The far north of Metro Manila is the next place to be when it comes to night food market. Kwento Ni Toto shares what SM City Fairview has to offer to the public on their night food bazaar. So, if you’re tired and bored of the usual fare of dining options offered by some restaurants then you might want to experience this kind of night market. #EatsAtSMFairview which started last Thursday night, July 31 from 7 PM to 2 AM, this will serve as a dining destination of the area where casual food trippers can indulge as they taste samples from some forty different food vendors and kitchens.

The tasty Lechon, who wouldn't resist the crispiness and the juiciness it brings to one's palate.   For Filipinos, it is one of the well loved dishes in every occasions, most especially during fiestas.  Tables definitely have one of these, even just a portion of the whole lechon or roasted pig.    

Kwento Ni Toto shares this newest store in Makati that offers another tasty option for lechon lovers. Balamban Liempo is newest place to look for tasty lechon, liempo and roasted chicken.  It is owned by Jojo and Honey Vergara.  Both of them were formerly employed in a company but wanted to have a business on their own, so they decided to have a grill station in their own garage and that's where it all started.

If you're a lover of Korean Cuisines and knows about Chef's Noodle, then you might want to know what's new with this Korean Restaurant.  Kwento Ni Toto is here to share what transpired a few days ago in one of the branches of Chef's Noodle and specifically at their Robinson Magnolia Branch.  The newest and freshest new with them is that they got a new celebrity endorser.  I'm very much sure that the ladies will be thrilled about him being the endorser of the said restaurant.

A good new for frequent goers of Yoshinoya in SM Mall Of Asia as Kwento Ni Toto shares that their newly renovated store opens its gates once again for customers.  Yes, if you missed the gyudon then perhaps it's time to go back and fill that tummy with flavorful Yoshinoya dishes.   Their store is now bigger and wider plus the interior designs are great.  More vibrant orange-colored designs and furniture to complement the official color of Yoshinoya.  They'll be catering more foodie lover from the south and from metro.

In my opinion Mr. Timothy James G. Yang is well versed with the acceptance of Filipino palate to Japanese cuisines, that is why he prefer to be on the fore front in serving the customers and making sure that everyone met the standard of service.

Kwento Ni Toto's roots are not from Iloilo but also from an Ilonggo speaking province. As most Filipino know the term Toto is an Ilonggo word which means kid and that's where this blog came about. This was mentioned because our recent food escapade roots from Iloilo.

The "inasal" word came from the Hiligaynon which means roasted or grilled and today's generation was very glad because they don't have to visit the Visayan region just to experience the taste of inasal.

Juan Stop Inasal is one of today's restaurant where you can experience the true flavor of inasal. Their place is just located along the street of N. Domingo St. and right before Balete Drive just be sure on the look out for the colorful banderitas on their logo.

It's an awesome day for everyone and Kwento Ni Toto is in to share another great moment from one of the leading Beef Bowl serving restaurant, YOSHINOYA.  Yes the company that brought the flavorful Gyudon has its newest place in the north as they open its latest branch in Ayala Fairview Terraces.  A new restaurant to experience and a new food to indulge with.
Correspondent Justin was there as part of the online media people who witnessed the opening ceremony.   With the usual ceremony of ribbon cutting which was graced by its President/General Manager, Mr. Timothy James G. Yang together with the media, friends and guests.  And of course don't forget the shower of blessings with the tossing of the coins.

Celebrations are already in the air and guess what?  Jollibee invited Kwento Ni Toto to celebrate Christmas with them in an exclusive media get together and Christmas party.  Yup, it was a party to give thanks to all the media, online and offline who have been their partners in spreading the words through out the year.

We have featured different cuisines and restaurants here in Kwento Ni Toto and the best part of that is sharing those enticing food experience with you, dear readers.  We have been to a Chinese Restaurant, a Japanese Restaurant, a Middle Eastern Restaurant, and more.  Savoring in each and every meal sure give us a full stomach plus a new place to visit.


