New Home Network for Janine Gutierrez

New year, new beginning. A new environment and a new home.

Yes, last January 15, 2021, Janine Gutierrez, an award-winning actress is now officially a Kapamilya after she signed a contract with ABS-CBN. Present together during the signing were Janine, ABS-CBN group financial officer Rick Tan, chief operating officer of broadcast and head of Creative Programs, Inc. Cory Vidanes, president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, chairman Mark Lopez, Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal, and her manager Leo Dominguez.

We all know that this beautiful and talented actress has already won different awards like Gawad Urian Awards and Urduja Heritage Film Awards for her role in Babae at Baril. So, many would definitely ask "why?" Well, just like what she said in some of the already recorded interviews, "New Year, new home." This is probably a straightforward thought of realization during the days of quarantine. We all need to have a fresh new environment aside from the four corners of our house but in Janine's case, it's probably the opportunity to work with other people.

Being officially welcomed as Kapamilya, Janine will join the musical variety show "ASAP' as a host, and is set for a teleserye under Dreamscape entertainment and a movie produced by Star cinema. So in the simpler term, we will be seeing more of this beautiful and talented lady on different ABS CBN platforms.

Matteo Guidicelli Sarcastically Annoyed Gamers and Sony PlayStation 5 Fans?

Last year, on December 11, Sony PlayStation 5 is officially launched in Asia, and there were different influencers and hardcore gamers who received a personalized set of PS5 gaming console. It is part of the promotional campaign of SONY. And Matteo Guidicelli is NOT one of them. How come I mentioned that Matteo is not one of them? Well, if you've seen the vlog of Michael V (Bitoy), the PS5 that he received is enclosed in a personalized box with his name on it with Sony's tagline for this "PLAY HAS NO LIMITS."

Okay, this story is actually about the new PlayStation unboxing of Matteo Guidicelli, this time with the PS5. This unboxing has indeed triggered, again, lots of gamers, game enthusiasts, and netizens. A day after the publishing of Matteo's unboxing blog, it flared lots of people. Why? Well, according to what most of us have watched with the video, Matteo deliberately annoyed all gamers. He did this by creating ASMR while ripping the box of PS5. His line is, "... you know what I have something special to do. The mic, I'm going to put it right (on top of the box) here for you gamers (while ripping the box)... ASMR ba tawag dyan? para sa inyo yan." I'm pretty sure gamers who watched the video are in shock or rather in rage.

Another thing that Matteo did that I'm pretty sure people will make a big sigh and sway their heads, is when he intentionally dropped the PS5 unit on the table. But don't worry because he did ensure that according to him the table is a shock absorbent.

Okay, this is his second PlayStation unboxing, which is the same as what he did on the first one. So, here are my reactions and observations.

If you're going to look at some of his unboxings, he intentionally unboxes savagely all the things that he bought and paid for. Probably, his line of thought is I bought and paid for this so I have all the rights to do whatever I want.
Another thing is that when he did the first PlayStation unboxing, there were lots of people who watched the video, whether they left a negative comment or made a bad impression. He doesn't care as long as people talk about him.
It is what he wants for his YouTube channel. His branding and marketing style that he creates for his YouTube channel and the subscribers. He wants to be different when it comes to unboxing.

So, just like what we always thought when it comes to doing this differently, "WALANG PAKS (Pakialaman)" or "WALANG BASAGAN NG TRIP." If you find yourself annoyed about what Matteo did, well, better keep it to yourself. You cannot do anything about it as long as it is not yours. Jojo Mendrez Pays Respect to Julie Vega's Grave

There's no heavy downpour of rain that will stop the Revival King, Jojo Mendrez in visiting and paying respect to Julie Vega's grave, which happened on January 3, 2021, at the Loyola Memorial Park.

Surprising and interesting, does this visit of Jojo Mendrez is an indication that he has been chosen to revive the song "Somewhere in My Past," which was popularized by Julie Vega? Or probably, he simply wanted to visit since, like many, the singer-actress is idolized by the Revival King? Whatever the reason for this visit I'm sure it is very interesting.

Aside from entertaining some of these questions, it can really be assumed that Jojo was really chosen to sing the famous song of the '80s. The visit could also be indicative of gratefulness to the singer-actress, or out of respect to the 80's famous teen star, to ask blessings of permission to revive her beautiful song.

