Coco Martin or Cardo Dalisay Openly Supports New Partylist Advocating for Livelihood and the Transport Sector

9:09:00 PM

Famously known action-star today, Coco Martin or on-screen name Cardo Dalisay, is actively making rounds all over as he debuts his endorsement to a new party-list advocating for livelihood and the transport sector, the AP Partylist or #AkoyPilipino on Friday, February 25.

“Anuman ang hirap na ating pinagdadaanan, may kakampi na tayo…” Martin introduced his new party-list group with first nominee Rep. Ronnie Ong in-action in the background in the partylist’s video now circulating online. He continues, “Ang AP Partylist ang tutulong magbigay ng trabaho at kabuhayan sa mga manggagawang Pilipino.”

Rep. Ronnie Ong is Coco Martin’s long-time friend and is nicknamed by PeopleAsia as the “frontliner Congressman.” Ong is known for his various out-of-the-box COVID-19 Bayanihan projects since the first lockdown, such as his #LibrengSakay program for healthworkers, #LibrengGulay program for community kitchens, #LibrengTablets and E-skwela Hub e-learning centers for students and teachers.

Before the pandemic, Ong also supported senior citizens looking for employment through his Tulong Pangkabuhayan program, deploying various able-bodied and willing-to-work seniors at airports, public universities and government agencies. During the pandemic, he also helped out-of-work transport workers such as UV Express or FX drivers by employing them as #LibrengSakay drivers, as well as some laid-off ABS-CBN employees who found alternative work as contact tracers.

More than just Coco Martin, the all-star cast of Ang Probinsyano forming the famed “Task Force Agila,” has also expressed their support for AP Partylist on their social media pages, sharing the various advocacies of AP Partylist closest to them. “Mula po noong umpisa nakasama na namin si Cong. Ronnie, at kita namin na nagtrabaho talaga siya, naglingkod talaga siya. Kaya ngayon, ang #164 AP Partylist na kasama siya ang sinusuportahan na namin. Sana po ay suportahan niyo rin,” Coco Martin said.

Aside from the endorsement video, AP Partylist also collaborated with OPM artists Bassilyo, Sisa and Smugglaz with their “Ako’y Pilipino,” anthem that sings of the pride, perseverance, and hardwork of Filipinos. They sing, “Ikaw ay magtiwala, magtiwalang may magagawa. Ito na ang panahon, ang tamang pagkakataon, sa bawat daing mo’y magtutugon. Ako’y Pilipinong lumalaban, tumatapang, lalo kung nasusugatan, anumang pagsubok ang daanan, haharapin nang may kagitingan. Itaas mo ang noo, isigaw mo sa buong mundo, ako’y Pilipino.” Both videos are available on Youtube and on AP Party-list’s official social media pages.

Coco Martin calls on the audience to join him on his new journey with his new partylist, “Dito na tayo sa biyaheng aasenso ang lahat ng Pilipino… AP Partylist #AkoyPilipino, number 164 sa balota.”

Sun Life's New Campaign Highlights About Health

5:29:00 AM

The uncertainty amidst the COVID-19 pandemic has indeed put us all in a situation where we realized the importance of many things. One, in particular, is the value of our health.

Filipinos who are eager to secure their health and ensure a brighter future will find an ally in Sun Life, as it launches a campaign dubbed “Partner in Health.”

Featuring Charo Santos-Concio, Matteo Guidicelli, and Piolo Pascual, the campaign consists of digital videos where they will talk about lessons from past experiences which paved the way towards their brighter future. One of these is investing in their health. The videos will be shared on Sun Life’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/SunLifePH) and YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/SunLifePH).

Complementing the videos is “Safe Space,” a series of webinars focusing on mental health to be conducted in collaboration with the Philippine Mental Health Association, Inc. (PMHA). The pilot stream, entitled “Love 'em, Hate 'em, Stress 'em: Mental Wellness for the Family,” will be held on April 9. It will be followed by “Imperfect Balance: How Mental Wellness Bridges Work and Life” on May 14. The series will close on June 18 with “You are Worth It: Illuminating a Path towards Holistic Health.”

To make the learning series more fun and interactive, Sun Life will also engage followers of its Facebook page through bite-sized content dubbed “Mind Your Health,” which promotes holistic wellness and mental health.

Sun Life is also collaborating with education technology platform Edukasyon.ph to spread its health advocacy to the younger generation. This will be done through a nationwide awareness campaign featuring articles, quizzes, and informative social posts promoting holistic health. Learning Quests, a gamified online learning module, may also be utilized by those who wish to learn more about the topic.

Meanwhile, for those ready to own a health protection product, they may choose from Sun Life’s diverse offerings such as SUN First Aid Plus, SUN Fit & Well Advantage, and Sun ICU Protect. With this campaign, we are reemphasizing our commitment to be the Filipino’s partner in health.”

The National Election Campaign Period Starts

11:50:00 PM

So, the Presidentiables started its Election Campaign!

