Summer is hotter with Banana Boat Sunscreen Lotion, Schick, & Nuffnang

10:06:00 PM

My ideal Nuffnang summer is going on a long hike around the area of Boracay and end the rest of the stay soaking my sweaty looking body in a clear blue water of the beaches together with "Schick.  Free your skin.".  Letting the salty water sip in without the worry of getting burn with the helpt of "Banana Boat Sunscreen Lotion.  We've got you covered."

Having an extraordinary and ideal summer can really let me, us, let loose and unwind from our usual activities in the metro.  Rejuvenating our mind and body to be ready face another deal of life in the savage land called city.

So for now, I'm awaiting for my summer getaway!  Welcome SUMMER!

SABRINA's “MOVES LIKE JAGGER”, “I LOVE ACOUSTIC 4” NOW PLATINUM IN INDONESIA

11:23:00 PM

Asia’s acoustic sweetheart Sabrina releases her follow-up single from her highly successful “I Love Acoustic 4” album—her version of the hit “Moves Like Jagger”.

This Maroon5 & Christina Aguilera single which became a staple song of 2011 will be infused with Sabrina’s own sweet acoustic flavor that listeners will love. Its music video directed by Daphne Oliveros recently premiered at MYX and entered the Top 20 of Pinoy MYX Countdown after only 1 week of airplay.

“I’m so excited about this second single as it is such a fun track,” Sabrina said. “Also watch the music video of the song as it will be different from my previous videos”.

And to add to the good news--- “I Love Acoustic 4” is now certified PLATINUM in Indonesia (the album turned GOLD November of 2011). This makes Sabrina one of the few Filipino singers to have multi-platinum success in Indonesia which other singers have tried but failed to penetrate. “I Love Acoustic 4” was also released in Thailand and soon in Singapore and Malaysia. Her previous albums “I Love Acoustic”, “I Love Acoustic Too and “I Love Acoustic 3” were multi-platinum success in those countries- the only Filipino female singer to break in successfully in the South East Asian market. Her huge following abroad is now translating locally as the album is still in retail charts where it debuted at #1 at Astroplus and #9 at Odyssey upon its first week of release. Because of her success abroad, she became a recipient of the “International Achievement Award at the recent Awit Awards where she also took home the I-Gateway Mobile Philippines, Inc.'s Most Downloaded Artist for 2010.

The album also includes the tracks “Price Tag,” “Who Says”, “Edge of Glory”, “On The Floor”, “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”, “California King Bed”, “Hold It Against Me”, “Rolling In The Deep”, “The Lazy Song”, “Back To December”, “That Should Be Me”, “Marry Me”, “Rocketeer”, “Just The Way You Are” featuring Indonesian singer Calvin Jeremy and “Lucky” featuring multi-platinum crooner Richard Poon.

Asia’s Acoustic Sweetheart Sabrina returns to Indonesia this March 24 for a show at Supermal Karawaci in the capital city of Jakarta. You may also catch Sabrina here on March 31 (Saturday), 5pm at SM Molino. Those who will buy her album “I Love Acoustic 4” will get to have their CDs autographed by Sabrina herself after the show.

“I Love Acosutic 4” by Sabrina is now out in CDs under MCA Music (Universal Music Philippines) and available for download at mymusicstore.com.ph. Is It A Myth? Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang

10:57:00 PM

Being invited in a press conference a privilege for a blogger.  Knowing and meeting the cast is one of the benefits that the bloggers get.  Having a first glimpse of what's their latest movie, their show, or their latest album.    Thanks to those who are in the industry, bloggers get a peek of what's hot and what's in.

The last press conference that I attended was a little bit eerie.  The feeling in a dark secluded place that would really raise the hair off of your skin.  It's a team up of two known actor and actress for a very trembling yet heart pumping horror love story, Derek Ramsay and Erich Gonzales on Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang.

There are different tales about monsters and creatures that lurks in the dark and Filipinos do have plenty of those stories.  Most of them were told by the old folks of different towns.  Different stories, different creatures and different places.

For this story, Director Richard Somes runs his wild imagination about a loving couple whose love for each other survives the biggest trials confronting them.  Erich plays the character of Corazon whose otherwise peaceful life in a small town is shattered by a crime that brings back her tragic memory about World War II.  While Derek plays the role of Daniel, Corazon's husband, whose obsession in life is to sire a child with Corazon.  Having a baby is the only important thing Corazon wants in life, but she and Daniel have been unsuccessful in having one even if they've been married for five years.

The death of Corazon's father prompt the townspeople to hurt insults at Corazon about her past, forcing her and Daniel to transfer to another town where they seek the help of a woman in their desire to have a baby.  Wish granted.  But the baby comes out stillborn.  Corazon and Daniel's world crumbles and their love for each other is in question.

