Globe's Today I Will Campaign Moved Anne Curtis

5:19:00 PM
“Today I Will Go Lang Ng Go.” I never thought before that this was a commercial campaign created by Globe. When I first saw this I thought it was just a status of one of my friend who posted it on Facebook but when I check out my Twitter I did saw some tweets that has a TodayIwill hash tag. I got curious so I tried to look for it and got surprised that it was Globe’s commercial campaign. Silly me!

I have seen the commercial a few times already and I never thought that it will also engage in twitter and facebook, more commonly on twitter. Social media has indeed broken the barriers. There’s no reason for people not to see the commercial, whether it is on TV or online. Plus the campaign has become more engaging and people participate in it.

Some of whom I know participated as well in Globe’s campaign and even celebrities did participate in the #TodayIwill tweets. To list some of them, below are screenshots of their tweets.

It is really nice knowing that celebrities do participate in this kind of campaign.  It was even nicer knowing that rival company’s endorser also did participate in the campaign.  Yes! I read it in PinoyGossipBoy’s blog that Anne Curtis Smith, the endorser of the rival telecommunication company, has indeed joined in the campaign through her twitter. Unfortunately, Anne Curtis Smith removed the tweet from her twitter account. Perhaps she realized that it was the campaign of the rival company that she was endorsing.

This is Anne Curtis tweet taken from Pinoy Gossip Boy's Blog post.
Perhaps the campaign of the rival channel network should apply to her “Think Before You Click!”

In my opinion, Anne Curtis should have thought about it before she posted something like it. She’s a celebrity, a public figure and an endorser so everything that she does or post should be thought thoroughly. She might get into trouble if she keeps on doing that. Nonetheless, the campaign was really appealing that’s why she was moved to participate in the campaign.

If you haven't seen the Globe's commercial, here it is and get moved by "TodayIWill!"

Real LIFE Foundation: Putting the Fun Back In Run

1:40:00 PM
Many people are now getting into running, not just into loosing weight and getting fit but also getting the fun out of it. Running alone does not really give you motivation and the boost to go run for more and finish what is intended to finish.

I have been running on my own during my bachelor days but I never had a chance to join any running event. My supposedly 1st time to join the running event was hindered by the typhoon before. Maybe it meant to happen.

My recent run was unprepared. Very much unprepared because I run with only a Sandugo Sandals and take note I run 5K (watch out for the upcoming post about BonPen Festival). It was really an unusual experience. I was able to finish the run in 35 minutes which is not bad for a runner on sandals.

On November 12, 2011 I will be joining the Race for LIFE 2011 which was organized by Real Life Foundation to support their educational advocacy. I just hope and pray that I will be able to wake up early and be there at the venue ahead of time.

There will be a 3K, 5K and 10K race and also an “Amazing Race” Big and Small team category wherein one adult and one chile (5-10 years old) will run, skip, hop and much more to the finish line. If you have not registered yet, it is still available at the following
  • Chris Sports (SM Megamall)
  • Nike Park (Bonifacio High Street branch), and
  • G/F Bookstore Every Nation Bldg., 32nd St. cor. University Pkwy, Bonifacio Global City

Here are some important details to take note:
  • Starting point: Grounds in front of Every Nation Building (32nd St. cor. University Pkwy, Bonifacio Global City).
  • 10km race kicks off at 6 AM
  • 5km, 3km, and Amazing Race “Big & Small” races start from 6:15 AM onwards
  • Registration available in Nike Park Bonifacio High Street branch & Chris Sports Megamall branch during regular store hours and at the G/F Bookstore of the Every Nation Building in The Fort from Tuesday-Friday, 1pm-5pm.

CD Signing Experience at Sponge Cola Blogger's Night

9:30:00 PM

It’s really great experiencing things that you only once seen on TV or on mall tours. Yes, I was one of those people before who only watched from a distance. I watched those people line up just to get their CDs or posters signed by their favorite artist. For some reasons I never did that before. Not until now.

I was fortunate enough to experience and have my CD signed by each of the members of the rock band, Sponge Cola. This was my very first time! The good thing is that I never have to fall in line and wait for long hours just to have my CD signed by the artist. Another good thing about it is that it’s exclusive, casual and cool. No harassed mood!

Yes, I was one of the fortunate bloggers to attend a Blogger’s Night Meet and Greet with the Sponge Cola. Aside from meeting them in person, we also get a chance to hear them sing live. It’s more like a normal school room jam. Some of the bloggers shoot some question to the band which they answered willfully excluding the last question about relationship.

Here’s a press release about Sponge Cola’s latest album and their thoughts about it.

