solution. This Dutch-inspired boutique café, which prides itself as the country’s first laundromat and coffee shop in one, will let you do the laundry while enjoying a nice time with friends over Instagram-worthy snacks, meals, desserts, and drinks. It's warm and comfy European-style interiors will make you think you’re home entertaining guests while doing chores on the side.

5. 528 Ilawod Café (Daraga, Albay)
If you’re in this side of the country during the holidays, this café is worth a visit with friends or family. Touted as Albay’s first specialty coffee shop, 528 Ilawod Café offers a more intimate dining experience, tucked in a quiet village where old colonial houses still abound. While its coffee is its top draw (served AeroPress style), its rustic interiors and homey vibe—warm natural accents, beautiful and intricate wall paintings that tell the history of coffee, and old sewing machines turned into tables—also keep diners coming back.

So, do you think you'll get to enjoy these 5 themed cafes for your next venue of celebration? Well, it's always a feel good situation where you can find interesting places.

Congresswoman Florida "Ate Rida" Robes, With A Heart of a Public Servant, Give Thanks To All Who Supports Them

9:51:00 PM

"In Public Service dapat nandun ang puso mo... (in Public Service, your heart should be there to serve)" or interpreted in another way "Don't go to Public Service if your heart is not into it." True that in Public Service the Public goes first with the services that you do to them. With that, a lot of projects, infrastructures, and plans are being laid in the City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. Creating more opportunities for the people. This is the thrust of the Public Servant tandem of Congresswoman Florida "Ate Rida" Robes and Mayor Arthur Robes. Serving the people of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

Of course, without their supporters and constituents, the progress of SJDM would not be possible. It is a 'give and take' ecosystem, as one of the sayings that go ' the more you sow the more you will reap'. And since the people of SJDM planted a good public servant they are now reaping the benefits that made the city to where it is now.

In an interview with Congresswoman Robes, she shared some of the highlights of their "Thanksgiving" or "Pasasalamat" to all their supporters and to all who helped them in the process. One of which is the Town Hall Meeting or Ulat Sa Bayan where they will report to their constituents the progress and development of the city. Also, to make use of the time and resources they'll be kicking off their yearly gift-giving for the people. They'll do this from December 1 up to 17, giving gifts to around 80,000 households in 59 barangays. The lighting of the Christmas Tree and some other activities highlighting the talents of San Josenos.

Also, Congresswoman Robes, through the interview, gave her thanks to many personalities and organizations that have helped in the development of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. Naming them are her husband, Mayor Arthur Robes; their Supporters; President Rodrigo Roa Duterte; Senator Cynthia Villar for sponsoring Saint Bernardette Churros and Maternity Hospital together with Secretary Mark Villar, and Secretary Duque; the Bahay Partylist for the HOA Building; Senator Bato Dela Rosa for the promised Philippine National Building; Senator Nancy Binay and Secretary Mark Villar for the Sports Complex and Convention Center; and Philip "Kuya Ipe" Salvador.

Indeed there are many things to be thankful and that is why Congresswoman Florida Robes is blessed with so many things because she is very much thankful to everyone.