The casts, Derek and Erich accepted this project with the notion that they will be facing a new challenge in their career and it is something different from the usual characters that they are playing.  According to them they have put more than hundred percent on this project.

This is a very intriguing horror love story that will raise curiosity to those who have viewed the trailer.  Everything will be answered and will be revealed on March 14, 2012 under Star Cinema and Skylight Films.  Other casts of the film are Mark Gil, Tetchie Agbayani, Epi Quizon, Mon Confiado, Dan Alvaro, Sue Prado, Sharlene San Pedro, Bodjie Pascual and Ma. Isabel Lopez.

"Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang" opens in over 100 theaters nationwide on March 14, 2012!

Experience Dr. Seuss' The Lorax in IMAX 3D

10:06:00 PM

Honestly I haven't been able to watch any movies in IMAX, yet, so seeing a movie just once would be a great experience.  Perhaps the waiting is over!

This coming March 16, IMAX SM Southmall will going to get busy entertaining their movie goers for the showing of Dr. Seuss' The Lorax.   The film tells about the story of the Lorax, a forest creature who shares the enduring power of hope and features the vocal talents of an all-star cast that includes Danny Devito, Ed Helms, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift and Betty White.

This animated movie is quite intriguing because I'm not really sure of what is the genre about Lorax.  So, I'll just have to watch it and see for myself.

The IMAX release of Dr. Seuss' The Lorax has been digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of the IMAX 3D Experience with proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology.  The crystal-clear images coupled with IMAX's customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio create a unique environment that will make audiences fell as if they are in the movie.

Here's something more about Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax

From the creators of Despicable Me and the imagination of Dr. Seuss comes the 3D-CG feature Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, an adaptation of the classic tale of a forest creature who shares the enduring power of hope. The animated adventure follows the journey of a 12-year-old as he searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.

Danny DeVito lends his vocal talents to the iconic title character of the Lorax, while Ed Helms voices the enigmatic Once-ler. Also bringing their talents to the film are global superstars Zac Efron as Ted, the idealistic youth who searches for the Lorax, and Taylor Swift as Audrey, the girl of Ted’s dreams. Rob Riggle plays financial king O’Hare, and beloved actress Betty White portrays Ted’s wise Grammy Norma.

Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is the third feature created by Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me, Hop). www.theloraxmovie.com

The Heat Is Rising Up in Valiente on TV5

6:28:00 PM

The story of Valiente lives through the newest generations of actors and actresses.  This production is directed by Director Joel Lamangan on primetime at TV5.

The story heats up as the story of Valiente goes on.

Press Release

The Philippine Internet Congress and Expo

9:52:00 PM

Congress and Expo have indeed provided different solutions and insights for a certain topic or products. We get the information on what’s in and what’s not, the trending and the hit. In any form these kinds of events have been the source for everything new.

For this quarter, a landmark event in the Philippines will be held this coming March 9 – 11, 2012 at SM Megamall Megatrade Hall. It is The Philippine Internet Congress and Expo, this will highlight the latest trends and updates in the internet. This event will not only showcase what’s the newest in the market but will also give emphasis on breakthrough ideas and insights of renowned personalities and industry leaders. This will be an immense opportunity to get invaluable ideas and practical advice from the best speakers and industry leaders, take home effective tools and latest resources, and to get up to speed on state-of-the-art online technology.

Though most of the topics are really intriguing and fascinating there is one topic that I would really want to attend to if I’ll be given a chance to sit in the Philippine Internet Congress. That topic would be “Protecting Your Business: What You Should Know About Hacking”. I know, for some of the readers they have already heard about it and even learned something about it but for me and perhaps for those who are not familiar with this kind of attack on different online businesses this is something that should not be taken lightly. Perhaps this topic will be of great help not only to people with online businesses but also to those who consider their online presence as a business.

Other topics that I would enjoy listening to is the “The Facebook Generation: The Impact of Social Media in Global Transformation” and the “From Entrepreneur to Technopreneur: Creating Revenue Streams From Your Site”. These are some of the topics that appeals interesting to me. Not really much sure of who are the speakers of these topics but I’ll definitely let my ears stuck with them when they started talking.

I already know some of the speakers and I have already heard some of them share their thoughts in some of the talks I have attended with, since Hans Montenegro is a celebrity I would like to know what are his insights and ideas.

If you’re anxious to hear these speakers talk about the different topics in The Philippine Internet Congress and Expo with a theme of “Getting Up to Speed on World Class Technology” better get your hands moving and sign up now. You can simply get the details and online registration on the following websites www.internetcongressph.com and www.powermaxph.com or you may contact Kaye or Randolf at 470-1055, 470-1057 or 0905-3364486 to reserve a seat in the conference.