Only Jojo knows the real score, while the creator of the song, Mon del Rosario, has not yet confirmed anything yet, after the auditions for the rebirth of the song. The Revival King still did not elaborate on whether he was given the green light to revive "Somewhere in My Past".

Take note that there were five (5) names that were shortlisted by Mon del Rosario to do the remake of the song "Somewhere in My Past". It is believed that these names are big names in the recording industry. So, to whoever will sing the song is still a mystery for now. So, how about you? Chie Filomeno Immediately Left The Princess DayaReese BlogCon?

January 1, 2021, the very first day of the year and the screening date of the movie "Princess DayaReese" where Chie Filomeno is one of the casts, faced the New Year with an accident in the family.

After the celebrity screening of the movie "Princess DayaReese" a virtual blogcon was held to address some of the inquiries of the bloggers. During the conference, it can be noticed in the first part of the conference that Chie turned off her camera and later on she opens the cam and interrupted by mentioning that something happened at their house then she left the zoom meeting. This made everyone felt worried and uneasy, most especially Maymay.

During the conference, a few of the cast were really worried and some of them could focus much on the conference. When the conference was finally over, Maymay, shared about the accident that happened with Chie's family. As describe by Maymay, Chie disclosed that her father had an accident where one of the fingers was cut-off.

Unfortunately, that's all the information that we got. We hope that Chie's father has been operated on and is recovering now.

Let the curtains down, and roll the red carpet as Zaijian Jaranilla makes way for a topbill in this newest and coming-of-age comedy film ‘Boyette.’

I know you have seen him play remarkable characters on television since 2009, including “Santino” of the hit series ‘May Bukas Pa,’ “Noah” in the series of the same title, and “Liksi” of ‘Bagani,’ Zaijian is now launched as a new movie actor to be watched out for as the film production arm brings ‘Boyette.’

Directed by Jumbo Albano, the film follows the story of Boyette (Zaijian), a 17-year-old asthmatic gay boy who was forced to pretend as a straight guy in order to join the prestige dance club where his childhood crush, Charles, is star dancer. Problem arises when he was likened by Nancy, the girl that Charles likes.

Will Boyette ever get the right steps toward his dream of dancing the world with Charles? Or his lies will tangle with his steps and cause his down fall?

Playing the characters of Charles and Nancy are Inigo Pascual and Maris Racal, respectively. Known by their fans as ‘MarNigo,’ ‘Boyette’ marks the first Star Cinema project of Inigo and Maris together.

‘Boyette’ also marks the directorial debut of Direk Jumbo who has been with Star Cinema as part of the creative team. He wrote some of the Vice Ganda-led blockbuster movies such as ‘Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad’ in 2017, ‘Fantastica’ in 2018, and ‘The Mall The Merrier’ in 2019.

IANNA SHARES POSITIVITY IN THIS TIME OF PANDEMIC THROUGH “PINAPA” DANCE CHALLENGE

Instead of having a luxurious celebration, young singer Ianna Dela Torre has found a way to share her blessings by challenging the creativity of her followers through a dance challenge of her bubbly track “Pinapa.”

Ianna opted to launch the said project instead of holding a grand debut celebration which would have taken place last March, when the strict lockdown measures due to COVID-19 were first imposed.

“My manager Tito Joel and my family decided to divert some of the funds to help our Kababayans in the time of pandemic. I wanted to share positivity and spread love through the song,” she shared.

“Pinapa” was the talented vocalist’s carrier single from her debut album released this year. It was composed by two-time Himig Handog finals placer David Dimaguila, and is a fun take on a millennial love-hate relationship story, including the occasional disapproval of one’s family members to the other.

“The meaning of ‘Pinapa’ in the song are ‘pinapatawad,’ ‘pinapakilig,’ ‘pinapasaya.’ What stuck to me the most is ‘pinapatawad,’ because even if others do us wrong, we must always forgive and spread good vibes,” Ianna said.

Meanwhile, winners for the #PINAPADanceChallenge were finally revealed, with Mastermind taking the 1st place with 284K combined YouTube and Facebook views, shares, and comments, followed by 2nd placer Sugar and Spice with 121K combined YT and FB views, shares, and comments, and 3rd placer Kwader Knows with 89K combined YT and FB views, shares, and comments. Ten participants also received consolation prizes, while PHILXPOSE was awarded as the “Most Creative Concept Dance Challenger.”

