We've known Galema: Anak Ni Zuma in the 80s and it was something new.  Now, with the advancement of digital and movie technology "Galema: Anak Ni Zuma" will be something awesome to watch.


“Galema: Anak ni Zuma” is an offering of ABS-CBN as part of the grand celebration of 60 years of Philippine Television.  The story is one of the classic Pinoy Komiks hit in the 80s as well

Kwento Ni Toto will be participating this coming October 6, 2013 in a prestigious and well known advocacy call of ABS-CBN Foundation's Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig (KBPIP) together with the Regional Network Group (RNG) and The Filipino Channel (TFC) as they asked the people once more to heed the call of saving the environment.  Hoping for thousands of participants ABS-CBN's "One Run, One Philippines" will proceed with their plan and prayerfully nothing will go wrong.

ABS_CBN Foundation's Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig (KBPIP) together with Regional Network Group (RNG) and The Filipino Channel (TFC) will commence the "One Run, One Philippines will invade Quezon City, Cebu City, Bacolod City, Davao City, and Los Angeles (USA) to clamor for the protection of different environmental advocacies.

As usual encourages participants to be mindful of the cleanliness and orderliness. The Quezon City leg or the fifth "Run for the Pasig River" will be held at Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC) with 6:00 AM gunstart for both 3k and 5k categories.  I just hope that this time I will be able to join the fun run.  If it will pursue this will be my first ever fun run.   The said run will have its starting line at Technohub overpass straight along Commonwealth Avenue then head to QMC for the finish line.

Of course, preparation will be made for this event in which they will close portions of the Commonwealth avenue for the runners but will still have lanes for the vehicles.  There will also be parking zones located at Philcoa, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Agriculture, Department of Environmental and Natural Resources, sugar Regulatory Commission, Trinoma, Wildlife, Quezon City Hall, National Housing Authority, and side streets of University Avenue, Visayas Avenue, North Ave, Quezon Avenue, East Avenue and Kalayaan Avenue.

Once again Kwento Ni Toto bring forth the happenings at SM Hypermarket's Master Chefs.  As for this year they're making it more big and more extravagant.

If you're one of the fans of National Geographic Channel then you should miss this episode premiering on September 24, 2013, Tuesday at 9 PM.  It is National Geographic Channel’s new series Brain Games, a show that explores the human mind’s powers of perception as well as the skills that it affords us. Using mind-boggling experiments, brainteasers, optical illusions and hard science, Brain Games shows viewers how the human brain works and how their lives are affected as a result.

NGC will be showing a Brain Games special on September 24 for its premiere. In the premiere episode, viewers are lured into the world of sleight of hand, of advanced card play and card magic, with a focus on the oldest card trick in the world, the Three Card Monte. Card performers will be revealing the secrets behind their tricks as well as exploring the psychology that allows people to be tricked. Also, the connection between human beings and primates will be highlighted, giving us a better understanding of our social interactions and dynamics, and how we perceive our relationships because we are hard-wired in a certain way.

It's a great weekend to have something fresh and tasty. And it was great that Kwento Ni Toto was able to indulge in one of the rich culture when it comes to raw dishes, its none other the Japanese Culture with their different cuisines. Personally, Kwento Ni Toto is a great fan of Japanese food and of course their anime as well.


So, for this indulgence we're taking you right in the heart of Malate somewhere in Adriatico St. where one of the known Japanese restaurant's serve the best Japanese food. The name of place is called IZAKAYA KENTA. Owned by Dr. Sakura Medina and Mr. Erwin Medina, siblings who's very fond of Japanese food. According to them the IZAKAYA KENTA have already flourished in the streets of Adriatico and was already established before but due to some unforeseen matters the restaurant closed and the owner declared bankruptcy. The Medina siblings, Dr. Sakura and Mr. Erwin being eager to venture into restaurant business and being raised and a number one lover of Japanese cuisine, they took the opportunity to get the name and have it registered under their names.

Last week, GMA artists creates a ruckus around Asya Restaurant as the Dormitoryo BlogCon was held together with the bloggers and other media practitioner.  Passersby and fans of GMA artists are turning their heads as they pass the restaurants.  Well, that's one of the things they could and I know the feeling of seeing stars and celebrities.



Present during the Dormitoryo BlogCon are Lauren Young, Joyce Ching, Ruru Madrid, Enzo Pineda, Ashley Nordstrom, and Annicka Dolonius.  All are in their vibrant moods to welcome questions from the bloggers present in the event.


Dormitoryo is one of GMA Networks newest suspense series.  Something new out of the usual Sunday afternoon stories that we've seen in the past.   The story is about an incoming freshman of Mass Communication student named Hazel Mendoza which is played by Lauren Young.   It is about her search for an answer about the death of Maika Benitez, played by Winwyn Marquez, who died in the same dormitory.  The death may looks like an accident for some but it is a mystery for Hazel and she wants to know more about it.

