It was Saturday morning, while everyone is still enjoying their good rest and sleep, me and my companion were already on the road on our way to the venue of the TELESERV's Bloggers Breakfast. It's an event organized by TELESERV to let bloggers know about what they are doing and what they offer to their respective clients.

Since it concerns about birth certificate, I am determined to attend and inquire some particulars matters concerning our baby's birth certificate. A case which we cannot undo because of a mistake which we're not at fault. So, I know at least I would get an answer for that.

Teleserv Bloggers Breakfast

The venue was just in front of our main office at BGC, the place was called HARVEST and it's just recently opened. Great breakfast to choose from cozy place though the number of the the attendees surpasses the comfortable seats of the venue but good thing that most of us are not picky and choosy. Like me, I would sacrifice comfort against the choice of learning something new and useful.

Emmanuelle’s Dream Comes True

9:17:00 PM

OPM’s newest sweetheart Emmanuelle has undeniably what it takes to make it to this Industry– enchanting singing voice, pretty face, innate songwriting talent. However, unknown to many, this young singer worked very hard to finally fulfill her dreams of having her own album – Universal Records’ latest release Emmanuelle.

“From the first time I auditioned in front of executives of Universal, it took me around four years to finally have my album released,” shares Emmanuelle. “Upon the advise of my management Cornerstone and the label, I had to undergo series of voice lessons, learn to play instruments, write better songs, and pratice my tagalog.”

These sacrifices, according to Emmanuelle, make this album extra special. Aside from being her first release, she feels that a lot of stories are enveloped in this album. The album’s carrier single Happy, a feel-good pop tune, was written by Emmanuelle when she was just 14 years old.

“The inspiration for Happy? Well, one time, my best friend brought me home,” she says. “So, we tried to capture that in the music video with Ivan Dorschner.” Aside from Happy, Emmanuelle penned songs like Dear Diary, and Tonight. She also interpreted songs of Ito Rapadas (Sandali Lang) and Jude Gitamondoc (Sarap Mabuhay). She also has her rendition of the hit ballad God Gave Me You.

Aside from being a gifted singer and songwriter, Emmanuelle is also a promising guitar player.

Pop Rock Princess Yeng Constantino has a special duet with Emmanuelle in the album – Manong Guard.

“Masaya talaga ako na nakasama ako sa album na ‘to,” admits Yeng. “I am extremely happy that Emmanuelle has been given this chance to record some songs that she wrote herself – dun sa aspect na yun, pareho kaming singer-songwriter.”

Emmanuelle is being managed by Cornerstone Talent Management Center (www.cornerstonetalents.com).

There’s Something with Karylle’s Smile

11:07:00 AM

Singer-actress-host Karylle has a lot of reasons to smile lately –self-produced Roadtrip album just turned Gold, hosting stint in Showtime, post-Valentine concert Love and Laughter with Christian Bautista was successful, Best Actress nomination from the Monte Carlo Festivals for The Kitchen Musical, and the Best Performance Bronze Medal and Best in Writing Gold Medal the series got from the recently-concluded New York Festivals.

With these, it seems that it is the most opportune time to release her latest single from Roadtrip – I’ve Found My Smile Again. This is the third single after the upbeat OMG and the sweet, sincere Basically.

Aside from record stores, Roadtrip can be downloaded at www.mymusicstore.com.ph, a one-stop mega-shop for all your music download needs, also boasts of exclusive downloads made for MyMusic Store supporters only. It also has a library of thousands of songs and albums for you to choose from.

The song talks about having a reason to “smile” again.

The music video, helmed by ace photographer Raymund Isaac, had its premiere last April 23 on MYX.

“I am really thankful that Raymund agreed to direct this video,” says Karylle. “I really love it. Raymund is a genius!”

On the other hand, Karylle is still ecstatic in the recent win of The Kitchen Musical at the New York Festivals (Gold Medal for Best Writing and Bronze Medal for Best Performance).

“We are all very happy to have won the New York Festivals,” says Karylle. “I was in touch with our director before the awards. Honestly, it didn't cross my mind that we would win but on the day of the awards, I kept praying that we would win.”

Karylle is also nominated in the Best Actress category at the Monte Carlo Festivals. She recounts, “I didn't really want to believe it, since I didn't hear from our TKM group. When I saw the nominations list, I was in disbelief seeing the likes of Tina Fey, Juliana Marguiles, among others to be among the other nominees.”

The Kitchen Musical also emerged as an intermedia-globe Gold Award winner at the 2012 WorldMediaFestival, a global competition for modern media that honours and celebrates excellent solutions in Corporate Film, Television, Web and Print productions on an international scale.

Making the Switch

12:26:00 AM

MANILA, Philippines—March 2012—Car trouble in the middle of any Philippine road can't be fun.

It doesn't matter what it is—an overheating engine, a radiator leak, a cracked tank, a damaged fan; the experience of your car breaking down on your way to work, to school, to your house, to wherever, is never a pleasant one. It's also likely to cost plenty of time and money, to be spent on emergency phone calls, towing services, repairs at the automotive center, replacement parts, and other incidental fees. One way to avoid these costs—to prevent the problems from even occurring—is to let the experts take lead.