Angel Locsin and Jane De Leon: Clash of the Old and New Darna

Darna has been one of the iconic heroine comic characters that transcend from a number of generations already. It has moved from one actress to another, highlighting the very personality of the artist playing the role. Looked upon by not just the kids but even the grown-ups who are grasping for hope, inspiration, and strength. Topping it all, Darna is the heroine that is a symbol of woman strength, hope, and compassion.

In our current situation, the pandemic COVID-19 crisis, and the issue about press freedom, we truly need an icon to be our inspiration to move forward. An inspiration that will lead us all as we live with the new norm of our life.

Currently, two of the stars who have been allowed to play the iconic character, Darna, are in a silent online dispute. Are they?

If you can recall that last week after the announcement of the denial of the franchise of the ABS CBN Network, Angel Locsin, coined as the real-life Darna, made a call to her fellow actors to rise and speak up about the shutdown of the network.

“Yong mga Kasamahan kong artista na hindi pa rin nagsasalita. Ano tatahimik na lang kayo? Wala na kayong network? Ano magpapacute na lang kayo sa Instagram?”

With this act, celebrities and personalities expressed their gesture of support. Some went to the rally to join the noise barrage, and others made their way of support on social media. And one of the celebrities who take their support online is Jane De Leon, who is the current bid to play the role of Darna. The gesture is there, but and unfortunately, some lines are a bit off for the netizens.

“My support to the current crisis that the network is facing right now is not just measured by going out in the streets in this time of pandemic. Alam kong para sa nakakarami sa atin, masakit ang closure ng ABS-CBN. Nakiki-isa at nakikisimpatya rin po ako sa mga kapawa ko Kapamilya na nawalan ng kabuhayan.

…. Dadagdag pa ba tayo sa lumolobong bilang at patuloy na pagtaas ng COVID cases sa ating Bansa?....”

In my opinion, the reason that Jane made is a bit out of line. Knowing that the old Darna, Angel Locsin, has been doing her charity works at the start of the COVID-19 spread, even though she knows the risk is high. Jane should have made her statement simpler.

There's a rumor circulating that Angel made a rebut against the statement, and it's unpleasing. Will this be the start of the cold war between the two Darnas? For whatever will be the outcome of the silent or cold war between the two Darna, let us understand that playing the role of Darna is a privilege, and it comes with great responsibility - to give hope, inspiration, and strength.

Clint Bondad's Dating Escapades, The Break-up Reason?

Love hurts! That's what happens when couples started moving on their separate ways. As for the recent viral story on the world wide web, well, it's a love story that ended a long time ago. Unfortunately, and based on the posted messages and stories on the person's social media account (Clint Bondad), well, it seems he has not forgotten, yet, their love story.

So, what was the real story behind the breakup? Was there any 'kwento' that is to unearth to clarify the rumors and alleged scandals?

Well, there's a saying that 'when there is smoke, there is fire,' and it seems that the fire had just gone into an alarming stage. News and other stories about this matter are popping out like popcorn.

In an article that came out and published at the Facebook page of 'The Philippine Post,' clearly tells the story of Clint Bondad and Catriona Gray break-up. At that time, no one knows, yet, that the romance has ended. That's until Catriona finally revealed the end of their relationship in the show Tonight With Boy Abunda. The love tale ended without any more words about it.

Just like in any other relationship, it doesn't stop at that point. There's always the root and the cause, the reason that made that perfect bubble pop.

From the article, it tells that there's a reliable source about the Clint-Catriona breakup, a far deeper cause why the two end-up on different paths. According to the source, Clint had been going out with other women, that is why Catriona ended their love story. But take note that Clint wasn't just going out with other women, he's going out with rich women, and he does it for money.

Of course, photos are the best evidence to validate stories, and one personality was rumored to be one of his dates, Anne Jakrajutatip, a Thai transwoman and CEO of JKN Global Media. Later on, the rumors were dismissed.

So, we know that it is his life and whatever he does is none of our business, but since he's a celebrity and all eyes are on him, everything that he does, well, affects everyone, most especially, the fans that look up to him.