To give us a glimpse of the span of these campaign periods, we can read it on the website of the Commission on Election or commonly known as COMELEC. It is written in the Republic Act No. 7056 under Section 8 which is the Election and Campaign Periods. "Unless otherwise fixed in special cases by the Commission on Elections, the election period for regular and special elections shall commence ninety (90) days before the day of the election and shall end thirty (30) days thereafter."

Now, we will bear ourselves with the posters and jingles that we will see and hear for that period.

Anyway, let's make a brief lineup of the aspiring presidentiables. The list is in alphabetical order.

Ernesto Abella
Leody De Guzman
Isko Moreno Domagoso
Norberto Gonzales
Ping Lacson
Faisal Mangondato
Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
Jose Montemayor Jr.
Manny Pacquiao
Leni Robredo

These are the names you'll see on the ballot once you exercise your right to vote on May 9.

We always hear and read the phrase "vote wisely." Frankly, are we all wise enough to say that we will vote or we voted for the right person? Or, these politicians are adequately intelligent to make you feel that you found the right candidate? Always remember you are important until May 9, so make that decision as to what you think is right.

Instead of throwing tomatoes at each other, let us respect that decision and support whoever wins for the sake of our country.

Making the best out of the new normal: Epson on powering through the pandemic and assisting customer support across Asia

6:33:00 AM

When the pandemic started, the Philippines experienced the biggest dip in its economy since World War I. This is due to nationwide lockdowns aimed to stop the surge and spread of COVID-19 infections. In the second quarter of 2021, the country’s GDP showed a double-digit growth of 11.8% from the -3.9% of the first quarter in the same year.

Epson has been powering through the pandemic and has remained as the market leader in 2021. Despite major setbacks experienced by many businesses in the country, Epson is right on track with its FY21 target, boasting 124% sales in the first half of the year. Epson scanners have maintained market dominance in H1 and have secured the #1 market share in document scanners.

There is a slight drop in demand for business systems like printers due to lockdown restrictions and school vacations. However, Epson’s commercial and industrial printer sales demonstrated aggressive growth as the market reopens and the election campaign starts. Meanwhile, the visual instruments market is expected to recover as corporate and leisure-related business reopens. Epson’s projector sales are expected to close at 144% by the end of FY21.

Epson’s Directions for FY21

During the FY21 Customer Support Midyear Forum, Epson leaders discussed their directions for the rest of the fiscal year. Included in their goals for product management is to maintain market leadership with the efficient use of resources and to rethink the way that the market is engaged.

Epson further improved the company’s customer support efforts by maintaining the base of its authorized service partners. Its boost on B2B support capabilities includes certifying its product specialists for corporate and onsite support for Epson products.

Additionally, Epson expounded on its supply chain management. Aside from ensuring efficient support for its products, Epson also secured spare parts stocking and availability. They backed up demo unit usage activities more efficiently through outsourcing and safeguard regulatory compliance by revising current processes.

Overcoming challenges caused by the pandemic

Epson as an organization prioritized its staff safety and well-being amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The company provided support for its employees such as oxygen tanks, care packs delivered directly to the employees’ homes, and home or office disinfection.

Aside from caring for its employees, Epson Singapore and Philippines joined hands to aid service providers all over the country. Both the SG and PH teams highlighted the importance of meeting the user’s expectations in line with market norms through safe and useful products.

Additionally, the company utilized its call center services to efficiently focus on B2B, demonstrate a higher level of technical expertise, improve online support platform, and optimize a fast-track onsite support as the economy slowly opens up.

Epson is already repackaging a lot of its technology to fit more into the higher demands and expectations of the market during the pandemic. The company is preparing to adjust into this change not just in the business aspect, but also in top-notch customer service.

Presidential Aspirant, BongBong Marcos is the Buena Mano in a No-Holds-Barred Interview in Net 25 Primetime Show A.S.P.N with Ali Sotto and Pat-P Daza

12:47:00 AM

The controversial Presidential aspirant, BongBong Marcos or BBM is the "buena mano" for Net 25 Primetime Show, A.S.P.N (Ano Sa Palagay N'yo?) for their interview with the Presidentiables. It is part of the show's effort to inform the Filipino people and help them be aware of the candidates' plans in becoming public servants.

Ali Sotto and Pat-P Daza are the hosts of the A.S.P.N. program, who throw in no-holds-bar questions to their guests, most especially to individuals running for positions in the government office, as for this specific show for BongBong Marcos. Right at the beginning of the show, they've given their straightforward declaration of their stand on the matters. BBM or not they intend to show what the people need to see.

Even though with issues and controversy when it comes to interview invitations, BBM sits in with Ali and Pat-P for the interview. A no-holds-barred interview and yet BBM was comfortable and was very enthusiastic in all of the questions thrown at him.

The A.S.P.N. interview tackled issues and plans for the government. As most people expect, what would be or how will it be in the first 100 days? Organization, as mentioned by BBM during the interview. According to him, we need to have that plan for the government not just for the segment parts of the country.

Another issue raised, which is probably what the Filipinos need right now, is discipline. There were parts of the interview where the hosts cited instances during the Marcos era. But for BBM, history is in the past, and what we need now is to concentrate on the present.

