Ai Ai Delas Alas, currently, is so thankful of all the blessings she is receiving. This was all shared during the bloggers conference held at Pamana Restaurant in Quezon City. One of her project, which is the AI HEART RCBN concert on June 24, 2019, 8PM at the Smart Araneta Colisuem, it is her way of helping the Kristong Hari Parish and to celebrate her 30 years in the industry.

During the conference she also disclosed some of the invited guest on her upcoming concert, in alphabetical order. Some of the big names I remembered were Alden Richards, Julie Anne San Jose, Erik Santos, Jose and Wally. This is her way of sharing the blessings that she has been receiving for the past 30 years of her career. Another interesting project to expect from her is the upcoming MMFF film with Coco Martin. This is her comeback movie for the MMFF after nine years.

One of the best parts of summer is the outdoor. Enjoying a day outside of the house without gadgets or the hassle of doing something else, just plain backyard chill under the sun. More important is that you’re enjoying it together with your friends or your relatives. Pure fun!

But of course in order to fully create these kinds of activity we need to have a set of tools, equipment or things to use in our outdoor backyard chill. The fun wouldn’t be complete without your tools of enjoyment. It’s better that you have some bits of information about this items so that the next time you switch a light bulb of fun on your head you already know what to do and what to grab.

Will also try to give a line of tips on what to do and tricks on where to buy or get these items. So what do we need?

1. Outdoor seat or chair. I can say that this is one of the important equipment to have when you want to enjoy the view on your backyard, chill and enjoy. A bottle of drink together with a grilled barbeque can really give you that moment. These seats should have comfort and by means of comfort should have foam or cushion on it to enjoy. I think outdoor cushion foam is much better, not only because it’s comfy but because you won’t worry yourself drying it when it gets wet. It can dry fast because of its material that lets the air flows within, making it dry faster.

I have read that Foam By Mail offers this kind of cushions that you can use and since we’re talking about outdoors they have plenty of cushion foams you can choose from. Take note you can order a custom shape so if your seat’s design is complicated you can have it customized.

So, with this kind of product your mini-pool or pool won’t be dull without the seats to relax after wards. Hard wood isn’t great to sit around.

2. Mini Pool. Well, not most of us are gifted with hectares of properties or wide land areas to have a pool build on it, so to have to simple joy of water splash we often end up with a mini pool.

Mini pools are easy to set up, all you need are the right space for the pool, a manual air pump or an electric air pump and the patience in filling this mini pool with air and water. Some mini pools have five layers of pockets to be filled with air so if you're doing the manual air pump you need to prepare your muscle for this as you pump it all way till you finish all air pockets.

You can buy these mini pools in water equipment stores or sometimes they are offered in department stores specially when it is summer. Cost of this mini pool varies from sizes so if you're getting the bigger one the more it costs. But if it's your happiness go with it.

3. Barbeque grill. Barbeque Sunday is actually created by Dads to make bonding moments more fun. Now, it's a usual activity of the family to enjoy every seconds together. All you need is your grilling station, charcoal and of course the meat.

There are plenty of grilling stations created to fit your need but if you're on a tight budget and all you want is for the family and friends to enjoy barbeque Sunday then you can have a DIY grilling station. It's not very easy but you'll enjoy creating it. An old tin bucket can do the trick. if the bucket's opening is large enough to accommodate a number of meats to be grilled it can be as it is or you can cut in half. That simple.

Here's a simple and earth-friendly trick to fire up the charcoals. Place the charcoals on top of the grill  instead of putting gasoline fire it up with pieces of scratch papers and some dried leaves. Then once the charcoal is burned put it down and start fanning.

4. Hammock. If chilling on a cushion isn't enough and you like the swaying movement of the swing then you can include the hammock in your list of equipment to have. There are plenty of types but what I like most is the cloth type hammock. You get security and it's cool.

5. Ice box.  Of it wouldn't be complete without your chest or ice box. That's where you chill all the drinks. One of the old time favorite brand that I know and considered to be one of the toughest is the Coleman.

Here's a trick to make your drinks easily get chilled inside the ice box. Put a significant amount of cube or tube ice and then add water to have the cold evenly to all your drinks.

These are your five important equipment or tools for a fun summer. Of course you can still have other addition to that.

Two of today’s comedy royalties Ai Ai Delas Alas and Bayani Agbayani join together in a romantic comedy film that will surely give you a good laugh and a kilig feeling, “Feelennial”. This is the first romantic comedy movie of the two that will surely a hit not only to the millennials but also to the feelennials (feeling millennials).

