Sanggano Sanggago't Sanggwapo Brings Back the Old-School Punch of Comedy

12:02:00 AM

It's like bringing back sone old memories and to be precise funny memories. I hjust forgot how old I was when I first watch a comedy film but I'm sure it's the old-school, old formula that really punch and put the laugh on my face.

The additive that made the comedy film hilarious are the actors hitting that punchline. Actors like Janno Gibbs, Dennis Padilla and Andrew E. Three different actors with three different ways of delivering comedy but only delivers one result... Happiness.

I'm pretty sure, the Titos and Titas will definitely laugh their hearts out and bring back some old memories... better yet younger thoughts.

For me, what I like about this movie is that it will let you feel young once again. I don't know how many times I laugh more than my normal tone but I am sure I still laugh at them.

Like what Andrew E said laughter will give you long life, when you laugh you'll exercise your heart by palpitating and when you laugh more you'll eventually have an urge to pee more that will cleanse your kidney and bladder. So, let us all laugh as the move shows in cinemas tomorrow, September 4

Bring the old-school comedy and bring back the laughter!

The Rise of San Jose Del Monte, From Relocation to Destination

6:00:00 PM

I have been to San Jose Del Monte before but that was during my high school days. Some of my classmates were from this part of the town and sometimes we stay at their place to do some homework or projects. As I remember it wasn't a city yet but the town is already known because of the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, the replica of the Our Lady of Lourdes in France. That was perhaps the only iconic and religious landmark that I know at that time.

Another information about the town that I've was that it became the home town of many relocated citizens from different nearby cities. It was marked as 'the relocation site'. Too bad that many LGUs considered the town before as the basin of relocated people but that was before. With its booming population, the government had to do something for its people. It has to evolve and flow with the current of change. It had hurdles and issues along the way but the town didn't stop developing and claiming its cityhood, a rising city. Today, they are celebrating their 19th Cityhood Anniversary.

A common phrase about leaders and leadership, which I rephrased, plus added some extra words 'anyone can lead but it takes a true leader to bring his troops to the summit of victory', and that's what the current leadership is doing right now. Leading the city of San Jose Del Monte into a highly urbanized city.

"From relocation to destination" is the phrase that is retained in my mind as the city's current leader, Mayor Arthur Robes together with his wife, Congresswoman Florida Robes, explained and shows the different developments being implemented for the city and its people. He further explained that the private institutions are creating developments in the city so it is just right for the local government to address the situation and create development as well not only for the San Josenions but also to nearby towns and cities. Creating the City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan as the city of destination.

Here are some of the developments in the city, some of the first in the province and in the country that they are now practicing. Some have already been built and some are under construction.

Veterinary Hospital - which is considered as the first Hospital for Animals in the Philippines.

Command Center of the City's Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office - where they will have an MMDA like command center showing the different areas of the city for dispatch of help and rescue. Also, they have the mobile command center where they do on-site rescue operations.

Activity Center and Convention Center - this is catering to big crowd activities of the city.

Of course, some other plans that are soon to see in the City of San Jose Del Monte.

Government Center - where most of the offices is located in just one area.

Esplanade - where they are on the process of stabilizing the river's side. Visitors can actually do boating.

IT Hub - a plan to create an IT Hub to provide job opportunities for the citizens of SJDM.

City College - to house their students and future member of the working class of the society.

Sports Complex and the Olympic-size Swimming Pool - This will be a good venue for sports and nearby town and cities can also be accommodated.

St. Bernadette Children's and Maternity Hospital - where they will have the breast milk bank for those who are in need of breast milk.

Ospital ng Lungsod - the rehabilitation of the hospital to be a first-class hospital but caters to the needy.

People's Park - a park for the growing number of citizens.

During the visit, from only the iconic landmark Grotto, I now have known a lot of things about San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. To meer knowledge to a vast of information that I can share to other people that I know who would love to find a new kind of destination that will not only relieve stress but enjoy history and culture.

Another thing, they have this Tanglawan Festival that you can see and enjoy!

Who Is Ellenya L?

11:14:00 PM

Recently, there's a buzz on the net about this influencer/vlogger that she's claiming to be the most influencial name in the vlogging industry. Guess who she is? Well, here name is Ellenya L. or Ellenya Lakampati. According to her, she has plenty of followers and when she says plenty it means a lot.

So we did try to get some details about this person and we're glad that we found some few information about her. Apparently, Ellenya L is a 21 year-old ambitious girl who quests to become the next big name in the vlogging/influencer industry. She wants to be famous using today's different social media platforms.