Kyle Velino on BL Series, Gameboys

It's a different kind of story and an unusual affair. It is probably one of the love stories that are flourishing in the country or some parts of the world and not one hundred percent sure, yet, if it is already okay with the current society. The one I'm talking about is the BL or Boys Love. Well, we cannot judge people if they find love from a different perspective other than the usual.

Speaking of BL, just recently, one of the characters in a BL series entitled "Gameboys" gave a little bit of his time in an 'Online Conference and Chikahan.' The celebrity I'm referring to is none other than Kyle Velino.

Kyle Velino is one of the actors under the management of ABS CBN Star Magic. Some of his projects and appearances on TV are Maalala Mo Kaya (MMK), Ipaglaban Mo, The Good Son, Play House, and his latest is Killer Bride. Now, he's doing the "Gameboys," which is the talked-about series of this generation. We all know that it is something unusual.

During the online conference, Kyle Velino shared that it was a privilege for him to be part of the series that opened the doors for several BL stories in the country today. He also shared that with Gameboys, they were doing the shoot differently. Before, they were doing it on-site with the camera crew and director, but this time it's different because all shootings are on their own. But of course, it is all based on the script and with the guidance of the director online.

Playing the role of Terrence, the Third Wheeler, according to Kyle, is hard because of the character. With his inclusion in the Gameboys, it was hard for him at first. Not only with the group but also because of the established fans of the main characters. He even shared that he also experienced being bashed. One of the memes created was the "Anti-Terrence Bill." As an actor, he took it lightly because, for him, he's doing his role effectively.

I haven't seen much of the series but I can say that Kyle is truly promising and with the way he reacts to the attention he is receiving right now, well, that's one attitude of an artist.

Aiai delas Alas The Comedy Concert Queen Joins GMA Artist Center

Joining GMA Artist Center is Ms. Aiai Delas Alas' way of paying homage to the network where she belongs. She's still the same comedienne, with the same entertaining spirit, and the same person who displays her personality, the only thing that has changed today is that she's doing this with a new partner, bringing more good vibes to her fans and supporters.

Love in the Time of COVID-19, Sam Milby and Catriona Gray

Just a few hours ago, while I was browsing my feed, one of the very unusual revelations happened today. A piece of news that will definitely make a 'kilig' moment, especially for the fans. When I saw the post, I remember one title of the book used in the movie 'Serendipity,' the title of the book was "Love in the Time of Cholera." It is a novel book created by a Colombian Nobel prize-winning author Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It came to me and thought of a similar title to the book, 'Love in the Time of COVID-19.'

So, who's in love and who are the parties? Well, it's one of the hunk actors who go by the name, Sam Milby, and the other involved party is someone well-known in any part of the universe, none other than 2018 Miss Universe, Catriona Gray. Yes, these are the two persons who are the talk of the news today.

Looking at the Instagram post of Sam Milby, "Worth every second of the wait. Most special birthday yet ♥️." There is no direct description of the bloomed relationship, but the phrase gives a signal of success. And if you're to read some of the comments, it implies agreement to the slogan.

Though looking at the social media account of the other involved party, it seems that there's no similar post found. It's on another account, or she wants it to be in private rather than showcasing it to the world.

Love in the time of COVID-19, we all know that there are rumors and news that the guy is actually interested in the girl. He made it clear in one of the interviews that he had with the media. But still, he never confirms any name. So, how does this love grows when we are in the time of COVID-19, quarantined, and in lockdown? Well, there's no impossible when you're in love with somebody and take note that the two are in the same church. So the possibility of communicating is always there. Kim Chiu Learns Her Lesson and Expresses through Her Single “BAWAL LUMABAS (THE CLASSROOM SONG)”

It's interesting that Kim Chiu fires back with something interesting for her fans and to everyone with the criticisms thrown at her for her viral classroom analogy statement and this is through her newest feel-good single “Bawal Lumabas (The Classroom Song)” released under Star POP.

“Okay lang magkamali. I learned my lesson. Now, let's celebrate!" Kim said on what message the track hopes to send out.

Over the past week, the Kapamilya actress’ statement in which she tried to compare the terms of ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal to the rules in a classroom spawned various memes and even dance remixes.

Instead of sulking, however, she came up with this song, which admittedly pokes fun at her confusing statement in its chorus, but also embraces the blunder that she made as a learning experience in its entirety.
v It also promotes positivity by reminding listeners that when faced with a personal or social crisis, the only way to turn it around is to fully accept it, respect others’ opinions, and move forward as a better person who has learned his lesson.