It is indeed a no-holds-barred interview but with no tension in the air. A light but meaningful interview to let the viewers be informed.

So, how about you? What do you think of the show and the questions that were thrown at BBM?

“The day of the session, I remember waking up and having a sense something really special was going to happen! Jarlo Bâse Made a Major Label Debut Release of a soulful, laid-back track “Kalapati”

9:39:00 PM

Filipino singer-songwriter Jarlo Bâse is ready to carve his own lane in the music industry with the release of “Kalapati,” his first official single under Sony Music Philippines.

Recorded at Sonic State Audio, “Kalapati” doesn’t sound like a total diversion from his previous releases, but it has a more pristine quality to it as far as production is concerned. The laid-back tune finds the promising newcomer embracing a lighthearted but soulful direction while remaining adept in making accessible R&B/pop music that yields ecstatic returns.

Lyrically, the song deals about “loving someone for reasons that actually matter,” and as Jarlo Bâse puts it, “accepting them for who they are now, not for who they were, and definitely not for who we want them to be someday.” With Jarlo Bâse’s signature smoothness adding an element of a much-needed chill, “Kalapati” makes for an exhilarating listening experience: a bop that is ready to redefine romance in an exciting, youthful way.

While the song was initially conceived four years ago, it was only in 2021 when Jarlo Bâse was able to record the track in a professional studio. “I had to be patient,” the multi-talented artist reveals. “Waiting for the availability of studio was the most challenging part for me. It was all about timing, and making sure I was ready when an opportunity would arise. If my memory serves me right, I finished the song around four years ago. Most of what we did was re-record the different stems of the track, and polish what needed polishing.”

Underlining his reputation as a skillful singer-songwriter who is open to possibilities and sonic ideas, Jarlo Bâse wrote and produced “Kalapati,” with Brian Lotho overseeing the recording and production process, and Munimuni’s Jolo Ferrer on bass duties.

“My good friend Jolo Ferrer played bass for this, which gave the track more color and movement. I also got to work with Brian Lotho of Sonic State Audio. Brian definitely knows how to work very well with artists and their songs. I thoroughly enjoyed the studio sessions with him.”

Jarlo Bâse is currently managed by Crown Artist Management—home to artists such as Maja Salvador (also its CEO), John Lloyd Cruz, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and more.

His latest single “Kalapati” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Philippines.

"Maling Akala" Hits Ryan Bang Real Hard, Finally "B.A.B.A.Y." to Yeng Constantino

8:00:00 AM

Yesterday, during the Tawag ng Tanghalan portion of "It's Showtime," Ryan Bang revealed the actual story between him and Yeng Constantino. A courtship that ended without knowing the true feeling of Yeng towards him. For Ryan, it was a sad story already because of his "akala ko di mo ko gusto." But because of the revelation yesterday, Ryan found out his supposedly score with Yeng. Looking at Ryan's face, I believe that the past decade of belief became his regret now.

That's one proof of "maling akala" or wrong assumption of the hints given by the opposite sex. In the case of Ryan Bang, he read Yeng's avoidance of his invitation as a sign of failure already but actually, Yeng is not someone who likes to party. So, that is something that boys should consider when courting, do your research and not just because she's pretty and hot. So, that's one regret or "sayang" because Yeng does have feelings for Ryan at that time.

Courtship and Love are like gambling. You make your bet to someone to win their hearts. Sometimes it's expensive, but others consider your situation and go if you can cope with the challenges.

Perhaps, and I'm not speaking in general but based on my own experience and assumption, boys do that ghosting thing when we get negative hints or signals from the opposite sex (from the girls). It's probably one way of avoiding the truth of being rejected and dumped.

For Ryan Bang and Yeng Constantino, it was great they have talked and cleared the gap between them. Just like in Yeng song's "B.A.B.A.Y." which says "an dali kayang magsabi ng babay" (it's easy to say goodbye).

5 Reasons Why Not Watch Belle Mariano's Daylight Concern

12:21:00 PM

Fans and followers of Belle Mariano are all in waiting for today's Daylight Concert. For the fans, it is one of the milestones for the rising star, and they don't want to miss this momentous event.

We all know how good Belle Mariano is in her chosen crafts, but will you not watch her concert tonight?

Here are five (5) possible reasons why not watch Belle Mariano's Daylight Concern.

You're not a fan of Bele Mariano. You'd rather have your night with yourself or with your friends who are not a fan of Belle Mariano. So, why waste your money on something that you don't like.
Your world revolves around your special someone, so spending a night watching a concert is not your priority unless your special someone is a die-hard fan of Belle Mariano.
You don't like online concerts. You prefer the real deal, too bad you'll have to face it that on-ground events are not yet possible at the moment.
You don't have money to pay for the concert ticket pass, so, you'll just wait till it is aired somewhere else on the net.
Because you still have overtime work that your boss instructed and he or she wants that report tonight. Sorry for you.

But if you're the opposite of all of these, well, you just have to be home early and make sure that your internet connections are stable. So that you'll enjoy the night!