Like most online person Ellenya spends her time patterning her online presence on her celebrity idol (which is played and specially participated by Sue Ramierez as herself). The lucky thing about her path is that she's supported by her musician father Daddy Toots (played by Gio Alvarez). Even if it means climbing on a roof to get her that perfect "drone shot."

Another person close to Ellenya who's always there for her is Peng (played by Inigo Pascual), her talented photographer and literal boy-next-door best friend. Even though, frankly, he has become quite wary of Ellenya's obsession with the image she projects online.

When a chance encounter leads Ellenya to meet Sue Ramirez' star-maker and fellow influencer Kyle Quintos (played by Patrick Sugui), she takes the opportunity to get his help. Quintos can transform her into the big time vlogger she dreams of becoming. He agrees to help her on one condition: she has to prove her potential by becoming viral online within a week.

In an age where everyone is an influencer, and where everyone is a blogger, what does it take to be "instafamous?" Are "likes" and "follows" all that really matters nowadays?

I'm Ellenya L. is not a rom-com movie but instead, a story of a young woman discovering who she is in the age of social media and she is played by Maris Racal, who was once part of a reality game show Pinoy Big Brother (PBB). This movie is a balance of comedy and heart.

I'm Ellenya L. is the directorial debut of actor-producer Boy 2 Quizon. He is best known for comedy roles and being part of the hit show "Bubble Gang" for more than 10 years. This, however, isn't the director's first foray working behind-the-scenes in films. Quizon previously produced hits such as "1,000 Hours," "Camp Sawi," "Sid and Aya," and "Ulan."

The movie is produced by Spring Films, N2 Productions, and Cobalt Entertainment and will be hitting theaters nationwide on September 13, as part of the 2019 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP).

Other casts are Nova Villa, Francine Prieto, and the promising character actress and social media sensation Kat Galang.

5 Reasons How Viewers Are Lead to Think Camila is A Ghost in Killer Bride

11:33:00 PM

The Killer Bride ghosting phenomenon has invaded every house on primetime and what's more interesting is that everyone is hooked with how the story unfolds. From the beginning of the TV series/ teleserye, the story of Camila de la Torre, which was played by Maja Salvador, did show an intriguing forbidden romance that was not revealed instantly. Instead, it was shown mysteriously.

It was indeed breathtaking, convincing, that the characters who played the different roles held you to be there with them. In rage and in anger, that's when the scene of Camila being burned alive. It was a good back story, an epic portrayal of how the story should be tailored.

But tonight's revelation was intriguing and changes the whole concept. The ones that we have established in our minds and the probability that we created to answer some of the mysteries being depicted in the teleserye.

So, how does the storyteller lead us to think that Camila de la Torre is dead? Well, here are five of the reasons how we are lead to that notion.

1. The Bridal Gown Burning Teaser. It all started into this teaser, the burning gown and the screaming of Camila de la Torre.  We were first brainwashed into thinking that the teleserye is a ghost story and with the title of the Killer Bride.

2. Camila Burning in the Cell. Another teaser that made us think that Camila is dead is her scene inside the cell while the whole place is burning like hell. So with this, our minds are conditioned that in the story Camila will die.

3. The Curse. This one is perhaps common in horror stories, the cursing of the abused and maltreated character. We were accustomed to stories like this when the line in the teaser "Sinusumpa ko babalikan ko kayong lahat. At ipapakita ko sa inyo kung anong klaseng demonyo ang tinapon nyo sa impyerno." was cast that was the point where we made to believe that the character of Camila died.

4. The camping stories of the Killer Bride scene. An additional convincing factor that Camila was dead was the scene where her story as the Killer Bride was told in camping. More of it became a kwentong bayan. A story that is told and passed around which became part of the town's hidden or past story.

5. The Great and Convincing Act of Emma. This one made it even more convincing. The scene of Emma seeing and hearing the ghost of Camila de la Torre and what's made it even more intriguing is that it happens in a morgue where most of the ghost stories occur.

Now, these are my five observations for the reasons how we, the viewers, are lead to thinking that Camila de la Torre is a ghost in the past few episodes of the Killer Bride.  In a much more colloquial or simpler term "nabudol tayo ni Emma at Camila". We were fooled to think that Camila is dead.

So, the story unfolds. Killer Bride isn't a ghost story but much more of a vengeance story. I think this is just the first of the mysteries that are unfolding. We will be looking forward to more of the story.