Sponge Cola is the only recording band to reach diamond after Eraserheards for the outstanding sales of Tambay (EP) via Coca-Cola’s summer promo, Sponge Cola scores yet again as the band releases its highly anticipated fourth full-length album titled Araw Oras Tagpuan under Universal Records. But the band is not content to rest on its laurels yet, this is just the beginning.

Composed of Yael Yuzon (vocals/guitars), Erwin Armovit (lead guitars), Gosh Dilay (bass) and Tedmark Cruz (drums), Sponge Cola has always made its presence felt since breaking the local music scene in 2002 via Madonna’s Crazy For You.

In the past nine years, Sponge Cola has gone from nowhere to full-fledged phenomenon on the strength of its three bestselling albums: Palabas (2004), Transit (2006) and Sponge Cola (2008). Only one of the few bands that couldn't help but hit, Sponge Cola went on to producing chart-topping singles such as KLSP, Gemini, Jeepney, Bitiw, Tuliro, Movie, Pasubali, Puso, Ayt!, Makapiling Ka, Di Na Mababawi and so on.

From then on, the band's popularity doesn't seem to be waning. It was evident from numerous awards and citations received by the band. From favorite artist to favorite song to favorite group to favorite rock video to favorite vocalist to achieving gold and platinum awards, Sponge Cola’s rise to full stardom never stops, and it shows no sign of flickering.

In fact, the rocket ride to the top doesn't look as if it's going to end any time soon.

Just recently, Sponge Cola's Tambay (EP) earned the band a diamond record in sales. The band in unison says, "It's a great feeling. We're very thankful. We appreciate the support we get from people."

The band’s new album's title says Araw Oras Tagpuan—date, time, place—Armo said they just wanted to create something that strings our ideas on space, time, fate and choice together.

Yael elaborates, "I like the swagger that the title suggests. It's like ‘Give me a time, date and place and we'll be there.’ But with said swagger, it still feels down to earth, which is I think how are we these days, in my head at least.”

Araw Oras Tagpuan consists of 12 tracks that include massive hits Tambay, Regal and the new hit single Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay. Other songs included are Walang Wakas which became the theme song of ABS-CBN’s series Wansapanatym: Rod Santiago’s Buhawi Jack; New Steel which features Paolo Valenciano of Salamin, Ria Redulla, and Los Magno of Out of Body Special; and Warning featuring Norma Love, Iwa Motor, and Mowmow of Tanya Markova.

In this album, nine out of twelve songs were mainly written and co-written by Yael along with Gosh. It is interesting to note that the collaboration with these artists adds hip hop, new metal, and retro to the band’s definitive music.

In an exclusive interview with BANDS Magazine when asked what the video for Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay is about and what new fans can expect from it, Yael shares, "My brother Yanny who plays guitar for Pupil and sings for Archipelago directed it in Bacolod. As a theater director, he's known for bold, riveting plays, often pushing boundaries and never failing to move. It was our first time to fly outside Manila to shoot a music video. It showcases the beauty of provincial life. And yeah, love."

"I just want them to listen freely and take whatever they want/can from the material, Armo says when asked what they would want the audience to hear within the lyrics of their songs from Araw Oras Tagppuan. Yael adds, “[And] Catharsis lang naman as always."

When asked what happens in his head when he composes – the creative process before he writes it down or put his hands on the guitar – and how his persona plays a role in that process, Yael says, "It depends. Sometimes I play with words, then a persona is formed. Sometimes it's me, sometimes it's someone else. It's usually someone similar to me at least."

"Fall where they may. And then someone figures it out for us. We just write," says Yael when asked if he consciously thinks, "Oh, this will work for us with the market; that will work well with the mainstream"? Or do the songs just fall where they may.

In the latest issue of Pinoy Magazine, correspondent Boy Garchitorena writes that it would be hard to pick singles in this record that throws a lot of possible ones. The record as he puts it screams a resounding "we’re not done!"

The one thing commendable with Sponge Cola is that this group is not afraid to experiment and take the music to different places. True enough.

That’s what Sponge Cola always known for. They are not afraid to experiment and take the music to different places. "This is just how we are. We do whatever we want to go, making music is what we do. We keep it real. [And] We’re all about the fun," Yael says.

And when asked how their values and faith changed in these remarkable years of success, Yael proudly states, "They haven’t, they’ve stayed the same, and we’re still the same people with the same beliefs, fighting for the same principles."

The album Araw Oras Tagpuan is out now in all major record bars nationwide under Universal Records.