Feelennial is a portmanteau of “feeling millennial”, which is about the middle-aged individuals who feel and act like millennials. They are the titos and titas of today who try to adopt the lifestyle of the younger generation. In this movie the term Feelennial is also used in another term to describe something that made a good mix of romance.


The story is basically about the two middle-aged individuals who try to be part of the younger generations in order to fit in. Ai Ai plays the role of Madame Bato-Bato, a rich single mom who has everything except the attention of her only son Nico, which played by actor-model Arvic Tan. In one of her feelennial activities, she meets Chito played by Bayani, a rich bachelor who recently won a huge sum through lottery.

Their first encounter doesn’t turn out too well, and what ensues is a flurry of mishaps and misadventures, pitting Delas Alas and Agbayani into funny, yet thought-provoking situations on how romance and family dynamic has changed in today’s society.


Since Ai Ai and Bayani are surrounded at work by a young group of stars and production people, whose millennial habits they have somewhat imbibed as well. So here are some of the traits to spot or know that you're a 'feelennial'.

• You're a middle-aged individual who's taking time to learn about gadgets, OOTDs, and a variety of Social Media apps, plus online dating.
• You're into online dating and trying to fit in to impress who ever on the other end.
• Most of your friends and followers are out of your age. The good thing is that you're becoming a model to them.
• As much as possible you keep up with the young generations trends.
• You go to places where the young generations are hanging out.

These are just some of what the feelennials does. But being feelennial isn't but because it's much easier to reach out to the young ones, especially someone very much close to you. It's cool and it's great!


So what to expect in the movie "Feelennial"? Well better prepare your jaw and tummy for a good laugh as Ai Ai and Bayani will surely give you the best throw of comedy lines. Not to be a spoiler but one line is a sure hit to everyone, the "pakihanap" line.

I know that its been more than a month already since the story of Infinity Stones and Avengers ended with the EndGame. The hype of watching it first was something extraordinary for an avid fan of the story and the characters. It was a fulfilling experience especially if you have completed the whole story and how it begun.

The flow of the story is okay but if you're stuck in the comic book story you might have some unresolved issues, specially with the characters. You might expect more or less with how they portray the character. It's really disappointing if they didn't match picture you are familiar with and sometimes confusions of who the character is. So lets just accept that this is a different story with the characters and heroes that we are familiar with.

The Endgame tells the story of how the remaining heroes brought back other heroes banished by Thanos and how they ended the war then save humanity from the terror of Thanos. It is the contuation of the Infinity War. So, the story goes and ended. Now I just got some questions in my mind that still unanswered even though I read some of the explanations about the loopholes of the story.

• With the removal of the infinity stones from the time line, how come the present isn't affected? 

• What happened to Gamora if Blackwidow already sacrificed her life? Was she spared from dying in the hands of Thanos? 

• How did Captain America returned the soul stone if they returned it on the same time they removed it from the timeline? Was Blackwidow spared from sacrificing herself? 

• Captain America stayed in the past and lived his life with Sharon Carter. How come there's no anomaly in the timeline that affected the present? If he was in that timeline how will Sharon Carter do what she did when Captain America was gone? 

• If Captain America returned to the past and lived his life how was he able to joined the Avengers? And why the timeline isn't affected?

FurryPinas 2019, the premiere Furry Convention in the region is just a few days away. We’re listing down everything that you need to know about the 2-day furry con!

For two-days attendees can get to enjoy a beach-themed summer extravaganza with FurryPinas 2019: Fun in the Sun. We have invaded the whole Bayanihan Center from June 8-9, 2019 and have set activities and the overall feel of the event would take you to the beach even though we’re in the middle of the metro!

Activities
There will be a mix of fursuit fun, on-site events, seminars and lessons happening all throughout the two days.


Most of the main activities will happen at the Campos Hall while we are also hosting social activities and workshops on conference room C. Meanwhile games on the event itself will be hosted over at conference room B.

And a staple for each Furrypinas convention, is the Talk and Panels that we have set to not just help our Furry Community, but also provide a safe avenue to introduce your friends to the fandom with talks centering on Getting Started on the Fandom (day one) with Danielle Frivola G. Frivaldo. Other talks and panels are scheduled to happen too from day 1 and this is happening at conference room D.