5 Reasons to Experience and Enjoy Saltitude Dive and Beach Resort's Brunchin at the Beach

8:17:00 AM

If you're an owner of a seaside property, Saturday brunchin at the beach is your casual weekend thing but for someone who grew up in a city, this is something that we would look up to. A different experience where sea air breeze unto your skin while having your preferred cuisine in the morning.

Yes, the possibility of experiencing brunch at the beach and probably a good weekend getaway as well. Saltitude Dive and Beach Resort located in Anilao, Mabini, Batangas revolutionize your usual morning food experience. A few hours of travel from Manila isn't bad because the destination is a good place to have to your weekend and your brunch as they have launched their "Brunchin at the Beach" through their restaurant called the Mingle. They offer a brunch buffet for only Php699 per person that opens from 6:00AM to 12:30PM. The buffet comes with a variety of cuisines to choose from. Brunchin at the Beach is not only for resort guests but also for walk-ins who would just want to enjoy a good brunch in a morning and most probably on a weekend.

In my opinion, for someone who works 8 hours a day and 6 days a week, excluding overtime, will enjoy something like this. As I have enjoyed myself together with the other invite bloggers during our visit. So to give more about the experience I'm sharing my top 5 reasons why you should try.

1. Like I mentioned earlier, this is (as far as I know and as of the time I am writing this blog post) the first time a resort offers a brunch buffet not only for their guests but also for walk-ins who want to enjoy having their brunch at the beach.

2. Saltitude's Brunchin at the Beach will offer different cuisines each week, this is to give guests a different experience every time they visit. When we, together with some invited bloggers, visited the opening they offered an Intercontinental theme, which is a wide variety of food selections like American, Japanese, Chinese, Italian and of course the Pinoy dishes.

Steamed Fish

Japanese Maki Rolls

3. Interesting flavors. As to my experience, well, since its an Intercontinental theme, I made sure to try the ones that I like most but also took some pinch of a taste of almost everything. I'm a pasta guy so I dig-in first with the pasta dishes, the Lasagna and Aglio olio, it is great that I have to come back for another round of serving. For the Lasagna, it is perfectly baked that the sauce and the pasta fused the flavor. The Aglio Olio deserves praise for the firm texture of the pasta with the flavoring and ingredients.

But of course they have more than the pasta, and I did taste other dishes. So what are the cuisines laid on the buffet table? Well, they have All American, Mixed Asian, Mediterranean, and of course all-time favorite the Pinoy cuisine.

Tomato Basil Bruschetta

Salmon Bruschetta

Aglio Olio

4. The selection of food in every cuisine. Another interesting thing to know with Saltitude's Brunchin at the Beach is that they didn't over-packed with dishes they just laid a selection, perhaps 4 to 6 dishes per category. Like, for example, the Mixed Asian, they just put in some Japanese Maki rolls, Pancit, and siomai. And that's it. Not too many that you'll end up undecided on what to eat.

Hotdogs, Eggs, Bacons and Pancakes

5. A rare experience to have your brunch at Saltitude Dive & Beach Resort. We all know that the area of Anilao isn't a sandy beach area but more on pebbles that sometimes they other resort owners put more emphasis on the activities rather the beauty and value. For Saltitude, Brunchin at the Beach is created for guests to fall in love with nature and value the beauty of the surroundings. It may be pebbles but with few tweaks and a little bit of personal touch, Saltitude makes the experience more valuable.

In totality, the food experience was great, sumptuous, tummy-filling and satisfying. If you really enjoy food and you're a total foodie then you might don't want to miss visiting this part of Batangas, more particularly the Saltitude Dive & Beach Resort.

The partner of Champorado Anchovy

Champorado

Halaan (Clam) Soup

Adobo the all-time Pinoy Favorite

Aside from the mouthwatering food they serve they also have different amenities that you'll definitely enjoy. Their rooms are intriguingly cute with its personalized names with personally handpicked decors and designs, the cottages, the benches and the hammock where you can spend the day admiring the beauty of Balayan Bay. There are also activities that you can do like swim, dive, kayak, sail, surf, and snorkel.

I would really like to come back and see the view at sunset or even at night time. I believe they also have their Barbeque Nights during summer.

So, if you're planning to have your weekend getaway, you can check out Saltitude Dive & Beach Resort located at Anilao, Mabini, Batangas. Waze or google map will do to get their or just simply take the exciting commute trip Jam or Alps Bus going to Batangas Grand Terminal, then a jeepney ride going to Anilao Port and lastly a tricycle ride from Anilao Port to Saltitude. Take note that the tricycle ride only cost Php35.00 per person. So enjoy!
