Amnesia is trauma experienced by the brain that tends to forget certain memories and that's what Amnesia Love is all about. The mind can forget but not the body. As the month of February ends and for the bitter ones or those who tends to be single or the ones left behind, perhaps it's about time to forget the past and move on but before forgetting it all, Viva Films invites you to join in the fun as award-winning actor Paolo Ballesteros plays a guy trying to discover his true identity in “Amnesia Love”.
Found unconscious by the beach in a remote island in Zambales, the character of Paolo Ballesteros is taken in by a compassionate couple (Lander Vera-Perez and Maricel Morales ). When he wakes up, he cannot remember his name nor anything else. The couple’s daughter (Yam Concepcion) is skeptical about this guy’s condition, but is left with no choice but to let him stay in their home. Romance starts to brew between the two, but this amnesia patient displays some acts that are not exactly manly, and finds himself distracted by the sight of attractive men. When somebody from his past comes to shed light on who and what he really is, will the answers bring him peace or mayhem?

With a Best Actor award each from Tokyo Film Festival and Metro Manila Film Festival under his belt, Ballesteros said in an interview that he wants to keep making movies that would make people think. “Mapag-iisip yung tao…I want a good film na worth yung pagod.”
This outlook is shared by director Albert Langitan, who has worn different hats in the world of local production. He started out as a scriptwriter, then went on to direct reality shows and teleseryes such as Impostora and Super Ma’am. It is interesting to see how Langitan’s creative eye and Ballesteros’ passion for his craft work together to bring viewers a laugh-out-loud movie that’s hard to forget.

Adding spice to the film is Viva’s versatile actress, Yam Concepcion who was first launched to stardom via Erik Matti’s adult drama “Rigodon”. “Amnesia Love” is Paolo and Yam’s reunion film. They worked together in the 2016 Blockbuster movie, “Bakit Lahat Ng Gwapo May Boyfriend” with kapuso star Dennis Trillo and the Princess of All Media, Anne Curtis.
Joining Paolo, Yam, Lander and Maricel in the cast are Polo Ravales, Vandolf Quizon, Geleen Eugenio and Sinon Loresca.

Headlining this drama are Miss World 2013 Megan Young and versatile Kapuso actress Katrina Halili, together with GMA’s prime leading man Mikael Daez.
Megan Young is Mayumi Dela Rosa. Beautiful and intelligent, she graduated with a degree in Chemistry with flying colors. She also dreams of creating her own makeup product line someday.
Katrina Halili is Isabelle Salvador. She is an only child who grew up spoiled and self-centered. She also manages her family’s makeup line, Coco Bella.
Mikael Daez is Francis Almeda. He is handsome, smart, and works as a head product engineer. He meets Mayumi and falls in love with her, despite Isabelle’s incessant prodding for him to love her back.
In the series, Mayumi and Isabelle never really liked each other, even more so when Mayumi’s mother, Luisa, and Isabelle’s father, Hernan, fall for one another and get married, making them stepsisters.

But no secret ever stays a secret, especially ones that are rooted within families. When Isabelle finds out what Hernan has done, she will do all that it takes to keep everything they have, even if it means taking down Mayumi. But Mayumi will never let anyone hurt her or her loved ones. Now both Mayumi and Isabelle will fight for what is rightfully theirs—family, honor, and love.

Martial Arts Superstar Jackie Chan heats up the big screen again in his latest action / sci-fi movie, BLEEDING STEEL, which will open in Philippine theaters starting February 21.

Directed by Leo Zhang, the movie tells the story of Special Agent Lin Dong (Chan) who gets torn between his family and his duty. He gets a phone call from the hospital informing him that his daughter who’s suffering from Leukemia is in critical condition. He rushes to the hospital, but on the way gets another phone call this time from a co-worker, informing him of an immediate and dangerous mission.

Lin’s co-worker informs him that Dr. James, a critical witness to a crime is in danger and needs protection from the police. But before the police can reach him, Dr. James injects himself with a chemical substance stored with a mechanical heart. And when the police arrive to escort him, they were ambushed by unknown men and almost all members of Lin’s team were killed.

Fast forward to 13 years, what happened to Agent Lin Dong, his daughter, and to the mysterious witness Dr. James who might be the key to an advanced but destructive technology?

BLEEDING STEEL is filled with zesty fights and goofy scenes that are trademarks of a Jackie Chan movie. He also mixes his well-known martial arts moves with new fighting styles that are suitable for a sci-fi action movie.

The film was shot in Taipei, Beijing and Australia and Jackie Chan’s intense fight scene on top of the Sydney Opera House is a definitely a must-see.

One of the fresh names that I've heard in the music industry, Paolo Sandejas, son of TV personality Christine Jacob-Sandejas, has signed a record deal with Universal Records. At just 17 years old, Paolo is one of the youngest artists currently signed to the label. The contract signing was held at the Universal Records office in Quezon City. Present during the signing are Universal Records General Manager Kathleen Dy Go, Operations Manager Peter Chan, Head of OPM Production Ito Rapadas, Momager Christine Jacob-Sandejas and Paolo.
Paolo Sandejas said: "I feel truly humbled to be part of the Universal Records family. Another phrase came out from the President just recently that became the talk of the town, the “Di Masarap” thing. Yes it was blurted out by the President in an event as he welcomes the 150 overseas Filipino workers, who were sent home from Kuwait, the President gave advise to his audience, who are mostly female, to avail the reproductive health services from the government. Though he urges to them to use the services he discouraged them from using condom and pointed out that “hindi masarap yang condom (because condom isn’t pleasurable).”

Yes sometimes there are below the belt hit jokes by the President and there are sensitive ones who were alarmed by it. One of whom is Lisa Hontiveros, the chairperson of the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality. The lawmaker finds it not funny.

The President demonstrated what he mentioned by having a demo of an unwrapped candy be eaten, which is by the way true in reality. Who would want to taste the candy without unwrapping it?

In my opinion, we should not just look at the president who looks like a sex maniac who seeks pleasure. We speak of equality but we already weighed the person by what he just said. Where’s the equality in that?

How would you feel knowing that you will be in a competition where one of your idols is there competing to? Well, I'm sure you'll be feeling mixed emotions and that was perhaps felt by one of Pinoy's pride in the singing arena, KZ Tandingan, as she competes to be one of the top contenders in China's popular and hit reality singing competition, Singer 2018.

Yes it is a reality singing competition where she was invited and to her surprise one of the contender is her idol Jessie J, of which is also a big chunk of the reason why KZ Tandingan continued her signing career.

KZ was introduced a few days ago as one of the challenger, the newest addition to the lineup of contestants. It seems that KZ already win the heart of the judges and voters on her first performance. She will be there until the finale in April, unless she gets voted out and eliminated.



The Singer 2018 is a competition for professional singers and some of the singers included in this singing reality show are Jessie J from the UK, Tien Chong from Hong Kong, Angela Chang from Taiwan, Li Xiaodong, James Li and Juno Su all from China.
