If you have seen the "Huling Tapatan," Reiven Umali of Carmona, Cavite was hailed the latest grand champion of the longest-running singing competition in the country “Tawag ng Tanghalan” on “It’s Showtime” on Saturday (September 18).

The 18-year-old singer and kumu streamer earned a total average score of 93% from the combined hurado scores from judges Louie Ocampo, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Karylle, Erik Santos, Jed Madela, Nyoy Volante, and Klarisse de Guzman and the public votes. He beat Adrian Manibale with 55.7% and Anthony Castillo with 52%.

As the fifth “Tawag ng Tanghalan” grand champion, Reiven won P1 million, a brand new house and lot from Camella worth P2.3 million, a recording contract with ABS-CBN Music, a management contract under Star Magic's Polaris, and a trophy designed by Toym Imao. Psalm Manalo, Gem Christian, Froilan Cedilla, Lorraine Galvez, and Aixia Mallary were eliminated after their pangmalakasang performances’s combined scores did not make the cut.

First Time in "It's Showtime" G-FORCE Sweeps “MADLANG PI-POLL and Wins P150,000 Jackpot Prize

9:00:00 AM

Last September 2, Thursday, members of the dance group G-Force rejoiced as they made history on “It’s Showtime” by becoming the first batch of studio players to sweep all seven rounds of “Madlang Pi-Poll,” the Philippines’ first interactive game segment on TV.

Jorge Marvin, Myka Gonzaga, and John Michael took home the jackpot prize of P105,000 plus an additional P45,000 for correctly guessing all of the answers of home viewers to seven poll-based questions.

The final question was “Paano mo malalaman ‘pag nanlalamig na siya sa relasyon? (How will you know your relationship has turned cold?).” Out of the six choices, the dancers picked “Wala nang oras (When they can no longer find time for you),” which turned out to be the answer of the majority of home viewers (33%).

Home viewers, meanwhile, were not left empty-handed as three of them won ABS-CBN merchandise as consolation prizes.

The hit segment has seen a steady increase in participating home viewers all over the country since its launch in July, as it recorded an all-time high of 84,272 active players last August 27.

“Madlang Pi-Poll” gives studio players and home viewers the chance to win cash prizes by answering poll questions. The prize is added to the studio players’ pot money if their answer matches the majority vote of home viewers. Otherwise, the money will be added to the total of the home players, which will then be evenly divided among randomly drawn winners.

To join the game, viewers, using their laptop or mobile device, can log on to www.joinnow.ph/showtime or scan the QR code that will be flashed on-screen and answer the game’s poll-based questions during the live segment.

A participant must be a Filipino citizen living in the Philippines, at least 18 years old, and has a valid ID. But to qualify for the raffle draw and get a chance to win prizes, they must register and provide their full name, address, age, phone number, and e-mail address after answering the final question in the game.

Let your voice be heard by joining “Madlang Pi-Poll” from Mondays to Saturdays on “It’s Showtime” on A2Z channel on free TV and digital TV boxes, Kapamilya Channel on cable and satellite TV, Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page, and on the iWantTFC app (iOs and Android) and on iwanttfc.com. Viewers outside of the Philippines can also catch it on The Filipino Channel on cable and IPTV.

Celebrities Taking on the Fun Challenge in SHOWTIME'S "Walang Tunugan"

9:57:00 PM

Can you really have fun without making any sound? Well, this is one of the newest segment of "It's Showtime." This is where celebrities will take on different fun challenges without making a sound and the newest game segment is called “Walang Tunugan,” which debuted on Monday (December 14).

In the game, two celebrity players will try to complete a challenge while producing the least amount of noise or sound possible – which will be measured by a decibel meter.

To introduce the game to viewers, hosts Vhong Navarro and Kim Chiu faced off in opening a can of softdrinks while staying as quiet as possible.

Kim emerged as the winner of the game then advanced to the jackpot round, which she had to be accomplished in total silence. Wearing a jacket filled with spikes, Kim tried – but failed – to get through a balloon tunnel without popping a single balloon.

In each episode, online viewers can also get a chance to win the P5,000 prize if they correctly guess which celebrity player will advance to the jackpot round. To join, netizens need to tweet or comment on Facebook the name of the celebrity player along with the show’s official hashtag of the day.

Because Kim failed to complete the task, the cash prize will be added to the accumulated jackpot prize money in the next episode.

Join in the fun in “It’s Showtime” from Mondays to Saturdays on A2Z channel on the digital and analog broadcast. Digital TV box users can scan and look for A2Z channel in Metro Manila and in some parts of Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, Rizal, Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, and Pampanga.

Viewers can also catch the show on Kapamilya Channel on cable and satellite TV (SKYchannel 8 on SD and channel 167 on HD, Cablelink channel 8, G Sat Direct TV channel 22, and most cable operator-members under Philippine Cable and Telecommunications Association), on Kapamilya Online Live daily on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page, and on the iWantTFC app (iOs and Android) and on iwanttfc.com. Viewers outside of the Philippines can also catch it on The Filipino Channel on cable and IPTV.

Piling Lucky Winner Gets a House and Lot

1:49:00 AM

Remember that I have featured the first millionaire of It's Showtime's Piling Lucky game segment, now they have another winner but this time it's a house and lot. Yes, what's interesting with the winner is that they have a story to tell that made them the very right person to win the prize.

Marissa Rocha and her husband Christian have stopped worrying about getting kicked out of a small room that is their home after she, a 32-year-old housewife, won a brand new house and lot from Lessandra in the jackpot round of “It’s Showtime’s” Piling Lucky segment.

