It was a rainy Friday night, good weather to relax and a good way to end the week.  As the rain continuously pours out of the open area a number of bloggers were introduced to King Bee Chinese Restaurant at their Commonwealth Avenue Branch.  Explaining how the company started and how they came to be.

About The Company

The King Bee Chinese Restaurant  that serves authentic Chinese Cuisine originated in Brgy. Manggahan, General Trias, province of Cavite on August 17, 2001. The King Bee name of the restaurant came from the owner Mrs. Ang Ong King Bee. A family business that have grown and been known in the province of Cavite.

Award-winning actor Paulo Avelino has a lot to be thankful for - acting recognitions, a phenomenal TV series, slew of endorsements. However, for Paulo, he considers his throngs of fans his biggest blessing.

Kwento Ni Toto was lucky to be invited in Bea Binene's Debut Album launched.  This event was covered by Angelyn Demo, one of our correspondent, who was enthusiastic enough to tell her story about this launch.  Here's her cover story.

Since the Kwento Ni Toto guy wasn't around the Metro during this launched I was tasked to cover this story.  No offence but I barely know Bea Binene and I first saw her in person during one of Bum's Fashion Show that's why I got curious as well when this task was given to me.  At least this time I would be able to know her much better.

Food has always been one of my comfort, it gives me the completion of my thoughts whenever I'm shattered and out of focus.  It is a vice that I think has brought me to different taste of cuisines and delicacies.  A delightful journey of my tongue and an exquisite adventure of my lips.

Today, I have experienced a come back of history.  It has brought me the sense of where and when it all started.  A portion of the Filipino Culture that has been passed on through generations.


When we've heard of mami and siopao, it all boils down to one specific spot in Manila and that is Binondo.  The heart of the rich Chinoy culture.  Together with some of the richly known Chinese restaurants, MaSuki is one of those old restaurants in Binondo who have been in the business for more than half a century already.  The history of MaSuki way goes back 1930s when they have firjst established the restaurant in Binondo which was first called as MaKong Noodle House.  Later on it was change to MaSuki due to change of perhaps management and from then on it became the presently known as the MaSuki Mami Restaurant.

How many people do you think knows how to organize?  Actually, I'm not sure also but as far as I know most organized persons are the Moms.  No offense to the Dads but if I'm going to have a ratio of its 1:5.  One Dad out of Five Moms knows their stuff in the house.  Hopefully, especially now that the number of Stay At Home Dads are increasing.

There is undeniably something in Noel Cabangon that his albums sell, amidst the prevailing problems of the local recording industry. Star Cinema pumps up the silverscreen with its ultimate 'barkada' movie event of the year titled “The Reunion,” which gathers four of the most promising actors of their generation, namely Enchong Dee, Enrique, Gil, Kean Cipriano, and Xian Lim. “The Reunion” is set to hit cinemas on August 15 (Wednesday).

One Direction have notched up an incredible 12 million sales worldwide in less than a year including 8 million singles, 3 million albums and a million DVDs. To celebrate this amazing success the band were presented with a special disc last night by Syco and Sony Music.

One Direction’s debut album ‘Up All Night’ has sold over 3 million copies worldwide and has hit No.1 in 16 different countries, including the USA where they became the first ever UK band to debut at No.1 on the US Billboard chart. The album is currently the top selling debut album of 2012 in the US.

In the USA ‘Up All Night’ has been certified platinum with over 1 million sales, whilst ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ has sold over 3 million copies in the US and 5 million worldwide.
