Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is now showing in most of the theaters.  This movie is the sequel to the 2007 film Ghost Rider.   Of course the lead actor is Nicolas Cage who portrayed also as the character Johnny Blaze in the first movie of Ghost Rider.  The film was directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor.

Though I'm also a Marvel Comic fan, the story of Ghost Rider the whole story vague and unfamiliar to me.  Perhaps because I haven't read the full story itself.

According to some movie critics who have seen the pre-screening of this movie, it is less better than the first one.  So, I somewhat want to know if what they have said about this film is justifiable.

So, if you don't have anything to do today, better visit the theaters and see for yourself.

Wacky band Tanya Markova invaded various radio stations and a music channel to bring their version of a make-over—what they call Tanya Mark-over to mark the release of their latest single “Da Facebook Song (Ang Ganda Ganda Mo)”.

The group best known for their hits “Picture Picture”, “Disney”, “Linda Blair” and “PA Roadie Fernandez” visited radio stations Jam 88.3, Magic 89.9, 90.7 Love Radio, 91.5 Big Radio, RX 93.1, Mellow 94.7, 95.5 Pinas FM, 96.3 EASY ROCK, Barangay LS FM 97.1, 99.5 RT, 101.1 YES FM, Tambayan 101.9, 102.7 Star FM, 103.5 WOW FM, 106.7 Energy FM and 107.5 WIN Radio as well as music channel MYX and made up the DJs and crew there a la Tanya Markova and posted it on various facebook pages. Even fellow MCA Music artist Solenn Heussaff got a taste of the “Tanya Mark-over”. If you are wondering why what Solenn has got to do with them, listen to the song on your favorite radio stations. Definitely a good way to launch their new single which as the title suggests about the social networking site Facebook. Soon, everyone will be singing “Chat churu, chat chat churu” the same way they infected the people with “Picture Picture”.

“Da Facebook Song (Ang Ganda Ganda Mo)” is included in Tanya Markova’s repackaged album “Tanya Mark-over” which features all their hits and its music videos that became part of the charts and people just can’t stop singing. This 2-disc album also has remixes and acoustic version of “Picture Picture”, acoustic version of “Jacuzzi”, their version of the 90s hit “Creep” plus more surprises from the band.

Universal Records dominated the 2012 MYX Music Awards with 23 nominations from 18 categories.

Parokya ni Edgar, enjoys seven nods for Favorite Music Video, Song (Pangarap Lang Kita), Artist, Group, Collaboration (One Hit Combo with Gloc9), and MYX Live Performance, plus Guest Appearance for JM De Guzman for Pangarap Lang Kita. Christian Bautista, on the other hand, earned five nominations (Favorite Artist, Male Artist, Remake for Love Moves In Mysterious Ways, Media Soundtrack for I Am Already King, and Guest Appearance for Alodia Gosiengfiao for All That’s Left), while Sam Concepcion got 3 (Favorite Male Artist, Remake for Forever Young, and Celebrity VJ).

Pop Rock Princess Yeng Constantino, a consistent honoree of the MYX Music Awards, is nominated once again at the said awards show this year.

Yeng, nominated as Favorite Artist and Female Artist, has established herself as one of the most prolific, talented young talents of her generation.

She recently staged her hit pre-Valentine’s Day concert Ok Lang Maging Single sa Valentine’s Day, which packed the Music Museum last week.

Yeng’s latest single Pag-Ibig, a song about unconditional love written by Yeng especially for the concert, was launched online and reached 1 million views on Youtube a few days after. It is still one of the top songs in the MYX Daily Top 10.

Yeng is being managed by Erickson Raymundo’s Cornerstone Talent Management Center.

One of our correspondent was able to attend the press conference of the well known TV series two decades ago.  It was loved and watched by many viewers during that time and I believed my mother was one of those fans of the TV series.

In 1956, Gennaro and Carmela Sbarro left Naples to migrate to the United States. Of course, their Italian roots were never far behind. As they branched out to more locations and grew into delivery for family celebrations in 1967, Carmela "Mama" Sbarro gave a new twist to the business: a restaurant with a pizza area in full view of customers and a fast moving self-service style, with the same Sbarro family tradition of delicious, authentic Italian food. In 1972, Pampanga native Jaime "Jimmy" Salvador joined the Sbarro business. Jimmy worked alongside the original founders and their sons, living and breathing the family brand.