A product of an accidental collaboration, the words, and music of “Bawal Lumabas (The Classroom Song)” was written by Kim, Adrian Crisanto, and Squammy Beats, with back-up vocals by Chir Cataran and vocal arrangement by ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo. Squammy Beats also mixed, mastered, and produced the song.

Kim’s new single follows “’Wag Kang Bumitaw,” an inspirational song that dropped a day after her birthday last April 19.

Karen Reyes Got Scared of Admitting She's A Mom

For Karen Reyes, former housemate of the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Season 4, it takes a little bit of strength to admit that she is now a Mom.

Yes, Karen Reyes, the 2nd Big Placer of PBB during the 2012 edition, recently admitted to the public through her Vlog that she is already a mom. The admission took place during the celebration of Mother's Day. Take note that she is not just a mom but a mom of two kids already. Her eldest kid was two years, and the second one is still a baby.

Why did Karen keep it as a secret? According to her during the vlog revelation, "natakot ako kaya hindi ko nasabi agad." She got scared, that's why she didn't mention the pregnancy at that time, except for her sister and bestfriend. According to Karen, she got pregnant in 2017 and was still working with the movie "My Ex and Whys."

She got scared of the idea of losing her job once she admits the pregnancy. Remember that she was at the peak of her career at that time, and the admission would probably ruin her career. The secret continues, and last year 2019, her second baby was born. So it was still hidden until this 2020 Mother's Day.

Well, after watching her revelation, I can say that she was relieved, or more to say "nabunutan ng tinik."

Kisses Delavin Much Better To Go Solo

One of the beautiful products of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB), Kisses Delavin, has created a name. We have seen her become herself and truthful with her actions inside the PBB house. It was a few years ago when she was still on her sweet sixteen. It seems that time does fly so fast because just recently, Kisses celebrated her 21st birthday. So it was five years have passed since she started with her showbiz career.

The Love Teams
Right after PBB and with the thought that their partnership clicked to the masses, the KissMarc Love Team was born - Kisses Delavin and Marco Gallo. It was sweet at first, but later on, a break up happens because of some misunderstanding and issues.

After KissMarc, another partnership was born, the DonKiss - Donny Pangilinan and Kisses Delavin. It was the time when Vice Ganda included the couple in the movie for the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). Unfortunately, just like the previous partner, they went on their separate ways. It's another issue about her partner.

Just right before the outbreak of the COVID-19, McCoy De Leon was probably the next in line with her. Though, they do have some good chemistry on cam and off cam. But the problem was, she ended her contract with the Kapamilya network, so the probability of McCoy and Kisses is already 50/50.

The Probable Reasons
With her five years of being in the showbiz industry, it seems that Kisses is having problems with her partners. In five years, she already lost two love teams. Why is it so? Well, there are quite a few probable reasons that we found but no conformity of the subject.

Kisses Delavin, is an NBSB (as what we have heard from previous interviews), so the tendency to act and be sweet with her partner is probably unusual to her, which gives a different signal to her partner.
Being the only daughter and probably born of the traditional Pinoy family made her mindful of the simple courtesy and etiquette that are maybe different from her partners.
Shes too straight and vocal about her thoughts and feelings.

So these are only speculations that may or may not be accurate at all. Knowing that Kisses is a promising actress, staying in a love team is probably not for her. She can do more with her showbiz career without a love team.

Goodbye Menggie Cobarrubias

You've probably seen him regularly plays the role of a Congressman, a General, a Villain, a father, a Businessman, or a Doctor, from drama to comedy to action. He is one of the veteran actors who have played so many roles in the movie and television industry. Domingo "Menggie" Cobarrubias, passed away at the age of 68 due to complications from pneumonia. He died right before the release of his COVID-19 testing.

Another great actor has fallen. Seen from his social media account his last post was "GOODBYE", probably he already knows that he won't be around anymore.

Some of the films, series and TV shows he has played are Graceland, Bagman, Jaguar, Last Fool Show, Eerie, Beautiful Justice, The Killer Bride, Daig Kayo ng Lola ko, Ipaglaban Mo, and Maalaala Mo Kaya.