Sponge Cola’s Blogger’s Night is brought to you by Universal Records in cooperation with Pinoy Magazine (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Pinoy-Magazine-Fanpage/158056554242211), BANDS Magazine (http://www.facebook.com/bandsmagazine) and official online partner Orange Magazine TV (http://www.facebook.com/orangemagazinetv). Nivea's Silver Protect Lazer Tag Challenge

3:10:00 PM

Once again a challenge has been sent unto my doorstep. This time it was not in a gym set up but in an arena.  Yes, it's in a arena of futuristic set up.  It's a Lazer Tag Challenge in LazerXtreme at Market! Market!  Of course before the lazer tag challenge starts we were given roll ons of the Silver Protect Deodorant.  Aside from the roll ons and spray they let us know first the whole thought about Silver Protect.  Good that ever since they have deodorant for men I was already using it.

According to their short presentation, men naturally sweat more than women do.  Which is true and correct.  Men also have more bacteria in their underarms; on one square centimeter of skin, they could have a million microscopic organisms that cause body odor!  Well, it is quite right because men and more active and more into the dirty works.  However, modern men on-the-go do not want to have to stop and worry about body odor.  They want to be confident that their deodorant gives them highly reliable protection for 48 hours whether at work or at play.  With sophisticated scientific technology, NIVEA FOR MEN Silver Protect is the deodorant specifically made for men that they can count on even in extreme conditions.

It is further explained that NIVEA FOR MEN Silver Protect Deodorant is the first formula to utilize the antibacterial power of silver ions and fights body odor by targeting its cause.  These highly active molecules incapacitate odor-forming micro-organisms, stopping body odor from being produced in the first place.

Despite being tough on bacteria, NIVEA FOR MEN Silver Protect is still mild and gentle to the delicate skin of the underarm, minimizing the chances of getting irritation or redness.

After that brief information it's game time.  It's time to test the power of the Silver Protect.  We were group into three, red, blue and green.  We were given the vest and the lazer guns plus the instruction on how to use and what are the rules inside the arena.  After that it's game on.

After two rounds of blasting, running, and hiding our group was unfortunate.  We're the loser among the three group but well enough I get to enjoyed it and take note that's my first time to try lazer tag at LazerXtreme.  It was fun!

Thanks to NIVEA FOR MEN Silver Protect because we were not that smelly despite the sweat that we have made because of the game.

To try it here's the suggested retail prize of the product.

Roll-On
25mL –Php55.00
50mL –Php95.00
Spray
150mL –Php180.00

Orange Magazine TV Relaunched

7:51:00 PM
A month ago, I was luckily invited by the OrangeMagazineTV.com to their relaunched celebration at Gwielos in SM Mall of Asia.  It was Saturday and it was just right to have a night out event together with some other bloggers.

The Gwielos place was not that big but it's good enough to cater quite a number of attendees.  It was an evening of food, raffles, and fun.  There were lots of prizes that comes from OrangeMagazineTV.com's sponsors.  I think everyone who were there did win in the raffle and take note not once but twice.

Also OrangeMagazineTV.com opens their door for contributors and correspondents that will be sent to different events.

Talking Straight this October

1:05:00 AM

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s already October and the ber month is really on its way.  There has been a count down already with the coming of Christmas.  I think it is already time to save some money for the coming holiday season and one way of doing that is by getting a right and cheaper plan.  Of course it should be well and stable enough to provide the services that you need when it comes to communications.

The getting richer effect has expanded... by LittleBard95

My cellphone plan subscription before wasn’t that good enough when it comes to signal and connectivity.  Sometimes it also adds up some charges that is not supposed to be there though it was great because of the freebies.  Still I have to forego because of some financial matters.  Sustaining it is way over my monthly budget.

I think the main problem of most cellphone plan subscriber was how they could maintain their subscription with very low fees.  With the vast number of telecommunication companies, landing on one that you can truly rely on is really hard.  Sometimes when you get one it lacks of the other services and sometimes vice versa. That’s why a lot of people are switching to a more adjustable plan that they can just switch it to a mode that would benefit the plan holder and his other beneficiaries or links to his plan, from talk to messages or from messages to talk plans.

I think it’s high time that you and I should get something that will save us a lot of money.  It’s more of saving for the holidays gifts.   Now, if that continues then perhaps a little more money to save for some personal stuff that you would like to buy for the holidays.

Ubisoft Kinect Preview. Watch more top selected videos about: Ubisoft, Kinect

As for me, if I get to save a lot for simply switching I’ll definitely buy something for me on Christmas day but of course it is still September and we should get on for this month and hope for the best these days.

Straight Talk will have good things on their list for this October.  One is that subscriber will definitely Feel Richer with Android and maximize their business or their communication with The power of Android

Here are other values of their plans.

1.     The “All You Need Plan” meets even the needs of heavy phone users with 14.000 minutes, 1,000 texts and 30 MB of web data.

2.     Unlimited Monthly services is only $45, and includes calls, text, picture messaging, and web.

3.     Imagine unlimited calls, text, picture messaging and web for a whole year, for only $499.00.

4.     411 calls are included at no extra charge.