Okay!  I know this was late already but thank goodness that it was extended for a few more days.  Well, for a start I think this is my third year to join this writing project and it was nice to see different blogs being nominated. New ideas and new breeds of bloggers roaming the waves of the net.  Most of them are really getting influential every year.  I remember the first time that I joined, I nominated my own blog, this blog, Kwento Ni Toto.  I was excited seeing my blog get included on other participants lists.  It's a feeling of accomplishment.  Too bad I wasn't good enough to influence more bloggers but at least I learned a lot from that experience.

So for this year, I'm joining the writing project as an influenced reader.  Yup, this blogs that I'll be listing down somehow influenced me to pick their blogs and write something about it.  To some I think they've influenced me personally for I know some of this bloggers and have seen them influence others as well.  To those that I still don't know I'm sure I'll get to know them somehow and perhaps soon.

This writing project is now on its 7th year and it has constantly seeks in identifying new and emerging blogs that are making an impact to its reader this 2013.  Thanks to this writing project that these blogs are given a chance to be known and be read.

So without any further ruckus I'm bringing here my picks for the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs 2013.  This is not in any order of influence but a plain list of my picks.

As we all know Axe is a brand that brings unique products for men.  I remember one of their contest that made chaos in one of the malls in the metro, the AXE Raid.  They sure made a bang with that contest and now they've brought much higher than the ground as Axe created another unusual contest for the brave and strong willed men with the Axe Apollo National Challenge.  Having 400 men strive and battled to be the last two winners to be shipped off to train at the international AXE Apollo Space camp in the U.S. and with a possibility of being the First Filipino into Space.


Correspondent Justin witnessed the battle of these men as they all undergone with different challenges to test their strength, their will, and of course their guts.  As the usual saying "no guts no glory" and for these 400 men they are there to perhaps test themselves for how long they can last or perhaps win as well.

Calling all runners, running enthusiasts or just those who wants to join!  Kwento Ni Toto shares another running event this month of September.  It may be the start of the ber months but the TIKTAKBO 6: WATER DASH will still splash away.  Be part of the first-ever water-themed fun run in the country!  This pioneering fun run will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Academic Oval of University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.

Though I don't know what will happen to this running event but according to them waves of excitement begin as the showers of the Hydro Race Arc open to signal the start of the race.  It will be sure a lot of fun.

Teleseryes are Pinoy's way of unwinding and keeping that dreadful stress off.  Here at Kwento Ni Toto we try to bring the experiences to our readers, as if they were there also enjoying that talk of their favorite stars.  As much as possible we bring them together with the stars through this blog Kwento Ni Toto.

For this specific experience we are jumping to another favorite station of the masses, the GMA 7 and gladly yours truly was invited to one of their blog conference.  The Binoy Henyo BlogCon.  This teleserye is already in mid of their climax and the story is also been seen by most of the televiewers of GMA 7.   So for those who don't have any much of an idea about "BINOY HENYO" here's a short description, it is about the story of a mother and son that teaches parents to raise their kids to be the best they can be highlighting the importance of a strong parental involvement in the child's learning and development.

ABS CBN releases one of its biggest prime time series for this year as they celebrates 60 years of Philippine Television they will release one of its biggest prime time series for the year, "Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin" topbilled by action-drama prince Gerald Anderson and award winning actress Dawn Zulueta.

Gerald and Dawn played the role of the mother and son characters of Miguel and Zenaida Dizon who will then suffer in the aftermath of a controversial rape case.  Together, mother and son, they will seek for justice and find ways to prove that Miguel is innocent.

One of Kwento Ni Toto's favorite voice, yup it's none other than Zia Quizon.  She is one of the many Pinoy Singers that I love to listen.  Grateful and thankful that I was given a chance to see and hear her sing in person.  She looks more likely of her mother in person.



Her first album was great and that's why I was eager to hear more from her.   The first album launch was the propeller that shoots her right on top by balancing the sound of jazzy and folky voice.  She indeed prove herself that she could breath life to the OPM industry.   So, now she's back with her sophomore album to entice more Pinoy listener to enjoy more of the OPM.  Completing her track are eight original cuts including Zia's own compositions and two classic revivals.  Her album is released under PolyEast Records.

What comes to your mind when the word resort is mentioned? I think you're thinking of beach, vacation, swimming pool, and hotel. You're right and what about when the Province Rizal is mentioned? Probably you'll be telling about the wood carvings, artists, Higantes Festival and of course the petroglyphs. Well, that's right and that's where Kwento Ni Toto had its escapade. The place is found somewhere in the Province of Rizal.

I believe it is one of the good place near the metro and it is a good place to have fun, relax, and enjoy. It is a place to put off the worries of work in the office and far away from the dreadful smogs in the city.