I like horror films but sometimes when it is too much I opt myself from watching. Of course there are certain factors or reasons why I rarely watch and the most is that I'm scared. Who wouldn't be, specially if the film is almost as real as it is. Perhaps one of the movie that I'll try not to excuse myself when invited is he latest movie from Jodi Sta. Maria, which is a true story of Clarita. She is the very first recorded possession incident happened in Manila, Philippines.

To give you bits of details why Clarita is interesting to watch.

• 1. The movie Clarita is based on a true to life story of girl named Clarita who is the first ever recorded spiritual possession in the Philippines. The incident happened during the 50s, 1953 to be exact.

• 2. In the movie, Jodi Sta. Maria plays the role of Clarita where she performs every scene without any double. The hanging and possession thing being thrown in the air is all hers, that is why she mentioned that this movie is very challenging for her. Also this is her first time to play this kind of role.

• 3. Aaron Villaflor plays as a priest and admitted that it was hard because of the prim, right and proper way of acting as a priest during that era. He also change his hairstyle 8nto kempee look.

• 4. The movie came about after the documentary created about Clarita and the story of her possession which was done on the other network. Also about the information from the Vatican that there are more recorded information about possession incidents through out the world.

• 5. The possession scenes of Jodi requires full face and body prosthetics. To get the face prosthetics they need to cover Jodi's face with just a whole for the nose to breath. Jodi is claustrophobic that when the prosthetics are being made Derictor Derick Cabrido need to assure that she's not alone by holding her hand. 

The movie Clarita is under Black Sheep, take note that the film outfit will take a short break from creating unique love stories and now venturing into horror film.


Clarita is topbilled by Jodi Sta. Maria who plays the role of Clarita and the film is directed by Derick Cabrido. It is slated for a nationwide run starting June 12.

Why do you need to watch the movie Sunshine Family? Well, there are plenty of reasons but I can share two things, it is about family and it gives life lessons. Here are my list of lessons that I think you can get from the movie.

1. Love your moms! Mothers are truly the light of the family. When things aren't as good as we know it, mothers will always be there and be the light to every member of the family. She's always their to soften hard hitting situations and will always take things the brighter side. 
2. Life and sh*t happens. No matter how cautious we are, there are things that happens in life that made us do unnecessary and unwanted things. These are situations that help us or break us, depends on how we keep our faith in the Lord and with the family.
3. The movie, Sunshine Family, teaches us to value family. For the head of the family, it doesn't matter how much you bring on the table but how you value moments when you provide for the family. The time spent with them and the moments cherished because of what we, fathers, provide.
4. Acceptance. With the growing number of people accepting that there are other genders to be considered, still, the Sunshine Family movie brings in that thought of accepting an individual who ever he or she is. Sometimes even in races there are times that we couldn't easily accept who they are.
5. The truth shall set you free. We know that this phrase is already over used but, hey it still works and with the movie, Sunshine Family, it teaches us to tell the truth no matter what. Sometimes these things are just test for us. 

To give you few details about the story, it is about a Filipino family who had been living in South Korea and is about to go back to the Philippines when a misfortune happened where they got involved in a hit-and-run incident. The father, played by Nonie Buencamino, decided to surrender to the police. In the process, things happened and the family relationship got to understand each other.


The movie is directed by Kim Tai-Sik and produced by Spring Films and Film Line. Lead stars of the movie are Nonie Buencamino as the Father - Don Mapalad, Shamaine Buencamino as the Mother - Sonya Mapalad, Sue Ramirez as the daughter - Shine Mapalad, Marco Masa as the son - Max Mapalad, and Shinwoo of Blanc-7 played as the boyfriend of Shine.

The movie is shot entirely in Seoul and Yangpyeong County.

One of the interesting and beautiful actress in the Kapuso Network, the kontrabida in most drama and fantaserye of the Kapuso Network, and an award-winning actress, Glaiza de Castro, once again brings her soul to her first love, which is singing. After the successful release of her album "Magandang Simulain" in 2017, with songs that gained more than a thousand streams on Spotify, comes with another inspiring single "Kapalaran". The new song, "Kapalaran" is released under  PolyEast Records.

According to Glaiza, the creation of the song which started when her friend  Alwyn Uytingco sent her some parts of the songs about his Japan trip. This inspired her to write and complete the song “Kapalaran”. She wrote the lyrics and melody for the song with a story on her mind.


Her latest single tells about a persons "kapalaran" or destiny. Surprisingly her music is somewhat shares a story about her as she pursue her first love, which is singing. During the media conference held in PolyEast Record she disclosed that she'll be taking some time from acting and will pursue her love for music as she goes to London to learn more about it. It is certificate course where she can do more once she finished it.