"A quick and cheap fix might temporarily remedy faulty machinery, but it provides no guarantee that the problem will go away," says Mike Gonzalez, General Manager of Roberts Automotive and Industrial Parts Manufacturing Corporation (RAIPMC). "Upon evidence of any car trouble, too many will act without a sense of urgency, too many will fall into thinking that band-aid solutions are going to address critical issues with the car."

By "quick and cheap fix", Gonzalez means the tendency of car owners to buy surplus auto parts, to patronize service shops that don't offer warranties, or, as a first option, to DIY: do it yourself. But cutting corners isn't a good idea—especially not in a country where the high-temperature climate and traffic conditions place a significant strain on a car's engine bay. Radiators, in particular—the part that cools a vehicle's internal combustion engine and stabilizes temperature within the entire system—are prone to deterioration and damage. Yet despite the knowledge that the radiator is a priority component, car owners continue to be lured by "cheap and used" instead of "brand new," by low cost estimates instead of bottomline value.

"It's important to realize that problems with a radiator can't be solved by having it repaired, or by a replacing it with a surplus or used radiator," notes Gonzalez. "It's much more practical to make the switch to a brand new radiator."

To galvanize car owners into action, RAIPMC is working continuously to supply “Evercool,” the company's acclaimed line of high-quality automotive radiators. Launched in 1993, Evercool has since expanded to include 350 models of radiators, for cars, trucks, buses, agricultural machinery, industrail equipment, even computers and power plants—each model built to deliver world-class performance, rock-solid durability, and value-driven practicality.

With an ISO 9001:2008-certified quality management system, JIS-compliant (Japanese International Standard) materials, and a manufacturing process that subjects each Evercool radiator to a number of rigid quality and durability tests, RAIPMC is able to create radiator products that don't let customers down on the road. The reliability of Evercool, in fact, has already been recognized by its growing clientele of original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including Mitsubishi Motors Philippines, Isuzu Philippines, Columbian Motors, Pilipinas Hino, and Suzuki.

All Evercool radiators are certified 100 percent leak-free, with a life expectancy of around 100,000 kilometers and—with proper maintenance and care—5 or more years of usage. They are also equipped with more water tubes and cooling fins than that of other radiator brands, thus maximizing cooling efficiency even amidst tropical temperatures and extreme driving conditions.

"By the way it looks and the way it works," Gonzalez says, "Evercool represents a unique design breakthrough, carefully crafted in a way that helps prevent the car's engine—and the car owner's temper—from overheating."

RAIPMC's expertise is not limited to manufacturing. The company is also known for its signature brand of service excellence, something that surplus parts sellers, shady dealers, and less capable service shops can't claim to provide. Apart from a strong warranty that protects each Evercool radiator against defects, RAIPMC also offers complete radiator assembly, special fabrication, supply of core, and recoring services—delivered by well-trained professionals who work to meet the highest standards and lift the burden off your shoulders (and pockets).

As RAIPMC's product and service portfolio for Evercool continues to expand, car owners now have a much more valuable solution to car trouble than surplus shopping or a DIY fix. Let the experts take lead—and let the joyride roll ever onward—with Evercool.

Fusing Function with Fashion

11:24:00 AM

Dell unveiled today its ultra-portable XPS 13 laptop, the most compact 13.3-inch Ultrabook featuring an edge-to-edge glass, near “frameless” display, all-day battery life, and the latest innovative technology for a superb overall user experience.

Dubbed “The Best of Technology and Fashion,” designer Pablo Cabahug unveiled a trunk collection that echoed the almost monochromatic hues of the XPS 13 Ultrabook. The creations came in the same shades as the ultra-savvy gadget: the high-gloss elegance of silver; the sleekness of ebony; and the immaculate seduction of white. Cabahug wove unto his designs not just Dell’s delicious colors but also his own brand of fashion genius that even the most jaded spectators were amazed.

Dell XPS 13 delivers superb craftsmanship, durability and mobility. Its thoughtful design goes beyond beauty. With bonded Corning® Gorilla® glass, machined aluminum and carbon fiber, all these are incorporated to enhance the performance of theUltrabook™. Strikingly thin, with more room to view, the XPS 13 Ultrabook™ is a slim 6 mm (0.24”) at its thinnest point and only 18 mm (0.71”) at its thickest point; featuring a 13.3" HD display cleverly fit into a footprint that's similar to an 11" laptop.

It delivers powerful performance with 2nd Gen Intel® Core™ processors, giving Ultrabook™ the speed and performance you’ve come to expect from the XPS family.“The XPS 13 is the culmination of an extensive design and development process focused on creating the best Ultrabook on the planet,” enthused Christopher Papa, Country Manager of Dell Philippines. “It is specifically engineered to help both our consumer and commercial customers become more productive and connected in every way possible. From the edge-to-edge frameless display that packs more screen space into a compact body, to the innovative carbon fiber base that is lightweight and cool to the touch, the XPS 13 exemplifies our commitment to offering industry-leading mobile solutions that deliver durability and performance without compromise.”