For this moment of our food escapade our correspondent Justin were able to visit one of the Korean Restaurant in the metro.  Yup!  It is indeed a Korean Cuisine this time.  Though we were able to taste some of the Korean food, this time it was the first time for Kwento Ni Toto to feature a Korean Restaurant.   Chef's Noodle Korean Restaurant is the name and it is located at the Ground Floor of SM The Block.

Kwento Ni Toto shares what's something new with Max's Restaurant.  As always, they're having innovations with the menus that they're serving to us.  So without any more blubbering and storytelling here's what's new to their list of menu.

A significant part of tradition, Max’s Restaurant has brought authentic Filipino cuisine to the forefront. Kwento Ni Toto experienced the food in Ginger's Cafe Bistro!  Yup, Toto did experience it and it was superb.  A rare experience coming from an adopted resident of Pampanga, though it wasn't official perhaps the length of 10 years span of working in Clark may somewhat make a good appeal to be called adopted.  For that time there are few places in Pampanga that made a good mark on my palate.  I'm not a picky eater but I sure know the taste of good food when I savor one.

Last Thursday was something new.  It was something different than the usual though the main ingredient is familiar.  The style of cooking, the delivery, the approach, and the added ingredients are new.  Of course that's according to me and myself but you can still deviate with my thoughts if you want to.  Hahaha!

It's a great weekend to have something fresh and tasty. And it was great that Kwento Ni Toto was able to indulge in one of the rich culture when it comes to raw dishes, its none other the Japanese Culture with their different cuisines. Personally, Kwento Ni Toto is a great fan of Japanese food and of course their anime as well.


So, for this indulgence we're taking you right in the heart of Malate somewhere in Adriatico St. where one of the known Japanese restaurant's serve the best Japanese food. The name of place is called IZAKAYA KENTA. Owned by Dr. Sakura Medina and Mr. Erwin Medina, siblings who's very fond of Japanese food. According to them the IZAKAYA KENTA have already flourished in the streets of Adriatico and was already established before but due to some unforeseen matters the restaurant closed and the owner declared bankruptcy. The Medina siblings, Dr. Sakura and Mr. Erwin being eager to venture into restaurant business and being raised and a number one lover of Japanese cuisine, they took the opportunity to get the name and have it registered under their names.

The king of burger's and the original home of the Whopper hails their newest member of the royal family with fresher, juicier and more "FILLET-vorful" taste as Burger King introduces the Chicken Crisp Fillet Sandwich.    Launched last August 17, 2013, this newest addition is for sure one of the burgers that will delight chicken lovers.

Max's has never stopped innovating specials for their customers.  As most of you who've always been my visitors here in Kwento Ni Toto you'll definitely get the regular updates and details about Max's and what's new with them.  Sir Bobby and the rest of the Max's Restaurant's team sure got plenty of tricks under their sleeves and who knows what will be the next to their line of dishes.

But before jumping long let me first share to you their latest offerings which is great for the Barkada Gimmick Night.  This is Max's Restaurant's response to the needs of the younger market, particularly the yuppies and those who working in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry.   This innovation will sure re-define how Filipinos chill out after a long day at work and of course the Friday Night Barkada Gimmick.

It is great when you know that you get to be the first to taste, know and read about different things.  Much better if it is about food because you get to experience it first hand.  But sometimes there are things that an individual couldn't be in two places.  So Kwento Ni Toto sought the help of one of his correspondent to witness and experience the launching of McDonald's newest offering, the McSpicy Chicken Burger with a #McSpicyIsHere in which it is really here in the Philippines already.

Correspondent Justine was one of the lucky people to taste the spiciness and flavorful goodness of McDonald's Spicy Chicken Burger.  According to Justine this burger is a burger with a kick.  Spicy but tolerable enough for the taste palate of Pinoys.

Foodies galore!  It's another foodtastic time with Max's Restaurant.   As usual we were invited for a dinner date with Max's as they share something new for everybody, especially this coming Mothers' Day.  A good day to treat Moms at Max's Restaurant.