Ironically most artist or musicians study the art first before working but for Glaiza's part it's the other way around. She'll be living alone and learning during her stay in London.



“We all have gifts or skills or talents and whatever it is that you feel you like to do, yun ang kapalaran mo”, Glaiza said as she wants to encourage her listeners not to be pressured to what the society tells or dictates you to feel, keep pushing to what you want because whatever it is, it is your destiny.

Aside from its unique melody and range, adding spice to the music is singer/songwriter and spoken word artist Juan Miguel Severo’s spoken verse-- making it more soulful and heartfelt. Glaiza has always admired Juan Miguel for his words, sincerity, and power to communicate.


"Perfect siya sa song kasi I wanted to convey a strong message and it's impossible not to listen to him when he says something,” Glaiza added.

All these are based on the basic tenets of the Whole Child approach which ensures that each student is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. Further, we look into the sustainability of each standard in terms of how it comprehensively improves the whole community.

Every school must sustain a culture that supports and reinforces the health and well-being of each student. This extends to each school's health education curriculum and instruction support being designed to prioritize and reinforce the push towards a healthy learning environment, not just in terms of physical health, but also with the mental, emotional, and social dimensions of health. This means that each component of health is integrated into the holistic approach: lifelong achievements are supported through adequate knowledge of basic fitness, positive attitudes and behaviors, and basic life skills that promote a healthy balance for young learner's developing minds and bodies. Having a healthy environment, in this sense, should also comprise of well-integrated professional development and assessment practices that help support and address the health needs of everyone in the learning community: from teachers, to the staff members, to parents, and to the young learners themselves. This means having, setting, and aspiring to reach realistic health goals for students and school staff that are built on accurate data and sound science: from healthy eating patterns to food safety and nutrition, to routine food services and special programs for students and staff.

A safe environment means a happy and positive environment for learning. When we consider the school as a learning environment, the first thing that comes to mind is how it is built and designed with the learner's safety as its priority. The grounds, playground equipment, vehicles, and details of the internal and external spaces of the school must be secure and must meet all established safety and environmental standards. The structures must be well-built, with good flowing spaces for walking and adequate spaces for vehicles like bicycles and other automotives. The school must also bear in mind the needs of those who are physically challenged: properly placed ramps and holding rails must be made and polished without defects. With these physical safety measures in place, the definition of safety can now be extended with further indicators that help build a space where students can feel valued, respected, and cared for. Every school that aspires to create a holistic learning environment must take into account that the behavioral and social aspects of development are also important in providing a safe space for young learners. Practicing social-emotional skills like effective listening, conflict resolution, problem solving, personal reflection and responsibility, and ethical decision making helps shape the way young learners develop their perspectives of the world and the community around them.

Learning in a rapidly changing world can be complicated, and one thing that runs through a holistic learning environment is this: connection. Broader and stronger connections between a student, the school, and the whole community that they live with is key to creating and sustaining active learning strategies and new modes of cooperative learning and project-based learning. This helps schools offer and provide a range of opportunities for every young learner to contribute to and learn within the community at large: from service learning to internships with industry partners, apprenticeships with renowned professionals in a young learner's chosen field, to civic and social volunteering projects that widen a young learner's awareness of the world around them. With the wider awareness brought about by these initiatives, young learners can now begin to be active citizens, voicing their concerns over problems that bear a relevance to their local situations and further reflect on the changing needs of a global world. When a young learner knows how their decisions resonate with the world at large, they begin making more responsible decisions that help them throughout their lives.

Personalizing learning means growing a set of strategic goals tailored for each student, one that foresees the outcomes of how a student will progress with a framework for decision-making that is based not only on what the future demands from each learner, but also on what each student's potential can bring forward, as shaped by a holistic approach to education. The way we create what we teach is as important as how we serve them to young learners. Schools following the Whole Child approach must regularly review whether they are still aligned with the policies and practices promoted with the initiative to push holistic learning forward: to sustain health, safety, engagement, support, and challenge for every young Filipino learner. With organization in mind, schools must also strive to connect with local communities and agencies that foster the young learner's capacities, helping each other meet specific goals for students through active collaboration and coordinated intervention.

A NOTE FOR THE FUTURE

By sharing and opening this new approach to everyone from the students, to their families, and the schools and communities that shape their learning environment, we hope that today's students can be better equipped and improved to take on the challenges of living with the radical changes that the 4th industrial revolution has brought about.