“Winning a new house is a big help to us, we don’t need to rent anymore. We only have to pay for electricity and water from now on. It brings us great comfort,”said Marissa, 32.

Marissa and her husband Christian, 35, have been sharing a room with their one-year-old child in Sta. Ana, Manila. This room is part of a house they live in with Christian’s relatives – his grandmother, his aunt, and his siblings. Every month, the siblings chip in for the rent and utilities.

Christian’s family has been renting out the property for 24 years, until last year, they were notified that the owner put it up for sale and that they needed to find a new home.

“We should have moved out last year. The owner has been telling us. That is why he has been looking for a place, so we can move out when we are forced to,” shared Marissa.

“I’ve been looking up houses in Cavite on Facebook. ‘Ma, do you want this? It’s only P2,000 monthly.’ ‘No, that’s too expensive.’ Little did we know a house is coming our way,” shared Christian.

Living in a place they can call their own is a dream come true for the couple. In fact, when “It’s Showtime” announced that a brand new house and lot was going to be the jackpot prize in “Piling Lucky,” the couple was optimistic, and prayed for divine intervention when they went to church last Sunday.

Because of “Piling Lucky” and a brand new house and lot from Lessandra, Marissa and Christian can look forward to building a future with their family in Tanza, Cavite. They can now devote their resources to paying off their loan for a car that Christian is using for his job.

Marissa and her family can now finally move in to a place they can call their own home, after being blessed with a brand new two-storey townhouse “Arielle,” with 36-square meter floor area and 42-square meter lot area, which features two bedrooms, a living area, dining and kitchen, toilet, and bathroom. Bringing the utmost convenience and accessibility to everything that they need, Lessandra guarantees a wise home investment for them, affording its homeowners a wide selection of brilliantly crafted houses and a complete set of amenities like club house, swimming pool, basketball court, and playground. They can now enjoy a home that is strategically located in close proximity to business and commercial hubs, schools, hospitals, churches, and major transportation hubs.

Lessandra, provider of affordable, quality dream homes that elevate Filipino’s lives, is the fastest rising star in the housing industry with real estate properties that offers convenience and exclusivity all over the country. Perfect for young professionals and starting families, it is a pride and joy living in this vibrant community as it wills to create harmony for career and personal lives of active families.

Marissa is the latest big winner of “Piling Lucky,” which also named its first millionaire on February 14 when a contestant, Ryan, won the P1.1 million jackpot prize.

It's Showtime's Piling Lucky Got It's First Millionaire

2:44:00 PM

Just today, "It's Showtime" made its first-ever millionaire with its game segment called "Piling Lucky." For over a month, participants of the said game segment weren't able to bag it's jackpot prize, until today.

It started with an initial pot prize of Php50,000.oo which grew to Php1,100,000.00. From 100 participants down to the lucky 20 and trimming down for three (3) rounds. The 3rd, whether a sole qualifier or more will have to choose an item according to what they call Charot Card. For today's round, it was a line up of Shirts with different Heart prints on it. Two lucky participants got through the final round. But the deciding factor was with Kristine Reyes. Whoever picked the same shirt that Kristine Reyes is wearing wins the pot money.

Intense as everyone are, Kristine Reyes unzipped her jacket and revealed the shirt she was wearing. It was a heart with a beating line. The participant on her left named Ryan got the same shirt. In awe and shocked, Ryan couldn't believe that he won the Php1,100,000.00 prize.

9:34:00 AM

One of the most beautiful woman in the universe is probably the best fit in the new segment of It's Showtime. Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray kickstart the new chapter of her life by bringing her signature charm to noontime TV in ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime,” serving as one of the special hosts of its new segment “Mini Ms. U.”

“Mini Ms. U” is a pageant for little girls who want to unleash their inner beauty queen and showcase their wit, talent, and passion for their chosen causes.

“They’re really cute. And just to see them really performing so well on stage and having such high confidence at that age – it’s really amazing to see,” said Catriona, who is also taking lessons to improve her spoken Tagalog.

Each day, three charming young beauty queens will compete to become the daily winner, who will then have a shot at pursuing her advocacy or getting her wish come true in the weekly finals. The grand winner of the competition will have a chance at becoming ABS-CBN’s next child superstar.

“It’s Showtime” also brings good fortune to its madlang people with the new segment “Piling Lucky.” Every day, the show opens its doors to fans who line up at the ABS-CBN Audience Entrance, from which the Lucky 100 will be drawn. From the Lucky 100, the Lucky 20 players will be brought to the studio to carry out challenges using their chosen lucky items in successive rounds.

In the end, only one out of the 20 players will remain to play the ultimate game of luck and win the jackpot prize of P50,000. If no one wins the prize, it will be added to the accumulated jackpot prize money the next day.

“Tawag ng Tanghalan,” Philippine TV’s premier singing competition, also kicked off its fourth year on air as it continues to scour the country and other parts of the world to look for the singing superstar who will follow in the footsteps of grand winners Noven Belleza, Janine Berdin, and Elaine Duran.

The competition boosts the stakes for all contenders in its fourth year, which will place the daily winner or defending champion under the threat of the ‘gong’ in the daily faceoff round. Aside from the punong hurado, other judges can also ‘gong’ a contender if four of them press their buzzers during the performance – a new feature called “power of four.”

Moreover, four industry legends will also be introduced as new members of its esteemed panel of ‘hurados’ soon.

Watch out for more surprises in “Mini Ms. U,” “Piling Lucky,” and the fourth year of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” in “It’s Showtime,” which airs from Mondays to Saturdays on ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN HD (Sky Cable ch 167).