Always up to date, its Intel® Smart Connect Technology keeps your email, contacts, calendar and social networks up to date, even when your XPS 13 Ultrabook™ is in sleep mode. “When Dell began the conversation of what an Ultrabook could be, we carefully considered how to provide customers not only incredible mobility, but also the kind of performance experience you would expect from something much larger,” added Christopher. “A ‘good-enough’ Ultrabook wasn’t good enough for us. We were committed to developing what an Ultrabook can and should be with the XPS 13 and providing a superior user experience.”

What’s more, the unit turns on instantly and boots in as little as 8 seconds; resuming from sleep mode in just 1 second (4 seconds from deep sleep). A solid-state drive and Intel® Rapid Start Technology makes this possible.“The XPS 13 represents the most balanced of the Ultrabook class of notebooks to hit the market so far”, said Alvin Go, product manager of Dell Philippines. “Ultrabooks started by forcing people to make a choice between beauty and practicality and Dell took the time to make sure their offering would not only be very attractive, but address the critical needs of business and education buyers as well. Perhaps the best way to describe the XPS 13 is ‘beautifully uncompromised’.”

The refined features truly feel as good as it looks, due to a comfort-designed keyboard and a sleek, gesture-enabled glass touchpad. Together with Dell, Cabahug proved that, indeed, fashion and technology are not far apart but closely interwoven. And in instances like this event, are linked like peas in a pod. Dell Inc. (NASDAQ: DELL) listens to customers and delivers innovative technology and services that give them the power to do more. For more information, visit www.dell.com.

Kamikazee is now 'Romantico'

7:30:00 AM

Kamikazee, with their signature onstage antics and witty songs, has established itself to be one of the hottest rock bands of this generation, yielding numerous hits like "Narda," "Tsinelas," "Chicksilog," "First Day High," among others. For their fourth album "Romantico," the rock band goes extremely personal with songs that re-tell their love experiences.

"What makes this album special is that all the songs here are expression of our experiences and the stories of people around us," says drummer Allan “Bords” Burdeos. "It is an album very close to us as these songs represent parts of who we are now."

Frontman Jay Contreras adds, “Para siyang kuwento ng mga taong, umibig, umiibig, iniwan, nasaktan, at umibig ulit.”

Kamikazee considers this album special because this is the first time that they had agreed on the album’s theme even before the collection of songs was written.

The band added that usually the songs come first before they think of an album concept, but for “Romantico,” it is clear to them that they want to tackle love as its central theme.

The album's first single "Halik" talks about love grown tired, expressed in Kamikazee’s signature sound.

When asked whose story that was, Bords quickly replied, "secret!"

Other standout tracks are “TNT,” “Tamis,” “Tagpuan,” “Sana,” “Sobrang lungkot,” “Kislap,” “Wo-oh,” “If You’re Not Here,” “Paano,” and “Huling Sayaw.”

“Romantico” comes after the hit albums “Kamikazee,” “Maharot,” and “Long Time Noisy.”

Formed in 2000, the band is composed of Jay Contreras on vocals, Jomal Linao on guitars and backing vocals, Led Tuyay on guitars, Puto Astete on bass and Bords Burdeos.

Track List:
  1. Halik
  2. TNT
  3. Tamis
  4. Tagpuan

  6. Sobrang Lungkot
  7. Kislap

SM City San Lazaro 3 Day Sale

9:50:00 PM

This is my second time to visit this side of Manila where SM City San Lazaro is located.  I remember during my kid days, my father would always bring along whenever his going to watch a horse race.  San Lazaro was very known before as horse race track, since the closure of the said race track they made it something useful and beneficial to the people in this side of Manila.

Since it was Saturday, people were there to grab some great buys and some foods to munch in during the sale.  Discounts of about 20% to 50% can be avail by shoppers but of course it's only during the 3 Day Sale of SM City San Lazaro and that is from April 13, 14 & 15, 2012.  It's Saturday so shoppers still have time to shop until Sunday.

The SM Departments Store has something more to offer for their shoppers, for every Php3,000.00 worth of  shopping, they are entitled for a free Jelly Bag which is great for this summer.  Great to keep those things like clothes, foods and other stuff needed for the great beach getaway.

Of course staying inside the mall during the sale makes you hungry and tired so there are food establishments like the Mang Inasal which is a franchise own by Sir Paolo.  They are just new but people are coming in and out already.  Sir Paolo is a hands-on owner and he does love to work with his people that's why even him wears a uniform.

Aside from Mang Inasal there are also other food establishment in the food court where you can munch in a sumptuous and affordable meal.  Some of them are the Inihaw Express, Oriental Bowl, Seafood Grill, and Lydias Lechon.  Hmmm... yummy!

So head on to SM City San Lazaro!
